Decent action show hindered by an overabundance of camera cuts, sudden plot developments & a lack of proper continuity between different scenes. This is a magic/cultivation setting within the modern world. Deities grant some humans powers, and in exchange they wish for these humans to do something for them. Our main character met one such deity as a young child so he's cool like that. Some other people can seemingly use "Taboo" powers, but I'm not sure how those were gained. Maybe I missed that plot detail. Character & environmental models are high quality. I also think the soundtrack overall is decent. Just sucks that it essentiallyfeels like the whole show was directed by a former Cocomelon employee.

Final Fantasy x Blood Blockade Battlefront I wasn't really expecting anything when i clicked the first episode, but the thumbnail seemed interesting so i watched it. This is my first 3D donghua, I've watched a couple of 2D donghua back in the day and they were all okay, but this one? Man, i was blown away by the first 3 episodes of this series. The animation is so unnecessarily great, they didn't have to go super hard on this one. Every shot is filled with passion, it's very meticulously planned the way they directed the scenes, man i could comment all day about the cinematography of thisseries, but bottom line the animation is so good. The story is like your typical shounen, zero-to-hero mc, super fast-paced and etc., i didn't mind the story going so fast in the beginning, but once they've fully introduced the mc and the other things in this series, they've started slowing down and taking their time building things up. I wouldn't say the story is top-tier, but it's good. The characters are all slick, they're all chinese coded, and it doesn't look like anime-ish characters. Loved the mc, i think he's a great character. I also loved General Zhao, i didn't expect they'd managed to make me invested in a side character in a short amount of time and make me cry. That female character who used spear with fire element, she's so badass and so haaawwwwttt as well. I could go on, but yeah i like every character here so far. There's only one season, so they haven't had the time to build up every character yet fully, but i liked what i got so far. Music is good when it needs to be, but there are times where the music choices feel off, but never mind that since it doesn't really deteriorate me from my watching experience. Overall, great series. Should give it a try, if you want a break from anime.

one of the best Chinese anime I've ever watched. While the story may not be entirely unique, it still manages to deliver an engaging narrative that fits well within the genre. For fans of action and fantasy setups, the plot is enjoyable, even if some elements feel familiar or predictable. The art style and animation are the standout features of this series. The "god-like" animation brings the battles to life with stunning visuals, making every fight scene feel epic and intense. The detailed character designs and vibrant backgrounds add depth to the world, perfectly complementing the grandiose theme of gods and mythical beings. In terms of characters, they are well-rounded for the most part. Each has their own strengths and flaws, which make them relatable and believable. While some characters might feel overly powerful or idealized, their reactions to situations are grounded enough to keep the story immersive. If you're someone who enjoys beautifully animated fight scenes and well-executed action, this series is a must-watch. Even if the plot doesn't break new ground, the visual spectacle and intense moments are more than enough to keep viewers entertained. Fans of the genre will likely appreciate it, while newcomers might find it a good introduction to the world of Chinese anime.
