Synopsis
Now that brains and brawns have united forces, the next step in Senkuu's plan to unravel the mystery behind the green light that once petrified humanity is to go to the other side of the Earth and investigate its origin. However, to achieve this, Senkuu must first build a ship. With the help of Tsukasa Shishiou's former underlings, the base of the ship is rapidly assembled, but there is one missing piece: a skilled captain. During their search, Senkuu and his crew come across a petrified Ryuusui Nanami—the heir of the biggest maritime conglomerate, known for his vast knowledge of sailboats but unpleasant personality. Despite this, Senkuu takes the risk and revives Ryuusui. Ryuusui, upon realizing there are no ownership rights in this new civilization, is excited at the prospect of claiming everything for himself. But before he agrees to play a crucial part in their upcoming journey and command the vessel through the restless seas, he and Senkuu must find the king of fuels to power the ship—oil. *SNAP* "HA HAAA!" Ah man, Ryuusui is such a shithead and I love him. The man is such a main character that he manifested an entire one hour special dedicated to him, something nobody else has gotten prior or since. He even gets to have my 60th ever review! This man is so cocky, he just bends destiny around himself it seems. There really isn't too much to say, as it's just a longer episode to bridge the gap between seasons. It presents all the goodies we've come to know and love about the Dr. Stone anime. Great character interactions, good mix of serious workand humour, awesome visuals and sound design and a fantastic sense of togetherness and cooperation with the entire cast. Once again, the new characters introduced slot right in like the pieces of an ever growing beautiful puzzle and they have great chemistry with everyone. Except for the fact that we reinvented capitalism, bet Tsukasa is gonna love that one once he's out of the freezer. Being a special, the episode also stands out with having a little bit of extra effort put into it than the usual anime does and you can definitely tell the studio pulled out the special sauce for this. Francois probably made it for them. The visuals in particular are even better and we got some absolutely spectacular moments, especially during the balloon flight. The art direction was impeccable during that too. Dr. Stone was a masterpiece till now and it keeps going that way. So if you've gotten to this part, then it's really more of the same goodness with just a little bit of extra oompf to the mix. So come join us on this journey and let's explore together! The destination is worth it. Trust me, a sailor's instinct is never wrong. HA HAAA!

This episode where Ryusui is introduced is a masterpiece. Design, personality and everything else that revolves around him is just great. Even though to some people he might be kind of a show off, to me it doesn’t feel that way. It seems like he just adds the right amount of comedy to the show that it lacked. Loved how they pirate-ified the original opening (replayed it around 354 times, and then after a few months I replayed it for another 400 times) I love the relationship Ryusui has with Senku, and I knew that pair was going to be amazing. Maybe I’m just fangirling it butRyusui is literally the greatest, there’s no other character in dr stone, he is a masterpiece, got nothing else to say.

Dr. Stone: Ryuusui" is a 50-minute special that takes place after the second season of the popular anime "Dr. Stone." The special starts off with a catchy, upbeat remix of the show's opening theme, "Good morning world," which immediately sets the tone for an action-packed and entertaining episode. The animation in this special is consistent with the high standards set by the main series, with detailed character designs, dynamic action sequences, and beautiful backgrounds. The humor in this special is also on point, providing a good balance of comedy and action that keeps the audience engaged. All in all, "Dr. Stone: Ryuusui" is an excellent special thatbuilds on the main series in all the right ways. It's well-animated, funny, and action-packed, and it delves deeper into the world and the characters of "Dr. Stone." If you're a fan of the series, this special is a must-watch. Even for those who haven't watched the main series yet, this special can stand on its own, and it's a great introduction to the series. I highly recommend "Dr. Stone: Ryuusui" to anyone looking for an exciting and entertaining anime experience.

Watch this after Stone Wars and before New World. This is a fantastic anime that continues the story from Stone Wars. This 55 minute special is charming and fun, and it will make you fall back in love with the series again. The story follows Senku and the gang as they try to solve the petrification by traveling across the world. However, they need a captain to sail the ship that they are building, so they revive Ryuusui, Japan’s most rich and knowledgeable ship captain before the petrification. The story is great and while there’s no real threat, it’s still very enjoyable to watch. The art isfantastic as always, with classic Dr. Stone animation and new clothing seen around halfway through. Ryuusui’s design is charming and adds to the overall experience. The sound quality is perfectly fine with Ryuusui’s voice actor nailing his witty and cunning character. Other voice actors remain the same which is nice, and a remastered version of the first opening was used as the opening. The sound effects are great and lip synchronization wasn’t a problem at all. Characters can make or break a show, and for Dr. Stone, they make it. The vast cast of characters is extremely entertaining to watch as they interact with each other and create memorable moments. The new character, Ryuusui, is really interesting and adds some pretty cool ideas into the world. Overall, this specials is awesome. It has everything you could want in an anime: great story, fantastic art and sound, and well-developed characters. Onto Dr. Stone: New World!!

English. This, in my opinion, seems more like the first episode of season 3, from my point of view they could have done it as their first episode and nothing would have happened, but still, this does not make the experience any less good, it is a great first episode to start with this small beginning, since it will make us want more and yearn for the third season, it is simple but beautiful is how I would put it, not only because the story advances a lot but also gives us a little taste of what it will be third season, they show us severalmini plots which for my taste are quite funny and entertaining, since they can give us concepts which, although they are difficult to understand, they show us in such a way that the viewer feels quite good with what is shown and what is shown. can understand well. It is a good special episode or rather it is a good first episode of the third season.

I'll be honest, season 2 dragged so much and left me unimpressed so I figured this show just wasn't for me. Then I watched this "movie". And watched, and watched, and suddenly the end credits started to roll. The premise is simple and it jumps ahead a few steps regarding how currency works and how it evolved as time passed but whatever the show was fun and the new agent of chaos that got introduced here shows promise. This one is silly fun and doesn't pretend to be anything else, the show got dumbed down a bit compared to how season 1 started but overall it's not bad.

Ryuusui what a man ! Back again with this segment of season 2 and the first taste of season 3 ! To make it short, it's just so close to perfect that it barely can be a 9 or a 10. Ryuusui isn't a masterpiece, but it's not bad either or basic. It's executed perfectly yet I can't call it a ten but at the same time I'd really want to give it a 10. You have everything you loved from the two seasons condensed in 54 minutes, an amazing opening which is an epic cover of "Good morning World !", Ryuusui (he's everything to be honest) andcool pacing. Overall a good watch !

Oh how I've missed these funky little science dudes. What an absolutely hilarious way to start this new arc. I'm not even kidding within the first 5 minutes I had to pause because I was laughing so hard I nearly choked. The humor in this show is so damn good. Also the new introduced character is great. A lot of new dynamics with the other characters, along with his own depth. We don't know a lot but I cannot wait to learn. Along with of course all the other burning questions I have (Someone PLEASE give me Gen's backstory I NEED to know exactly whyhe has such a deep nostalgic love for Cola) Everything is perfectly set up for the next season to hit the ground running. I just know it's going to be phenomenal

if you have watched both 'Dr.Stone' and 'Dr.Stone: Stone Wars' then you shouldn't miss this one out, it'll surely be related with the upcoming season 3 of Dr.Stone. This is something you surely will love. If you felt a bit disappointed with the second season and are being like why should I watch season 3 when it some out? just watch this ova and I guarantee you it will show you why you should. It is a both cliffhanger and a VERY VERY ENTERTAINMENT of an ova. In the last season 'Dr.Stone: Stone Wars' Senku made a plan to unravel the mystery behind the greenbeam which petrified the entire humanity, in order to do that he needs to travel to the other side of the planet and to do that he needs a vehicle, ain't no way a car will help them to travel that many distance, so he decided to travel by sea. In this ova, they are building the ship using the helps of brawns who are under Tsukasa, however they need a captain to ride the ship. Then they unlock a legendary character Ryuusui who spent his childhood learning and researching about ships and has a unwelcoming type of personality, who will come in handy in Senkuu's plan. However to run the ship they would need the main thing to run the ship OIL, so now they are both building the ship and searching for oil. What I think about this ova is simple, two words: PEAK COMEDY, or even better entertainment at its best. I really loved it from the starting to the very end. Also I do hope that we can get to see Tsukasa and gets successfully petrified.

Here comes again the animated adventure of Senku, our beloved Science Boi! Basically it’s a bridge between the 2nd and the 3rd season. This time Senku and the science kingdom need to build a ship to travel and discover the other side of the world to solve the mystery behind that light that turned all of the people into stone. What else should they need besides all the materials and all the workforce to build a ship? Of course a talented Sailorman and the king of fuel, Petroleum, to start the ship. While they making progression they’ll realize that the world is not thesame as 3700 years ago because natural occurrence like eruption of mountain Fuji leads into huge topographical change on Earth. Science kingdom concluded they need to start mapping out the whole area to update their map. It’s not an easy task to do and it will take time doing it by land. BUT apparently doing mapping at Air will make it quicker so they decide to build Hot Air Balloon from Freaking Hemps. With this, they acquired a hot air balloon. Watching this OVA will make your adventurer spirit go wild and excited wishing that you’re the one experiencing all the thrill happening in the scenes. This Ova will also remind you why you like (or maybe hate) the series. And as a side note, this OVA is a canon OVA, meaning, you can’t freaking skip it and watch the next season or else you might ask who the fuck is Ryusui . If you like adventure and “sense of discovery” it’s a must watch 10 billion percent!!! Overall enjoyment was great so I’ll give it an 8/10, didn’t even notice that’s it was an one hour OVA lol
LightScaryRobo
This serves as an interlude special between Stone Wars and New World and feels more like a movie than a normal special - but it feels like people may skip this and go straight to New World from Stone Wars and miss out on important plot points. The art style appears to be cleaner and an improvement upon the previous series, but... a lot of the characters are made to look very similar, so some are a little bit hard to tell apart at certain angles. A wider cast of voice actors for this one and I imagine from here on it will grow exponentially - atthis moment in time, they have a lot of good voice actor choices, but I worry about the budget if this needs to keep up. Senku Ishigami (Sorcerer Gentleman, Sorcerer, Professor Senku, String bean, Dr. Senku) Gen Asagiri (Mentalist, Sneaky Little Rat) Chrome Kohaku (Lioness, Gorilla) Ryusui Nanami Taiju Oki (Big Oaf, Dr. Taiju) Yuzuriha Ogawa

Dr. stone is a masterpiece, trust me on that. And this movie again proved that. This series might not have a lot of action or so-called thrilling scenes, but this one has the one thing that we need the most in our life. S C I E N C E This movie introduces a new character, Ryuusui. In this short movie of 1 hour, we see some new concepts like inventing money and other means of travel unveiled. The art and the music in this movie are the same as in the series. Also, the thrill is also the same. They didn't even waste a bit ofscreentime. The whole duration of the movie was very exciting to watch. WAtching a civilization prosper was never this much exciting. There is nothing much to say about this one actually. Just you know that you will be thrilled. If you love this series, you will definitely love this movie.

As a Dr.Stone fan this little movie, ova, whatever its called it bought back so much excitement that I get out of Dr.Stone. When I read the manga this little episode didn't seem all to great, but seeing it adapted I got to say they really made it well. To put it simply if you like Dr.Stone then of course you gotta watch this. I can also see why they decided to make this small little episode, because season 3 will be going through a really awesome arc. Which would suck if they decided to rush it. By doing this small mini episode it takesout the factor of them rushing through the story in one season and letting it get properly adapted. Overall: If you're a Dr.Stone fan and keeping up with the story don't miss this episode

This special episode of Dr Stone was amazing and full of education, just like its predecessor seasons. A 55 minute special that deals with creating a ship for further exploration of Ishigami Senku. It is important to remember that humanity advances culturally, politically, and societally through a trial of errors, as history has shown. Capitalism began because it created something good in people’s minds, and we see that through three terrible-minded people who enjoy the fruits of other people’s labor to advance science, but are also motivated to reach the answer behind the petrification of humanity. The episode blends both an educational explanation of meteorology with shounen stylebattles. As the storm cloud looms over the protagonists, the cloud turns into a monster. Through the use of excellent CGI, the cloud retains its texture while it transforms into a creature with gaping jaws that is both formidable and frightening. This special serves a great bridge for what's coming next in Season 3 with Senku's answer for the petrification beam. My Rating : 8/10

I always expect Dr. Stone to give us great science tidbits that tie tot he plot and make you feel like you learned something without it getting too expository. What I wasn't expecting was for them to turn their magic towards economics -- and not only that, show a rarely positive depiction of capitalism and market economics in the process! In it we see Ryuusui get reborn in order to pilot a sailboat to the other side of the world, as well as help discover oil that would power the world in the days ahead. He might be money-hungry, but in doing so, he created thisworld's first currency -- the drago, which is backed by the promise of discovering oil that will be bought from him once he acquires the rights to it as part of the deal. See, the currency might have just been him stamping a design on a piece of paper, which makes viewer go "how does that have any value at all?" But the key is that it has value because it's backed by the soon-to-be-discovered oil, which the people of Ishigami Village trust will be discovered because of their collective determination and Senku's genius. And that's what currency is -- a medium of exchange backed by something people find valuable. IRL it was gold, today it's the full faith and credit of the issuing government, but here it's oil -- the king of energies. And this money soon becomes even more valuable as a means of exchange because the pursuit of acquiring it to buy goods drives people to work harder for it. They gain dragos by making hemp thread, selling food to fellow workers, or buying clothes made by Yuzuhira from the leftover hemp that wasn't good enough for the hot-air balloon that would take them to see the oil fields eventually. It does not take an economics major to see just how influential this rudimentary capitalistic setup is at driving not just harder work, but more *valuable* work -- and the scientific and human achievements that were created as a result. We tend to take it for granted in modern society, but we wouldn't have a lot of the luxuries, comforts, and discoveries we have now we're it not for capitalism, free markets, and as importantly, the introduction of money that we all trust as a method of exchange. The science parts are also all fantastic, but it's Dr. Stone, of course they're going to be. And Gen using the power of money to swindle Ryuusui was pretty genius as well. Summarizing the story as a stage play in the beginning because it was for Tsukasa's men to get them to build the great pirate ship for Season 3 was a unique spin on the typical "previously on..." that we expect from a shonen series. All in all, a great hour of television and i'm more than ready for Season 3!

Review: The buildup that season 3 will bring to the table was fantastic and fun, nothing that drags the show, it was nice pacing. Story: 9/10 Art: The art and animation are always consistent and quality, likewise. Ryusui's design was really sick. 9/10 Sound: The va for Ryusui is really good, he did a good job replicating his personality in the manga. The soundtrack is quality as always. 9/10Characters: The thing about Dr.Stone that I wish to see more is the characters' interaction. The new character was really fun to watch and charming to watch. 8/10 Enjoyment: This special got me hyped for the next season especially at the turning climax for the season, it was quite enjoyable. 9/10 Overall: 8.5/10

This is Dr. Stone at its best. I felt a little disappointed by the 2nd season due to the science taking a back seat to mediocre action, but this got the show back on track. The new character, Ryuusui, was really interesting, and he added some pretty cool ideas into the world. The first thing the former multi-millionaire does after being stuck in stone for almost 3000 years is immediately create money and an economy. It's just great lol. The rest of the characters were as entertaining as ever, and the science was just as good as it was in the first season. Just a super funhour of anime, and I can't wait for more. If the 3rd season is anything like this, it's going to be very good. I'm excited.

I mean, what a treat this special was, honestly. If you love Dr. Stone already, of course you're going to love this special, and if you don't like Dr. Stone--well, this is more of the same, so I can't imagine your opinion will change much. I, however, have loved this series for a long time now, so it was nice to get stuck back into this world of Senku's. The most important thing to talk about, I think, is how useful it is to watch this special. In other words, is it necessary to watch this between the second and third seasons? Oddly enough, unlike mostspecials that I've seen, I feel like this one did very well to bridge the gaps between the two seasons. Though the third season hasn't been released yet, I would imagine that it's going to start in a place that would feel very much out of nowhere if not for this special to bring the anime into the new dimension it will occupy in the third season. You get the typical, fun science-y stuff that you're used to throughout this episode, but the world actually does receive some developments alongside the introduction of a new character, as well. This is more of an afterthought on this episode, but since it's been awhile since I've experienced Dr. Stone, I wanted to highlight how incredibly beautiful it is to watch. I've always been a fan of the landscapes and big set pieces in Dr. Stone, but this special really reminded me that everything down to the character designs themselves were done with great care, and that can only improve the experience. Other than that, you're just getting Dr. Stone with this special. It'll do a great job of pumping you up for the next season, and it tells its own story to set up what's to come, but the consistency that Dr. Stone has always had with its tone and character presentation is still there with this special. One of the best things about Dr. Stone, in my opinion, is its ability to go bigger without altering the heart of what the series is. I actually think this special--a special that gives you a new character, new information about this new world, and a new mission for these characters to work toward--is the perfect example of that. I'm more exhilarated to continue this story than I've ever been.
yoman21a
I'll keep this one short and sweet. If you've liked Dr. Stone previously, this is not one you are going to want to miss out on. It provides an important link between seasons while maintaining the same Dr. Stone feel we have come to love. I could go through all the individual scores, but read literally any other Dr. Stone review and it will be the same. I think it's easy to be critical on the fact that it felt like it may have cut some corners at some points, but this is completely original and canon all while keeping an important story arc moving while achieving thestory it set out to tell. Incredible job from the production team. If this special doesn't hype you up for the next season, why are you still watching?

Dr stone Ryuusui is fantastic and a great continuation from stone wars. This 55min cannon special will make you fall back in love with the series again if you haven't already that is. Story: The story can be summed up in two words, charming and fun. Basically Senku and the gang want to solve the petrification, but in order to do that they have to travel across the world. However they also need a captin to sail the ship that they are building, thus Ryuusui is revived (Japan's most rich and knowledge ship captin before the petrification.) Its a great story and while theres no realthreat its still very enjoyable to watch. 8/10 Art: Im going to keep this short and sweet, the art is fantastic as always. Classic dr stone animation and the new clothing seen around half way through and Ryuusui's design is charming. Great all round. 9/10 Sound: Once again sound quality is perfectly fine with Ryuusui's VA nailing his witty and cunning character. Other VA's remain the same which is nice and a remasterd version of the first op was used as the op. No gripes with sound at all near perfection. Also the sound effects are great and lip synchronization wasnt a proublem at all. 8/10 Characters : Characters can make or break a show, as for Dr stone? They make it. Im a sucker for shows with a vast cast of characters as it can be extremely entertaining watching them interact with each other and create memerable moments. And oh boy does dr stone nail it on the head once again with the same loveable characters and the new Tsukasa army. Worth watching simply for the well crafted characters alone. However I wish more characters got some screentime as that was a tad bit dissapointing. 9/10 Enjoyment: This series is a blast, from the very beginning to the war, all of it is fun and enjoyable and thats no exeption in Ryuusui. Funny moments some great character interactions and a new character to spice it up all leads to a great 55 mins and a new piece of dr stone while we wait for season 3 next year. Obviously you wont enoy it uf you haven't watched the main series and I would stongly advise you to watch the first two seasons before this. Better pacing would have been appriciated however thers only so much you can do in 55 mins 9/10 Overall i score Dr stone: Ryuusui a great 9/10
