Synopsis
This time's location is set in the sea near the Hachijo-jima island, Tokyo. Engineers from around the world have gathered for the full-scale operation of "Pacific Buoy," an offshore facility to connect security cameras owned by the worldwide police forces. A test of a certain "new technology" based on a face recognition system is underway there. Meanwhile, Conan and the Detective Boys visit Hachijo-jima at Sonoko's invitation and receive a phone call from Subaru Okiya informing them that a Europol employee was murdered in Germany by the Black Organization's Jin. Conan, who is disquieted, sneaks into the facility and finds that a female engineer has been kidnapped by the Black Organization...! Furthermore, a USB drive containing certain information in her possession ends up in the hands of the organization... A black shadow also creeps up on Ai Haibara ... (Source: Crunchyroll, edited)

I was completely blown away by this masterpiece of a movie! It had me on the edge of my seat, making my heart race in every scene. I enjoyed it so much because it had the power to completely change my mood. The characters were incredibly well-written, and the way the movie incorporated flashbacks from previous movies and episodes from the series added a whole new layer of depth to the story. It's rare to come across a film that not only entertains but also leaves a lasting impact, and this movie managed to do just that. I can't stop thinking about it and Ican'twait to watch the release of the next movie

Wow... 26 films... I was really excited to see Detective Conan Anime Film in a theather after like 28 years or something. I used to watch the tv anime on television when i was at junior high. I remember it as amazing, but the film was not that good... I was not sure what was going on in some scenes. lol Yeah, i haven't seen the previous 25 films of Detective Conan, but i don't think that was the reason. It wasn't very believable as well... I mean some aspect of the story, like the new tecnology, face recognition system or whatever its name was...It was too spesific of a threat for Conan Edogawa. I would expect something more compelling from Detective Conan, but afterall i was at junior high when i was watching the show on tv so it may have never been that compelling. lol I still like Detective Conan or the manga named The Case Closed. Conan Edogawa will always be a beloved character from my childhood.

Alright so after two decades hearing there will be a movie about Sherry and Gin.....yeah it made my day and made me get all excited for all kinds of news again. I had a lot of hopes and ideas on how this movie would turn out. Welp.....it surely did not turn out how I had expected. Which should have been logical but it is a little disappointing. I truly had hoped we would get something similar to movie 25. Don't get me wrong, the movie is entertaining and has a lot of nice scenes. And some very weird ones near the end that are probablypurely done for fan service, which I also do not truly understand why that was necessary. Anyways, apart from that it was not a bad movie. Though there were more questions than answers and yeah movies cannot be seen as canon but thee are always some motives and messages that are actually adding to the story. So that is that. Animation wise it did very well, and the background music? top notch once again. Overall the movie is fine. Just very different to what I had hoped it would be. And with that we will probably wait another 20 years until we will have another confrontation between Gin and Sherry.

in my opinion, one of the best movies so far, ever. Within or outside the conan franchise. It's got everything you need. the incorporation of the main plot with BO, FBI, [Interpol?]. Some amazing animations, great explosions, and a bunch of badassery. As well as some of the most emotionally-loaded scenes from throughout the franchise. Very thrilling, i honestly could never tell how things are gonna go on forward, at some points it felt like the whole conan plot was converging around this moment whereas at others it felt like a whole new plot is being opened up. Its hard to really describe just how amazingit is without getting into spoilers. one complaint however, which could be considered a positive depending on taste, is that some of the more "typical detective conan" elements were implemented in a way that didn't really match the style of this movie. For example the sleeping kogoro scene, or generally conan's occasional childlike behaviour, where, unlike previous movies - it simply didn't feel natural here. It kind of just - ruined the moment and pushed the whole tempo back down. I will admit however it was a nice reminder of the reality in which conan lives. highlighting the constant stress and juggling he's maintaining.

Detective Conan Movie 26 definitely did not dissapoint. It was a thrilling experience from start to finish. After 26 movies, you would think there isn't going to be anything special or new, and you would be wrong. The movie was packed with actions and explosions as usual, but it still felt fresh and new with just how well the plot was, it was an appropriate amount of action to say the least But what definitely was top notch was the mystery, yes it wasn't anything crazy but it was unpredictable nonetheless, it was simple to understand once explained, when you watch it again you'll start torealise how many subtle hints there were towards revealing the method/ the culprit. The movie has you on edge the entire time due to how unpredictable it was and you wouldn't know how the story will proceed. The music wasn't anything totally new but it definitely enhances the experience in every separate scene. There is no room for complaint when talking about the animation and graphics, it was just simply smooth and beautiful. Detectvie Conan Movie 26 is a beautiful and well made movie packed with action and mystery on its own, but it is also a perfectly crafted extension towards the main series.

Detective Conan Movies Rewatch Before Watching Movie 26: Movie 26 After a long marathon of previous DC movies, I finally got to watch movie 26 in theaters, and it did not disappoint! The hype was justified. The BO finally returned, and they were threatening throughout the movie. They set the tone from the very beginning of the movie, and that menacing atmosphere was present throughout most of the movie. The usage of the supporting characters was balanced, as all of them had moments to shine. Haibara, the movie's deuteragonist, stood out the most after Conan. Some of the recent DC movies have begun focusing more on characterand relationships, and this movie was no different. Some of the scenes do invoke some emotions, which was aided by the great soundtrack. The animation was great, and the action was fantastic. Conan is back doing his crazy stunts as usual, and there weren't any "meaningless" action scenes. The plot was logical and coherent. The setting, despite being in an ocean again, was utilized quite well. There were also a few social commentaries that may or may not be intentional. Some worked, some didn't work, hence the lower-than-perfect score. Nevertheless, movie 26 was a great action/thriller movie that should attract even non-DC fans. Conan is the Japanese Tom Cruise. 9/10

Movie 26 has been the most critically acclaimed and watched case out of all the Conan movies and... It did not disappoint! Plenty of explosions, gun actions and Ran being a badass as always. The case itself wasn't anything special, but the trick they used was, without spoilers, ABSOLUTELY INSANE. (The next Conan's hint would be... coffee cups!) The fact that the murder took place in the middle of the ocean + no annoying Detective Boys made the experience a lot better as there was more attention put towards the Black organization trying to find Haibara's identity (made it feel like she was the heroine of theshow). Highly recommend watching if you like Vodka or professor Agasa as the movie dives into interesting relationships we haven't seen before. My only major complaint were the physics in some of the scenes - made absolutely no sense but hopefully you're used to it by now... Nothing has changed with the voice acting nor the music, but man did the intro feel awesome to watch! Art feels more modern, but no significant changes. Overall, very decent film and a must watch if you're into any of the other Conan movies!
