Goddess Festival—A fruit festival that brings the labyrinth city of Orario to life. Goddesses symbolizing fertility are enshrined on the altar, and among them is the Goddess of Beauty. Bell Cranel, who has survived and returned to his daily life from the dead depths of the dungeon, is here and ready to enjoy the bustle of the Goddess Festival until he receives a letter from a girl at a small bar in a corner of Orario—"To Mr. Bell, please go on a date with just the two of us at the upcoming Goddess Festival. From Syr." Syr's single-minded determination will drive both Bell and the labyrinth city crazy. Meanwhile, the Einherjar, the warriors who claim to be the "strongest," are now suddenly on the move... Gonna keep this short and sweet. Bring back longer seasons for anime. It fleshes out the characters, the story, and the circumstances the characters go through. This season was fine, I gave a 7 cause it's my definition of "fine". I don't go by MAL's definition. As I type this I'm starting to think maybe a 7 IS too generous of a score. But no, I'll keep it a 7 for Freya and the GOAT GALE WIND ELF OF ALL TIME It all started in Season 4.. when the MC was being too much of a goody two shoes and stopped the GOAT Gale Wind (THE ELF OF ALL TIME)from killing the guy, which resulted in her having to RELIVE her past trauma. All because of his stupidly elevated sense of "morality" and "goodness" and "being the hero". It's just not believable anymore. At least for me. I basically compare him to the Spear Hero in Rising of the Shield Hero. Insufferable. But my reasons. I like the premise of this whole thing. The gods and goddesses and the familias and the dungeon. However I think I kinda hate the main character at this point. He needs to get his head out of his a$$ if there's any goal at all of being relatable to the audience. Granted, I don't read the novel/manga so maybe it's too late for me to hope for that. But like I said, I'll keep it a 7 for Freya and THE GOAT GALE WIND ELF OF ALL TIME CAUSE THEY DESERVE BETTER THAN THIS MCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC

Well.... This season happend. Don't get me wrong, the story was real good, and i enjoyed it fully . I weeped like a maiden after all. But it's so far detached from the usual stuff you got from this series that it felt like a full blown spin-off series . Again, that doesn't automatically make it bad . It's just something different, like a new flavour to your favourite dish . On the actual review.... The drop in animation and the fluctuation of quality was painfully obvious, especially compared to the last season, where the quality peaked. This season was also one that featured absolutely 0 dungeon crawling.Reason of my remark earlier there. As for the main focus of this season.... Well, i started really off simply hating the guts out of Freya. Obviously why.But i can't fully hate her in the end. Although it's basically her fault for all that , since she decided to pull out that whole soul move on her own. A really dumb move. But i guess after a few milennia any god looks for new ways to ... feel something . Such is the curse of immortal life. A lot of good characters propping up in every season , this time around the highlight's on Hedin . Although outside the outfit change i wouldn't really go with any of his dating advice, especially in this particular case. But after you find out his real reasoning what he taught Bell makes perfect sense. And again really no mercy with the instant disbanding of her Familia and making her go homeless all in one go. I mean, she really earned at least that much punishment. Now the waiting begins.... Will it make a return to strength? I really hope so, since it was a worthwile journey up until this point.

This series never disappoints. With the fifth season of Danmachi, Bell is stronger than ever, but he doesn’t level up to Level 5, not because he can’t, but because Hestia realizes his rapid growth is drawing too much attention. However the main focus this season is the complex relationship between Bell, Syr, and the goddess Freya, leading to some major developments in Bell’s journey. Without giving too much away, this season sees Bell learning how to be a proper gentleman for the ladies, joining another Familia, and even participating in a War Game involving multiple Familias. There’s a lot to unpack, but let’s just say that Danmachifans were definitely eating well this season. Fight scenes were amazing and well animated, even after the delay, and the story is as good as ever. The music is solid. Like previous seasons, nothing particularly groundbreaking, but the soundtrack fits the series well. It’s the kind of music that might not stand out immediately but could bring back nostalgic memories in the future. Overall: A great season in an already great series. I love it. If Danmachi ever fully wraps up, I’d definitely rewatch the entire thing.

I don't usually write reviews for anime, but I felt compelled to share my thoughts on Danmachi Season 5. This season is nearly perfect, with everything aligning beautifully with the story and its twists. The complex relationship between Horn and Freya, along with Freya's multifaceted personality and the impact of her godhood on her mental health, is captivating. The story buildup in Season 5 felt refreshing, as it focused on Freya, a character we hadn't explored deeply until now. I appreciated how Bell's strong self-belief shone through, and how each character had their moment to contribute. Ryu and Master Heidin stood out as characters, adding depth tothe story and keeping us on the edge of our seats. From the animation to the story buildup and the fight scenes, everything is seamless. I highly recommend everyone watch Danmachi and not overlook this anime. I give it an 8.5/10.

Overall, I do reccomend this season of Danmachi. Coming off the back of season IV (the best Danmachi has been, in my opinion) is tough to follow up, and initially I thought they were doing a great job. This season is still worth a watch, but you may also leave the work feeling dissatisfied. If you're like me, Danmachi is at it's best when it's DARK. Season V follows up on the tone-shift presented by the previous season pretty well and it makes for a magnificent section of build-up to the story's climax. The first 10 episodes of the season, in this regard, are fantastic. Bringing the story'stone down to a low point makes for thrilling juxtaposition to that climax and emboldens the investment from the audience. Unfortunately, the story's climax failed to deliver on that build-up. The section does have some interesting twists and turns which make it worth watching, but ultimately Danmachi's resolution to the conflict felt as if it was retreading old ground and in turn made the arcs of the characters involved, which were some of the best in the series to that point, severely less compelling than they were before. This is also the season's "action" section - perhaps with more time and a bigger budget, the focus on action and spectacle could be supplemental to the story taking a backseat, though Danmachi fails to be visually interesting with its action (most of the time) and the strategies involved aren't particularly engaging either. The revelations we have about the characters from these battles do tend to be interesting though. (Unfortunately just not in the big climactic boss battle). Despite its lackluster ending segment, Danmachi Season V is still a stand-out season of the show and I'm confident that fans of the series, even those with a love-hate relationship with it like I do will find elements to enjoy. The world-building remains strong as ever, and even though it fizzles out by the end, the journey is still worth experiencing. I hope this review helped you develop your opinion on Danmachi even if you don't agree with me at all, or brought catharsis to anyone feeling similarly. Thanks for reading, have a nice day!

This has been the worst season of DanMachi by far. Despite decent action choreography being essentially nonexistent in the show, the fights typically have very engaging emotional beats, keeping you invested in the progress and outcome of the conflict. The emotional beats during the action this season were so vapid that I could get more intellectual stimulation from drinking a glass of water. This is likely a symptom of this season's flaccid plot, which the sensual ED of Freya could be a poor attempt at counteracting. Nothing else in particular stood out as much worse or better than previous seasons. The animation and sound design couldpossibly be of lower quality, but it's difficult to tell without a trained eye or ear. Soundtrack, voice acting, etc. to the layman seem on par with previous seasons.

I write this as someone who enjoyed the previous seasons, especially the 4th one. However, this one made me reconsider if I will keep on following this show. Before anything, I must say that animation and soundtrack were good; not the best, but good. Yet, the story managed to eclipse both in my opinion - in a bad sense. Therefore that's where I will focus on. TL;DR: The execution of the story is bad, it doesn't feel clear why the characters do what they do. It is confusing and a downgrade from the previous seasons. I read a few of the critiques here and I do agreewith the harsher ones on a few points. However, I diverge in terms of the lack of dungeon. Sure, the anime revolves around the dungeon and, as the seasons went by, Bell got his own personal reasons to go through with the dungeon exploration. Still, the dungeon is but a part of this world and perhaps the most important developments come from above, where the gods and their familias are. One must not forget that in the Ishtar familia arc it all happened on the surface; and the same goes for the whole situation with the Apollo familia. With this out of the way, now I will vent my problems with this season. The most jarring one is that, as much as the idea behind it may be interesting, the form in which it was accomplished is very dubious. One thing I have to commend is how the author managed to have Bell not overpower everyone he comes across; and this was done for 5 entire seasons! This is the only good piece of writing that I can unequivocally vouch for. However, what bothers me the most is how no one seems to be on the same page, yet all act on the same canvas. The result: a lot of disjointed parts fit into one narrative. I have read Hegel, Kant, and tried my hand - with some success - at linear algebra and calculus. Despite all of it, I still find at best confusing the Syr/Freya situation. Why did Freya fall in love so brazenly? Why make a huge deal out of this difference between both if they are the same person? This and a few other doubts popped into my mind as I went along with the story. I can understand the fascination Hermes has for Bell; it is shown clearly, especially when he talks about the 3 great quests - it was already clear, but now it is fully explained. Freya was either too rushed or poorly written, i.e., as I mentioned earlier, a failure of execution. Another point in the story that bothered me is the betrayal at the war games. Sure, I understand why they acted as they did, but it is all thrown in the story "in the nick of time"; that is, it feels just like a deus ex machina. "I love my goddess and I have been a comrade in arms for years with the rest of the familia. But now I think this boy, whose maturity is questionable and whom I barely know, can save her even though he is the reason our goddess has turned away from us. Now that everyone on the other side of the battlefield is spent due to my strategy, I will fire lightning bolts at my own men - which are loyal to me and which I have known and fought alongside - to turn the tide". Amazing writing! I seriously am disappointed in this seeing how much better season 4's writing was. If anyone wants to object by bringing up the novels or spin-offs, this is still bad writing. A story has to be self contained. Take for example Lord of the Rings. The trilogy is chronologically a sequel to The Hobbit, but this trilogy only came later as movies; yet everyone could understand what went on. Middle Earth's worldbuilding is so extensive and so complete that it feels exactly as a history handbook or manual is: events from the present draw on a multiplicity of factors from the past and, in turn, influence what comes much later in other books. However, one can simply watch The Lord of the Rings without having read The Silmarilion and still have a good time because nothing is lacking.

I was a little disappointed with this season, truthfully. That being said, I could see the potential of it all. ANIMATION: The animation quality was a bit of a mixed bag. Some fight scenes were very impressive, particularly those that followed the characters from behind. This perspective added a sense of fluidity, with exciting twists and turns that kept the action engaging. However, other fight sequences were much less polished. For example, there were moments where a character would swing their arm, and a punch sound effect would play, only for the enemy to be flung across the screen in the next frame — without any noticeableanimation or impact of that hit. Worse still, there were instances where there was no follow-through after a blow, and the characters would just reappear in the middle of the fight in the next frame. This inconsistency was puzzling, as the animation seemed to flip between well-done and lackluster throughout the season. I suspect that the scale of this arc, with its many characters, fights, and storylines, may have simply been too much for the studio to handle effectively. STORY: For me, the story was definitely the weakest aspect of season 5. The pacing felt erratic and disjointed. There were too many instances where we’d be teased with the beginning of a fight scene, only for it to quickly jump to another group, then return later to find a pile of bodies or characters already out of the fight. The beginning of the season had its charm, with some cute and humorous moments, but as the story progressed, it started to drag. By the time we neared the end, it felt like everything was happening at once, as if they were trying to cram in a grand finale. However, it ended up feeling rushed and unsatisfying. I was left with more questions than answers, and while you could argue that sets up excitement for the next season, I never felt that this arc truly needed to be part of the main storyline and probably could have done without. CHARACTERS: Many of the characters from previous seasons didn’t seem to have the same depth or presence they did in earlier arcs. That being said, the season did a good job introducing some new characters, with one in particular standing out. However, as the season went on, some of the emotional developments of these new characters felt forced. At times, characters would show a strong sense of devotion or will, only for a sudden shift in their actions or motivations later on, which felt disconnected from their earlier arcs. Similarly, there were moments where characters seemed to be struggling with inner conflict or pain, only for it to be resolved quickly or off-screen, leaving little room for emotional growth. While I understand that there may be reasons behind these shifts, they often felt abrupt and underdeveloped. This happened with A LOT of the characters. As for the older, familiar characters, most of them had very little relevance to the story, with the exception of one towards the very end and a couple of scenes with a handful of other characters, but those characters are only shown briefly and didn't have much impact. MUSIC: As always, the music in Danmachi was solid, especially the iconic main theme that plays whenever Bell or the characters engage in an epic fight. However, I can't recall any new tracks from this season that particularly stood out or left a lasting impression. That said, the familiar OST from previous seasons continued to do its job, providing a reliable backdrop for the action. FINAL THOUGHTS: (6/10) Overall, Danmachi Season 5 had its moments, but it fell short of expectations. The animation was inconsistent, the story felt rushed and disjointed, and many characters didn’t get the development they deserved. While there were some interesting new elements and potential for future arcs, this season didn’t quite live up to the charm of its predecessors. It’s an okay season, but it leaves more to be desired.

Finally one of the BIG plot points concluded! What an incredible season, an emotional rollercoaster from beginning to end. This season unveils Syr's true identity and her deep connection to the Freya Familia, delivers major character developments, and gives us a long-awaited moment of Ryuu finally confronting her feelings for Bell. And if that wasn’t enough, Syr asks Bell out on a DATE?! So Freya finally reveals her true intentions and makes a move on obtaining Bell for herself by using the whole of Orario as part of her evil scheme in this "Goddess of Fertility" festival. Meanwhile "Syr" asks out Bell on a date on theupcoming festival but he is surprised that the captain himself of the Freya familia trains him for his upcoming date?? what relations does Syr have with the freya familia? and why? Best girl Ryuu (imo) finally acknowledges her feelings for Bell, however she is conflicted whether or not she must accept or reject them since her dear friend Syr has fallen in love with Bell since the very beginning and plans to ask him on a date. She knows whatever route she takes she is afraid she will hurt their relationship. Bell´s resolve is tested to the limit as he proves how far he is willing to go to achieve his dreams and protects those he holds dear, even if faced agains´t the world fooled by a god and a King is standing in his way. Will he be able to free a god from the shackles of goddesshood and protect his dear friend´s smile or will he succumb to a false reality? The visuals and music have been spot on this season, specially towards the second half of the season in the war game between the Hestia familia and allied forces agains´t the Freya familia. The Hestia familia lays all the cards on the table to help Bell and Syr in their time of need, which a certain god makes their appearance after long inactive time in Orario to give a helping hand. The whole final battle gave me chills you can really tell J.C STAFF put their all into making the final battle as flashy, smooth and intense as possible and it really paid of. Overall, this has been an amazing season full of sad and happy moments. If I had to say one negative thing about this season is the delays of production. I get they had like 6 other anime airing simultaniously but J.C STAFF really need to prioritise and say enough is enough of a workload. I can´t imagine what the animators had to go through while animating this season. Hopefully it doesn´t happen again in S6 but until then I cannot wait to see what season 6 will bring us! How I rank (This is just my opinion): (Inspired by Huang-Teizan) 10 - Bendicion de Dios 9 - Now, this is Peak!! 8 - Bingeworthy! 7 - Good 6 - Enjoyable 5 - Either Echii or just enough to get by 4 - I´m just here to know how it ends. 3 - Don´t bother 2 - "Are you related to Rent a Girlfriend?" 1 - My head doesn´t explode because it can´t. 0 - "Even a Hentai has a better story than you!"

Meh... just meh... if they continue like this I'll most probably drop the show. It's an entire season wasted on some unfulfilled romance between some of the characters and the protagonist. It maybe got a little interesting at some point, but the thing should have ended in like 3-4 episodes and not have an entire season about it... Close to the finale they are basically fighting to the death for no real reason... Everything could have been settle just by saying "No" and directly talking to those involved. There is basically 0 story progression and nothing about the dungeon. Animation quality is good and there are a lotof nice fighting scenes, but since the reason they fight is pointless, they become less enjoyable.

This seasons story was trash. I love this show, but wtf I only kept watching out of sheer willpower. From seasons 1-4 I have very little to complain about. Season 5 was a giant loser romcom with great fighting scenes. Its like if you watched a cringe garbage middle school romance but everyone is an adult. The insane disconnect and gear shift from s4 to s5 was some serious whiplash. There was 0 plot progress. You could probably skip this season and not even skip a beat. If this is how it was written in the source material fml go get a fresh pair ofeyes and a new brain to look at what ur doing cause the writing was trash.

Dungeon? Who care? I'm the one of that didn't much care about the progress. Romcom is something good vide for the whole series and its push me to watch waifu. who care the progress of story, this guy growth much in less time and the destination last boss is something else. he gets stronger every season; he made a team up relationship for the last fight so all the vide and speed is something difference when compared to the other anime story like this. For getting strong and op in 1-2 seasons in kind boring thing for 2025 anime you know? xD
Anime-Isekai-God
All right guys, this is the last episode of Season V of Danmachi. What can I say about this? The pacing was magnificent, nothing felt rushed at all from start to finish. The story for this one sure was different since it didn't involve the dungeon, but that's also very good since we get to have a break, a well-needed break. The characters and lore behind Freya family was crazying freaking awesome for most certain espseclly their training method which is just a total blood bath just to get revive and repeat this from sunset to sundown. Something straight out of Spartan training to befr. Lastly, the climax to his season was soooo perfect that I don't think there's a better way to end this season but hell. My boy Bell sure looked awesome against the King and saving the princess. I cannot wait for the next season. Overall, this might just be one of if not the best season of Danmachi, but just like the previous seasons this too is a 10/10.
TheAsterNaut
Is it Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? It's hard to say when there's no dungeon for the entire season. Instead Bell is getting picked up by girls at the bar, and struggling to put them down gently. If you happened to watch Season 2 of the show, this is just more of the same, sadly. No real story progression, just petty squabbles over the Rabbit. I don't really know what to say much more than that, because that's all it really breaks down too. The setting really feels wasted over this trivial harem romance plot that's half-baked into a fantasy action dungeon-delvingseries. To quote my last review: 'I really hope season 1 and 3 aren't the only good seasons of this show', and it sadly looks like I was right. This entire season could probably be skipped and the overarching would be just fine if not better for it; 4/10

Despite production delays, Danmachi season 5 was easily the best season of the anime for me. The first half might not have had the action that season 4’s juggernaut arc did, but the character drama and tension led up to one of the best second halves of anime you’ll see. This was JC Staff at their best and gives me a lot of hope for the future of the franchise. Syr and Freya’s arc in this season was so fun to watch. We’ve seen Bell battle some very tough foes over these last 5 seasons, but Danmachi season 5 focuses on character relationships and Bell’s internalstruggles. For years now we have watched this white rabbit win over the hearts of many girls and now it’s time for him to finally face the music and confront the situation he’s created. While aspects of the arc made me uncomfortable due to the nature of Freya’s plan to break Bell mentally, I did enjoy seeing him have to claw his way out of the most difficult mental and emotional space he’s ever been in. It builds nicely on the relationship he and Ryuu developed in season 4 and feels like a perfect way to cap off that part of the story. Further to that, this season is the best because of how it focuses on other characters. Danmachi has always had a really great cast of side characters, but in some arcs they have been sidelined to allow Bell to flex his proverbial muscle. In this arc he literally can’t get it done alone. Whereas it’s been Bell coming to save everyone else in the past, now people have to come save him from a mental prison. Even with him not being the main focus of several episodes, the show remains very interesting and some supporting characters who desperately needed fleshing out end up being very developed by the end of the season. Of particular note are Ryu, Anya and the Freya Familia. Contrary to popular opinion, I did NOT like the abusive way Freya behaves in this season. Her methods to win over Bell are so uncomfortable to watch and border on sexual assault. That’s not a knock on the writing, I think that it’s very logically consistent with her personality and some mental issues she very clearly has. BUT it is hard to see play out. Your mileage may vary on that, many will see these episodes and go “Oh, I wish that was me” and be mad at Bell for the way he handles things. Personally, I’m really proud of how he dealt with his toughest emotional battle yet. Even in episodes where there was no physical action, there was an emotional struggle. Every episode was so fun this season and went by in the blink of an eye, especially once the show came back from hiatus. Speaking of which, we have to discuss the elephant in the room which is Danmachi’s production delays. The show’s last 4 episodes ended up being delayed several months and honestly I think it was a good move. I personally didn’t see any issues with the quality prior to the delay, BUT JC Staff were somehow doing TEN, yes you read that right, TEN shows in one season. So it’s understandable something had to get delayed. When it came back it looked great. Episodes 12 and 13 are probably the best the show has ever looked. Episode 14 was solid, but a step back. The finale, episode 15, looked incredible. Animation was fluid and very well choreographed while the emotional storytelling was top notch. Zero complaints. Sucked to have to wait, but it paid off. At this point, If you’ve seen four seasons of Danmachi and are even considering watching this, it’s a no brainer to watch. If you’re somehow reading this and haven’t seen the first few seasons, get on it ASAP because this series has 5 seasons for a reason. It’s one of the best written fantasy light novels and despite the rough animation at times during the first couple of seasons, it has really got going here lately and looks amazing. Great story, great characters and an underdog hero story for the ages. Danmachi V gets 10 out of 10.

I knew this season was coming from what I could gather from the source material. It’s the middle part of this season that drags it down because this season is all about the fanaticism of the Freya Familia and how Orario suffers because of Freya’s selfish whims. Yoshitsugu Matsuoka knows how to put in a great performance even if at one point in the season I nearly turned against Bell. I’m not really a fan of memory manipulation stories because they can be picked apart by thinking logically for ten seconds. But this season does have some good action sequences and it is encouraging tosee how well it managed itself despite a weak storyline. Season 6 doesn’t seem likely until after the Light Novels end so hopefully we get some kind of content to tide us over.

A lack of Freya-sama in the past three seasons has been answered with a Freya focused arc. What more a Freya enthusiast could ask for! Is what you would think until the author makes his mission to prove that Freya has always been behind our backs! Or… Bell’s back to be precise. Quit self-inserting, me! Before starting Danmachi’s second season, I had the honor of reading Freya’s manga. So I have always been hyped for Freya and her familia. Even those little crumbs the author threw for us here and there always had me on the edge of my seat or… my bed. Whatever youwatch anime on. I’m aware that many people have had not the opportunity to go through her manga before this season. And worry not! You will still enjoy it even without it. Although it may lack the spice, we Freya readers felt~ **Disclaimer: From here onwards, the word Freya enthusiast is banned as it may make some people run away :’( and I can’t let such a disgrace happen due to my own actions. So if you’re even slightly interested in Freya, you gotta read it! (Please let me add Freya enthusiast one last time here!) No. Now coming back to this season, we are taking a break from dungeon exploration and are going back to Familia matters! *Boooo * Please- *Booo* stop- *booo intensifies* SUMIMASEN!! *crowd calms down* Uh yes, it may be a pity as the fourth season’s dungeon experience was sensational! But on the bright side, we get to witness the similar good quality! So for some of us (I’m adding everyone in the us group! There’s no you group here.) may have wanted more dungeon experience or at least partial dungeon experience. And considering the dungeon experience we had last season, it’s understandable. But I assure you this season is equally, if not more, enjoyable! Seriously, I’m glad we are still getting more seasons of Danmachi! The first few episodes of the season are hilarious! Our familia gets to take a break after their return from the strenuous and deathly dungeon expedition. Our boy Bell, however, goes through some extensive training upon his return. Seeing Bell in such a new light was so refreshing! How ereganto! I hope he retains these rare skills. Then all at once, a huge twist is unleashed at us! You know it's an amazing twist when you never see it coming! And I, stating the obvious, never saw it coming! It left me so confused! To the extent, I questioned my precious memories! This may not be a dungeon focused season, but we do get to witness a lot of action! It was breathtaking. No no, not Demon slayer level- BUT breathtaking in its own unique way! I loved it! Secondly, I loved how they focused on the mental toll this took on Bell. And how he still remained true to himself. There are many times in life where it’s easy to accept what’s in front of you and disregard your own belief. And it’s very tough to believe in yourself when the whole world seems to differ. Staying true to oneself is extremely tough. Although it may look easy. And bluffing yourself just so you can have mental peace is very tempting. And I loved how they focused on this aspect! This took us back to Bell Cranel, the Fool moment. Although, the events for this and that are different. But I got a similar feeling. And it made me realize why I like Bell all over again. Now going forward with the characters, I never expected such a detailed focus on Freya familia characters. Period. It was really eye-catching. I have always been interested in Ottarl. He made his debut in season 1, and he is one of the main reasons behind Bell’s development. His screen time always induced hype and got the series to exceed my expectations. Which is very evident from the two phenomenal fights we got in the past seasons. Without him, it simply wouldn’t be possible. Secondly, Mr. Hedin- Speak up clearly! *whack* MR. HEDIN- Now you’re too loud! *GYAAAA* ...Master Hedin- That was perfect! *still gets smacked* YES! Master Hedin stood out the most to me within the Freya Familia. I really liked him! And how his loyalty isn’t just following things blindly. We got to see new dynamics concerning Bell. It was a new progress and definitely worth it! And thanks to new characters' focus, we got to explore several new character dynamics. I have always really liked Danmachi’s characters. And not seeing any awkwardness in widening these dynamics makes this worth exploring. Now shifting the focus aside from my familia, Hermes continues to impress me as each season progresses. I won’t say more as you need to experience it yourself. Now coming to our main cast, Ais Wallenstein (you thought it was Hestia Familia). She isn’t the main focus of the season. However, the little screen time we do get is one of the best interactions between the duo so far. I was so nervous that it might break Bell but it was phenomenal. She exceeded my expectations once again. I have never been more glad that… you are the person I admire! (Bell’s words, not mine). I feel like Hestia’s been reduced to a more funny character for a long time now. Yes, we have received her shiny moments before but this one takes the cake! This, by far, has been her best moment in the series. And we get more progress on Ryu. Since the 4th season, I have come to like her more. So it’s delightful to see her progress. Lastly, Syr; who do I add in my favorites? I’m confused. Please help! Now concerning animation and sound. This season retained high quality animation just like the fourth season. Aside from us watching while it’s airing, you– the other us group won’t notice the delay in schedule. Long run, it’s a win-win for all of us. And I’m happy they chose to retain quality. As for sound, only voice acting and osts come to mind. Voice acting is always so entertaining! It’s the lifeline of anime. The way I said it sounds so low-effort. But I mean it hahaha. Lastly, the ost! I really, really love Danmachi osts! This series has seriously provided one of the best osts in all of anime. My favorites are Heroic Desire, Hero’s Return, Asterius, A Painful Decision, Smoke Signal of the Counterattack, The Gears of Fate, Bell’s Kindness, and Escape. *crowd noises* What? I forgot one ost, you say? *Ahem* Lastly, Shoukei no Saki ni Miseuru Mono is also one of my favorites. Really now you thought I’d forget it? I’m listening to it while writing this part~ Reading this far, if you haven’t noticed my Freya enthusia- haughh *chokes* haughhh hahh. *clears throat* And we were getting to the best part! Way to ruin it! A-Anyways, if you still haven’t noticed it, I really enjoyed this season. And for some of us that feel disappointed due to the lack of dungeon content, I assure you Danmachi hasn’t forgotten about it. Considering the twist we got, everything seems in place in a streamline motion. If you have come this far, I’d really like to thank you for taking the time to read this review. I really appreciate it. And I hope you liked- no, enjoyed reading this review. This was somewhat of a low-effort 3 hours review. But I really liked this approach where I just laid down my thoughts. And I liked the outcome of it. I’ll end this review by recommending you to read Freya’s manga. FREYA ENTHUSIA- GYAAAAAA Again, thank you for reading!
