Synopsis
It is almost the end of the year, and Houkago Tea Time has been invited to participate in a live house on New Year's Eve! The iconic band members are Yui Hirasawa, the carefree guitarist who is enthusiastic to play music; Mio Akiyama, the shy bassist who gets embarrassed easily; Tsumugi Kotobuki, the gentle and sweet keyboardist who finds joy in normal activities; Ritsu Tainaka, the extroverted drummer who likes to tease Mio; and Azusa Nakano, the rhythm guitarist who is one year younger than the rest but slightly more mature. Performing in the set gives the girls the rare opportunity to meet various people from different bands, including the one that invited them, Love Crysis. Will Houkago Tea Time be able to delight their audiences successfully? [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Our gang is invited to participate in a live house event on New Year's Eve. It's a bit serious from the usual episode, but they can't help but fumble and make mistakes. Good thing the other bands there encourage them to pick themselves up. It's generally a good episode. Comparing their performance with how they began in Episode 1, one can't help but notice how much progress they have made. Looking back, it's a wonder how they were able to perform well despite not being hardcore at practice. Watch this if you want to watch a nice episode to watch for New Year's Eve.

Just another episode of season 1, it's not really an OVA so I won't treat it as one. I loved this episode, it was fun to see ho-kago tea time progress from a school club to branching out. The comedy is great in this OVA. It is a mixture of the voice acting, situation, and running jokes which make the comedy so great. The characters are so lovable for me personally, some people might disagree. I just like to see them just run around and vibe, it reminds me of the good times that I spend with my friends. All of us just goofing around,making fun of each other, doing stupid shit, and having fun. K-on is nothing out of this world, but it is still special regardless. 7/10

Story 10/10 Art 10/10 Sound 10/10 Character 10/10 Enjoyment 10/10 This is basically just another episode of K-On! You got the same art, story, characters, and yeah everything. So for the story we still got their wholesomeness, clumsiness, and their comedy. Nothing change for art, still that same old artsyle they have in the original anime. The ED and OP song also didn't change, and the BGM too. If you're a superfan of K-On! You should definitely watch this. This episode cover how they spend their Christmas and New Year. However if you somehow skip the original anime and immediately watch this, I reccomend you to not doing that. Because thereis barely any character development here. Thats all i gotta say about this special. Thank you for reading my review.

Story: The OVA is a little bit different from the usual episodes of K-ON, where they just usually hang out in the club room -> drink tea -> do cute things. This episode portrayed how Houkago Tea Time realize that the world of music is vast and there are a lot of bands out there who clearly have a lot of experience compared to them and already set of goal for they're band. Art: The art is similar to season 1 of Anime which is really great. Sound: No new song was introduce in this OVA. Character: There are a lot of minor characters appeared on thisOVA. The character development for each member of Houkago Tea Time was also good. Enjoyment: For a stand alone OVA, i really enjoy this a lot. Overall: if you want to watch this OVA then watch this before starting season 2. There's a high chance that you might forget watching this OVA if you start watching season 2, as season 2 and its OVA was a lot better compared to this OVA(live house, At least for me).

Review in brief: While the idea of the Keion-bu acting like an actual band might make it sound like Live House! takes things in a different direction, it really doesn't. This is simply the 14th episode of K-On! and fits right in with the rest of the 1st season. Review in full: If you've seen season 1 (it's not truly a requirement before watching this by the way) you already know what to expect here. It's not even the first episode of K-On! that separates itself from the school setting; the story of how Yui & Gitah came together and the beach-house episode are largely beyond school affairsas well. Not that there's any real problem with this; K-On! is a series that thrives on its simplicity and all it really needs to make a fun episode is a fun premise to tie it together. While not a whole lot of substantial development in plot or character occurs (as is usual with K-On!) the story of Hōkago Tea Time's first (non-school) live performance does provide at least a little of everything that made the main show enjoyable. The characters bounce off of each other (figuratively and literally) in this unfamiliar setting, the inexperience of the group as a whole leads to a number of amusing situations, there is a noticeable contrast in tone between the familiar warmth of the school building and the cold, almost alien atmosphere of the performance house in audio, visuals, & script, and we do learn a little bit more about Mio & Ritsu. The production values of this OVA are the same as the first season, both for better and for worse. Ample attention is given to the environment & background elements and the animation has both fluid & blobby moments. The voicework is a great combination of dynamic & fitting and the music and sound effects fit the setting. Unfortunately, the music is rather light (no pun intended) in its application, being largely reused from the 1st season with no additional performance piece. It's understandable that KyoAni decided not to give this OVA its own commissioned music track, but that would have gone a long way to make this a real event in the Keion-bu's story rather than just yet another round of CGDCT. Verdict: It's just another episode of K-On!. If you want something cute & fun, you don't need to look any further. Not that this episode does anything to make it stand out even when compared with the rest of the anime, but like K-On! in general it has its moments and its charm.

K-on!: Live House, an extra that I saw together with K-on! This episode shows the band go to perform their first live show at a contest. It's held on New Year's Eve at a club. As this is the first time for the band to perform a live show outside the school premises, so they learn all sorts of new stuff from signing up to stage lightings. Add to that, Yui's carefree attitude and you've got a laughable situation. They meet up with some old friends on Ritsu and Mio and perform at the live show. They do run into some problems here and there but in the end,everything turns out for the best like in the series. A good, warm Extra to an amazing series.

The entire point of this OVA is getting the "Hokago Tea Time" members performing their very first Public gig. They were invited by Maki, one of the drummers in the band called, "Love Crisis" and is also friends with Ritsu and Mio. Story: 8/10 Already mentioned It above that basically the entire OVA is getting the girls to perform their first public concert to celebrate the New Year's Eve. Art: 10/10 Still the same across all the K-ON Episodes. Sound: 10/10 Something you can already hear from previous Season 1 Episodes. Nothing too important.Character: 10/10 Its really great to see them working their way to become Pro players. I guess having their first public gig will motivate them even more to reach their goal to go "Budakon" as what Yui says (also mentioned at some point in Season 2). Enjoyment: 8/10 To be honest, they should have played all 4 songs instead of 1. Probably Its because of time constraints, but in my opinion, It wouldn't hurt to make one more OVA to continue off from this. Basically, a Part II for their Live House! concert. Overall: 8/10 Still a great OVA, nonetheless. Like I said about more music, I would have liked It to see them Perform all 4 songs. They should have just made this particular OVA a introduction to the Live House! event as well as preparing for the actual concert. Then they should have released a Part II of the OVA to continue off from last Episode where they play all the songs.

You have to have had been living under a rock for the past 2 years to not know what K-on! is. This show became a phenomenon right after it aired, bringing with it a brand new wave of fans and fandoms. This show is a mega hit in Japan so how well does it hold up with this 'OVA'? When Ritsu’s friends from Junior High invite the Keion-bu girls to perform with them at a concert house, it’s time for After School Teatime to get rehearsing. With only ten days to go until the gig on New Year’s Eve and nothing prepared, the band must decideon their playlist, costumes and even their lighting. While everyone is excited about their first public concert, will the five girls be able to overcome their nerves and insecurities to make their big debut as incredible as they all hope? For a show that consists mostly of girls hanging out and drinking tea at a table, Kyoto Animation really puts a fair bit of effort into it. Watching the show on Blu Ray really helped exemplify this even more. The scenes in which the characters practice with their instruments or play Live on Stage really comes to life. K-on! has some of the most catchy tunes in recent anime, the studio really went all out with the Opening and Ending themes and all of the insert songs that the band plays. The real charm of K-on! is in its characters and how they interact with each other. Each character has certain defining features and reactions that make them unique and stand out. They also play off of each other very well almost always resulting in silly and comical situations. The characters have very cute and innocent character designs and the lack of any sort of fanservice in the entirety of the show helps a lot. This episode is sometimes referred to as an OVA, because it didn't air along with the rest of the series during its original broadcast and was first seen on the DVD/Blu-Ray release. It is however a normal episode for all intents and purposes, and aired as part of the series in some markets. A thoroughly enjoyable episode from start to finish, with the girls performing outside of school – an exciting first for the series. While episode 12 was the official season finale, and a great one at that, ending the first season with the five HTT girls starting a new year together feels fitting, knowing there’s more to come. Having an extra episode was nice, more K-On! is always welcomed.

K-ON Live House It's good to have an OVA by our favorite band named After school Teatime. In this OVA we're going to see them play in a little gig, but they have fun drinking tea and eat a lot of sweets. Story The story resolves around the K-ON members. A friend of Ritsu is asking a manager if After school Teatime can have a gig, the gig is on new years eve. Art:The colors in K-ON is amazing it's just not kawaii, but brilliant. The character looks good as well. The nature and everything is very good animated. Sound: It's the same songs like in the series, so nothing important to write here. Character: Imo when the other bands are talking about their music dreams, they change they will go further than Budakon, I'm sure they thinking we will be pro! Enjoyment: I didn't liked it so much I liked the series much more, but it's better then anything tho : ) Overall: K-ON! Live House is nothing big, it's ok to watch, but since it only one episode that's sucks... Season 2 here we come :}
