I finally finished the third and probably final season of this lovely, cute, relaxing and beautiful anime. This season was truly my favorite. It had more humor and impact, and the story, romance and cute's love affair between the two main characters were taken more seriously. And we definitely had even more enjoyable scenes than in the previous seasons! This anime was one of those that you could watch on a hard day and get pleasure and peace of mind from it. There aren't many animes like this that you can watch without anxiety and stress! Anyway, let's move on to the criteria: The opening and endingwere definitely much more likable than the previous season! As I said, the story focused more seriously on the humor and romance genre, and this was very cute and likable to me. I can say that the animation was as good as the previous seasons and even better. I think the characters were much more impressive this season than the previous seasons and you couldn't get tired of any character! Overall, it was a very good, beautiful, and enjoyable anime, and I'm so glad I gave it a chance to watch it! Nice.

The final season of this beloved anime has left me with a heart full of warmth and a smile that won't fade anytime soon. The third season continues to follow the everyday lives of Takagi and Nishikata, and their adorable game of cat and mouse. But what sets this season apart is its focus on character development and relationships. We get to see more of Takagi's vulnerable side, and Nishikata's determination to finally win a game against her is more endearing than ever. The animation is as vibrant as ever, with beautiful scenery and lovable character designs. The voice acting is superb, bringing depth and emotion toeach character. The soundtrack perfectly complements each episode's tone, making every moment feel special. What I love most about this season is how it balances humor and heart. The teasing games between Takagi and Nishikata are still hilarious, but we also get to see moments of genuine connection and growth between the characters. Overall, Teasing Master Takagi-san Season 3 is a wonderful conclusion to this charming anime. If you're a fan of slice-of-life comedies with a touch of romance, do yourself a favor and watch this season. You won't regret it!

Season 3 maintains the good quality of the previous seasons, but what sets this apart is the progression of the relationship between Takagi and Nishikata. Takagi is getting bolder in hinting her feelings to Nishikata in many creative ways. Nishikata is the same as always in most aspects, but he is beginning to realize 'something' about the two of them. Outside of the main duo, there are lots of funny skits coming from the other supporting characters who finally receive their fair share of spotlight. Just like season 2, the entire content feels like 60% Romance and 40% Comedy. In this season, many of the jokeshave a build-up which creates anticipation for the audience until the punchline, the best example would be the Valentine's Day episode where they focus on one subject and expanded the idea throughout the episode until the payoff. One would get the gratification of guessing and waiting for the climax. Most of the punchlines are humorous and memorable, sometimes predictable but far from being substandard. They've rehash familiar jokes from the earlier seasons, but those are now used in different scenarios. There are no bad episodes, but episode 1 felt ordinary and is not in the same league compared to the rest, at least to me. The production of the last 5 episodes looks grandiose and unique, especially the Christmas and White Day episodes. Will you experience something new this season? Yes. Does this season have the best episode of the entire series? Yes. Is it better than the previous seasons? No, because it's almost the same quality. Is this the ending? No.

𝘛𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘛𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘨𝘪-𝘴𝘢𝘯 3 is truly perfection. Beautiful, heartwarming, romantic, nostalgic, adorable, charming, and amusing are some words which describe what I believe to be the heart of the series, and these words make it the impacting emotional experience it ultimately is to me. For me, 𝘛𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘛𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘨𝘪-𝘴𝘢𝘯 will always be my favorite series of all time, with the third season most definitely being a deciding factor. It once again quite noticeably improves on the previous season, which already had struck me as special when I first viewed it as my introduction to the series. Now, with personal emotional connection to the series put onhold, I would like to mention some of the technicalities of this work which contribute to any of these feelings towards it. Purely in terms of visual design, technical flaws are still present, sometimes even more frequent than before, but these are not important in what is the overall impression and experience of this installment of 𝘛𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘨𝘪-𝘴𝘢𝘯. Of course, every anime will have some imperfections in design. And even when the production is rushed and unpolished at times, with some confusing and inconsistent character art style direction, the heights of artwork direction (especially the stunning background art which has seemingly only gotten better) and animation surpass anything which has come before in the series, and are impressively crafted no matter the standards. This is only fitting for this passionately created work, even if it may have been plagued with delays and schedule issues due to COVID or similar. Though any complications may have led much of the character art to lack some of the perceived polish seen in much of the series' previous installments, a good amount of it is still the studio's best from this series. As mentioned previously, 𝘛𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘨𝘪-𝘴𝘢𝘯's background art, of course, is an exception to any previously mentioned shortcomings. The landscapes and settings provide beautifully colored, detailed, and carefully designed backdrops which I've rarely seen achieved as appealingly in other anime. In short, 𝘛𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘛𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘨𝘪-𝘴𝘢𝘯 3's visuals are nothing less than a show of the attention to detail coming from such an inspired production. With visuals out of the way, I should now mention the sound design. Of course, the new opening theme, "Massugu" from Yuiko Ōhara is as expected of the series, a joyful and even heartfelt experience. Rie Takahashi's ending themes are also at some of their best here for these same reasons as well, and are diverse in emotion while keeping up the heart and atmosphere of the show. As for the soundtrack composed by Hiroaki Tsutsumi, the new season of 𝘛𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘨𝘪-𝘴𝘢𝘯 offers many new musical additions, while still reusing old soundtracks which have been iconic since the beginning. The attention to detail in 𝘛𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘨𝘪-𝘴𝘢𝘯's soundtrack has always been remarkable, and even more so now, and is one of the aspects of the series that gives the entirety of the work an additional feeling of quality. The noticeably clever use and repetition of certain motifs, which denote different aspects of the show, especially adds to the experience. One place where this comes to mind is the "Presence" segment in episode 2, which is a spectacle of musical storytelling at its finest. Tsutsumi's work can personify a very wide variety of emotions, with many tracks being lighthearted or humorous, but some being incredibly touching and emotional, nostalgic, and thoughtful. All this to say that the compositions which come out of 𝘛𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘛𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘨𝘪-𝘴𝘢𝘯 are of the utmost quality, and are used fittingly in every way possible, with the musical experience only becoming deeper and richer with this third season. Now with technical achievement out of the way, it is necessary to restate that these are just the showing results of such a passionate project, and they add to the experience immensely. Watching 𝘛𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘛𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘨𝘪-𝘴𝘢𝘯 3 is exactly that, a fulfilling experience for me, and it is incredible how much positive emotional impact a series can have on someone. 𝘛𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘛𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘨𝘪-𝘴𝘢𝘯 will always be this way in my heart.

Introduction: Teasing Master Takagi-San returns with a third season that showcases more laughs, more teases, but most importantly more wholesome fluff. On top of that, there is also an upcoming movie adaptation which definitely caught me by surprise. Now that Season 3 is over, how did it do? How did it fare over the previous 2 seasons? Was Season 3 worth the wait? To answer those questions, I'd say yes! Season 3 is amazing and I would consider it to be Takagi's best season as it manages to succesfully continue off of Season's 2 narrative to showcase how Takagi and Nishikata's relationship has significantly changedsince then. Art/Animation: The art and animation managed to receive an upgrade. The characters look like they've become slightly older and the visuals feel more bright, vibrant, and colorful. The expressions are also great here as Nishikata's reactions and comedic faces provide excellent fast-paced comedy, even upon rewatch. For the more intimate and slower paced scenes, you start to feel immersed into the characters' conversations and the use of body language also amplifies the impact of the scene as it shows the kind of behavior these middle schoolers go through. Episode 11 for example showcases a very intimate conversation between Takagi and Nishikata, and the cinematography/editing perfectly captures the mood of that scene with its use of lighting and shadows, well-paced dialogue, body language, and excellent background music. We even get some really creative segments with the animation, such as a scenario animated in retro video game graphics. Finally, each episode had at least one title card that was drawn by the manga author himself which is a nice touch. From a visual perspective, Season 3 improved on this aspect. Story: Season 3 continues off of Season 2's ending, where it shows how Takagi and Nishikata's relationship has significantly changed since then. At face value, for the first half of the season, it would feel like nothing has changed much. The two are still trying to tease each other, with Nishikata mostly being on the losing end. However, despite their dynamic feeling relatively the same, the way they see each other has changed, and if you compare it to the last 2 seasons, you can easily see they have become more comfortable around each other. As stated previously, the series emphasizes quality time as their strongest love language. The more time they spend together, the closer they are able to understand each other. The progression in their character development is handled excellently, as it feels natural and well paced. You get their usual status quo moments, but when it comes to the more intimate moments, they have a lot of impact because their relationship is slowing changing. After all, quality time is where people learn to create special moments with each other. In Takagi and Nishikata's case, from the simple walks home, to the games they play, to even being able to spend Christmas together, each moment they go through is special to them, and in my opinion it highlights the best and most important aspect of the entire series, their chemistry. The season finale in my opinion is thematically perfect as its essentially the culmination of their relationship and manages to succesfully end on a satisfying note, while still leaving room for the movie to focus on its own narrative and find more ways to develop these characters. Season 3 continues the trend of using anime original episodes, which takes up a good quarter of the whole season. This time, the anime team managed to implement some of the manga chapters into these episodes, occassionally modifying them to fit the context, and adding in anime original scenes to give more impact. As stated in the previous review, the Takagi anime is one of those rare cases where it is able to outdo the original source by managing to write its own narrative while also staying true to the author's original vision for the story. The statement still applies to Season 3, which is honestly good direction on their end. The story also continues on to the side characters. We get more focus with the side couples like Mano and Nakai, as well as Houjou and Hamaguchi. One episode even showcases the different chemistries between the 3 pairings. The B-trio is back to help provide some nice comic relief, and sometimes their stories are integrated into the main plot. Other characters such as Takao and Kimura play an effective supporting role and help push the narrative forward. The side characters in this season have become more involved, which is a great plus because of how they will help push Takagi and Nishikata's relationship forward. Characters: Takagi and Nishikata's biggest strength in their development is that their growth relies on the amount of time they spend together, and in Season 3, we see they've become more comfortable around each other. Nishikata becomes more smart with his tactics and competitions, and we even see moments where he even gets Takagi to think rather being replied instantly. He becomes less flustered with his reactions when it comes to being teased, and we even see moments where Nishikata has gotten to better understand Takagi as a person, taking note of her behavior and reactions in certain situations, to which he starts contemplating on how he sees his relationship with Takagi as he does show he enjoys her company. Nishikata even starts to become more aware of his feelings for Takagi, which in turn cause him to make decisions that catch Takagi off guard. On the other side, Takagi is a smart and clever girl, but when it comes to her feelings with Nishikata, we can see that she is emotionally fragile with how she expresses them and uses teasing as a way to show her affection. In Season 3, she becomes more direct with her feelings, as she is slowly trying to grow out of her weakness and trying to better understand Nishikata as a person. We even see Takagi in her most vulnerable state here, making her feel much more human. The development between the two perfectly compliments each other, and manages to pace itself in not straying too far in either direction. If you have been paying attention to their characters since Season 1, then you can see the amount of progression they have went through. The side characters also fufill their role nicely as supporting characters. The B-trio retains their usual dynamic, and we see the different chemistries between the 2 side couples. Takao and Kimura are great comic relief characters with Kimura still being Nishikata's wingman. The side characters help expand on the middle school setting, which gives more life to the overall atmosphere. Soundtrack: In Season 3 there is a known total of 13 songs, which is a considerable amount. It has the main opening and an alternate version of the opening, 8 ending songs, 2 insert songs, and an ending song from Season 1 sung by the B-trio. Rie Takahashi and Yuiko Ohara put a ton of effort into the songs this season, and all of them were amazing this time around. Personal favorites include Hana, Snow Magic Fantasy, Santa Ni Naritai, and Kazamidori wo Mitsukete. The background music this time was smartly used. We even get a segment that features no dialogue with the background music only playing. It was an unique Takagi and Nishikata segment, and reminiscences that of a Tom and Jerry segment. Enjoyment: This season was a blast to watch as it was airing weekly, and I rewatched the episodes multiple times and never got bored of them. My favorite aspect of the Takagi-San series is the relationship between Takagi and Nishikata. Seeing how they have become closer to understanding each other, there were a ton of moments this time around that caught me by surprise, and definitely kept me coming back whenever there was a discussion about it. Conclusion: My final rating for Season 3 is a 10/10. I know I have a bias when it comes to this series, but I have my reasons to back it up, and these reviews only scratch the surface as to why I consider Takagi-San to be my favorite anime. Season 3 did an amazing job progressing Takagi and Nishikata's relationship in amazing ways and it has a ton of surprises that surpass it over Seasons 1 and 2. The ending is honestly perfect in my opinion, and it was an ending that definitely fit in line with their characters. It was definitely worth the wait and I'm happy to see that we have a movie coming that will continue the story, and hopefully end it off on a perfect note because it has the momentum to do so.

Story 10/10 Art 10/10 Sound 10/10 Character 10/10 Enjoyment 10/10 Overall 10/10 There will be no spoiling about the anime just my feelings for the anime.I really was afraid that this season will finish soon. Believe me, I usually don't give reviews but this time I can not stop myself from giving a review to this masterpiece. It's so sad it's finished airing and will have to wait a year again. really cants wait for this anime. I stopped watching when I was just in middle school life but after watching a video on youtube about Teasing Master Takagi-san, I couldn't stop myself from returning to the anime world again. Just started with teasing master season 1 my returning first anime and here you go my 101 anime again is teasing master Takagi-San 3. About the anime - Teasing master Takagi-san is a perfect anime for these Genres: Comedy, Slice of Life, and who said it doesn't have romance. Man, it will be perfect if you want to change your mind about love. I hated love for a single person whole this time but believe me this anime just changed my whole mind. helped me a lot to come back from the darkness. Recommendation: Brother If you want to feel the real feelings about love and teasing of course hahaha you must watch this.

I'm not sure if it's only me but I feel like this season was incredibly slept on. It's unfortunate that Takagi-san was airing amidst all other just as and even more amazing anime out there that I felt like this was overshadowed. Of course those who've watched the previous seasons and have liked it would've came back to the show's best season. The previous seasons were good introductions and build up to this season. S1 and s2 developed the foundations of our characters but it felt like other generic rom-coms with a good twist of teasing and competing with each other. As I was watching thisseason I was hoping for that continuation of what we we're left with in s2. I wanted romantic progression and that's what they gave us. The season developed Nishkata's actual feelings towards Takagi. Since they're really just kids, it's not surprising how dense someone like Nishkata is, someone excited for the action shows and someone who hates being beaten. I was happy to see that Takagi found herself flustered not as often as from the previous seasons. What truly made this season worth it to me was the last episode. It took Nishkata 3 seasons to finally and seriously think about his feelings towards Takagi and once he got thinking he got his answer almost right away. He had me yelling "RUN FOR IT NISHKATA!" The movie is coming closer and closer and I'm excited to see how they plan to continue this show just a bit longer. Although I haven't watched much rom-com animes as I should, I've always felt like developing romance where both characters don't start with much romance is much harder to execute. This season proved me wrong. Overall, this season gave us the romantic progression we needed. Not to mention having other characters with their own couple problems and interactions were more apparent in order for more romantic need between Nishkata and Takagi.

S3 completes the series of Teasing Master Takagi San. I am especially pleased by the strong character development and the consistent story development. Our beautiful and clever girl Takagi San does have weakness. Our boy Nishikata sometimes looks silly, but he has his strength which is attractive to Takagi. The daily slices of story may look plain sometimes, but could happen in real life. Memories and funny things are the accumulation of these daily slices. Teasing Master Takagi San is a comfortable watch, and always adds me a smile after each episode.Especially like the EDs and insert songs. The EDs are reflecting the story.

In essence, this season of 'Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san 3' is an outright masterpiece. As well as being able to be enjoyed by people that casually watch it that just wants to sit with the comfy nature of the show, it can also be really enjoyable for the audience of people that pick up on the subtle details of the show. Also, some people may say that the plot is "predictable" but it just adds to the curiosity of how the event is lead to and resolved. Honestly, this is anything far from a drawback for the show because it definitely plays no part in spoilingthe experience. It's just so great to see such a comfy-type anime to really bring out the potential of the show with the foundation it had provided from the beginning of the show.

tldr; Amazing third season that starts off like a snowball, getting better each episode that is about a comedic slice of life with characters acting their age and character development, extremely beautiful art, music, and pacing. Story - Picking up where season 2 left off and trying to delve into the relationship between Takagi and Nishikata further. While the first half of the season can be considered the usual teasing hijinks, each plot point is carefully placed to lead up to amazing episodes later on. Art - The water color art style highlights the beauty of Shodoshima's environments well and the character designs are always spot on,feeling like a natural extension of the environments. Sound - First off, the main voice actors (Takahashi Rie-san and Yuuki Kaji-san are huge fans of the source material, and it shows in their voice acting: simply the BEST. In terms of music is SOOOO good, Ohara Yuiko writes/composes the openings and she really enjoys the show as well. The various ending songs, are amazing- as they are chosen to represent Takagi's feeling of the episode and show her voice actor's dynamic singing ability. The le motif of specific characters and Takagi/Nishikata's theme really hits the marks. As a music fan, the sound heavily augments the scenes. I've bought all the vocal songs on digitally on Amazon Music and can't wait to buy the OST. Character - Takagi and Nishikata are a great pair that actually feeds off of one another very well, despite being young middle schoolers. The side characters are great too and all serve a purpose, whether its helping with pacing or juxtaposing their relationships with Takagi and Nishikata. Kimura is the best wing man ever. Enjoyment - Loved every moment of the show and cried tears of happiness many times. The latter half of the season was amazing and many of those episodes could have been considered season finales for the development they brought the characters AND their production values. Overall - Currently my favorite anime of all time, as it simply brings me so much happiness watching and re-watching it seeing Takagi and Nishikata get closer and closer each episode. Remembering the episodes don't effect my enjoyment one bit and continue to have the comedic/emotional impact as the first time: a rare gem.

I'm a big fan of this anime but you probably knew it just by looking at my pfp. ANYWAY... this season was really really good. STORY: 7 Takagi-san tries more than ever to show her feelings and Nishikata is... well... we can say that he got some development too, especially in the last episode with him realizing that maybe Takagi-san likes him. Yes it should be obvious by now but it doesn't matter, that's how he is. So, we can say that the story is more or less the same as the other 2 seasons, but with some nice progress.ART: 8 The artstyle is good, not the best but it's nice. I gave it an 8 just because I noticed that in some episodes, especially the backgrounds, didn't look really good. SOUND: 9 OOOOH GOD, the opening is so good, both the song and the animation, especially the part on the boat AAAAAAH... ok sorry. The endings are also really good, almost every episode had a new ending song. The voice actors were as good as always, they're perfect for this characters. CHARACTER: 9 Like I said before, in this season we got to see some nice developments in both Takagi and Nishikata, but also in the other characters! Everyone got more screentime than usual. As usual we've got the girls trio scene in almost every episode, but we also got to see scenes with the other couples. ENJOYMENT: 10 Overall, I really enjoyed this season and that's why I gave it a 10/10. Not because of the story or other technical aspects, because of course it wouldn't be a 10/10 if it was just for that. Every friday I was waiting for the new episode to come out and then smile at the screen for 23 minutes. It's not meant for everybody because it can be a little repetitive and it doesn't have a plot like One Piece, AOT... If you like romance/slice of life or of course, if you have seen the previous seasons, this is a must watch! Now we can all patiently wait for the movie and... AAAAAAAAAAAH my heart is so empty right now, I need MOOOOORE!

Cute, Sweet, and Charming. Those are the words I can describe for the whole series of Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san. From funny and cute schemes to the sweet and charming romance of the story. Watching their story makes me remember how beautiful and romantic my middle school days were. In other words, nostalgic. Now, these large-fore-headed couples made another comeback for the third season of Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san. When the third season was announced, I couldn’t believe it and felt a huge excitement. I never expected this show would get another season, after 3 years of waiting. Knowing they will deliver again, another sweet romancefor their hardcore fans, including me. And that never fails to amaze me. This will be my anime of the season. Story: The story took place after the events of season 2. It’s a usual day for Nishikata, as he still has not found a way to beat his nemesis, Takagi-san. But the story shifted its tone. From the first season of episodic teases of Takagi to the point when the gap between them, gradually became closer than ever. This season became a serious lighthearted romance and showed some schemes that had never been seen before. The story is kind to its viewers and the romance portrayal from enemies to close friends was very sweet. Every single moment of the show, especially the couple makes you giggle, entertain, and even smile. From the first season until the latest, the story and romance factors are still incredibly consistent. Some story parts were moving to its development, and some easter eggs were shown. Like in Moto Takagi-san's story, which was unexpected. Even you might say the story is still the same, you will get hooked over and over again I believe their story wouldn’t be the same as before. Because I can feel it they will reach their happily ever after. Animation: The animation of the show evolved this season. I remember the first season’s animation was plain good. But the animation quality this season is fire. Shin-Ei animation studio's production style kept up with the animation style of other famous studios like Cloverworks and KyoAni. Especially the art sequence of the OP and ED. I noticed their foreheads became shinier than before. The art in every scene was superb and pretty handled well. I don’t have to say that much when it comes to art but I loved it. Music: This is one of the factors I love about this series. The music is heartwarming. The cool thing about its music is it used every OP of the show and made some variations for the soundtrack. I remember when Eufonious made many variations of True Tears’ OP in that show, and Sakurasou’s Days of Dash had a piano variation. Even in Clannad, I’d got to hear it. Many romance animes used that kind of skill in their soundtracks. We got to hear the cute variation of Iwanai no Kedo ne and Zero Centimeters from the previous seasons. But in this season, we heard Massugu variation, but this time, the singer hummed it. It’s so sweet and very suitable for every scene in the show. The OP is still amazing, but I prefer Zero Centimeters more. Even I didn't like the EDs that much, it's still pretty good. Characters: What can I say about the characters? The main couple, Nishikata and Takagi were very written well. I remember when Nishikata hated Takagi because of her teasing moments. But his feelings bloomed because of his moments spend with Takagi. The two of them became true to their feelings for each other but the moments of their challenges to each other remain. Even I saw in Moto Takagi-san, they are still challenging each other. The other side characters were funny too, especially the side couples. The boys and the girls were funny as well. The development of Nishikata and Takagi is the one I wanted from this show. And that’s so charming. Overall: I like this show, and it easily beats my top 10 favorite romance. This kind of romance story deserves to be recognized, loved, and appreciated by many audiences, especially romance fans. This kind of anime is the one you needed for if you want a solid romance with many cute gag scenes. I enjoyed it watching with my friends, siblings, and even my loved ones. I can’t imagine myself if I reach the conclusion of the series and I can wait to see the movie someday. All in all, this anime will be in my romance favorites and I’m glad to recommend this to everyone. This will be worth your time and will make you entertain to your heart's content.

Up till now I've always thought of Takagi-san as a non sequitur, each episode a known quantity without any big surprises in store. Season 3 doesn't turn this dynamic on its head, but it's a big step forward in many ways. The bread and butter of Takagi-san is still there: Nishikata seeks victory over Tagaki, and his hastily-concocted schemes are quickly and repeatedly undone by her superior intellect. But the game is altered in season 3 by such innovations as losing on purpose, declining to play, and only pretending to play. As always, the most heartwarming bit is watching Nishikata put his feelings for Takagi aheadof his desire for victory as he slowly comes to understand what those feelings are. The side characters are fantastic in season 3. While they still exist primarily to put Nishikata and Tagaki's relationship in context, most of them have settled into their respective friend groups by now and we see them chatting with classmates they seemed to barely notice before. Seeing the new classroom dynamic emerge was a real joy, and I'm excited for what the future holds. The direction for this season is also top-notch. On quite a few occasions I had to pause the show and ask myself "What show is this??", and I wish there were more of these unexpected scenes in the second half. More broadly, the show is very stylistically consistent, and the full-episode arcs bring out the best in Nishikata and Takagi's relationship- I hope we get more of them in season 4. Chii Nishikata's existence is a matter of dire importance. I feel like I may have jumped the gun by looking at some of the manga covers on this season's website so I would avoid doing so if you haven't already. All in all, this season's a solid 8.5/10. It's not perfect, but it never failed to make me smile, and you can bet I'll be watching the movie as soon as it airs.

Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san 3 (2022) If you are here for the first time with this series, honestly please just go and watch it from the start because there is just a superb time for enjoyment. When I first saw this series I thought it would be cute then I realised it was touching when I saw a video clip of the resort swimming park OVA. This is a show where I really truly wanted to see character development. The show does not disappoint in any way whatsoever. It is in its niche and performs to a spectacular level. The art style has only been polishedfrom before but ultimately stays the same in essence and that is a fantastic quality for this show since it looks beautiful whilst also being fun and not too serious. The OP and ED are great and the general feeling you get from the sound has a real impact when you need it. The sound on this is done to a superb level. Character development is continuous and never have I seen even one episode where I thought there wasn't any or there wasn't enough. I honestly think you can care about the actions of various characters in this. Overall, this is a superb show and one that I am so happy with is now getting a movie. You sit on the edge of your seat waiting for a confession. This time around you get so much set up, a final episode realisation and a situation where I can actually think, you know what that is enough for now and then the credits rolled. A few tears appeared whilst I watch it come to an end this time around. 10/10. Keep me on the edge of my seat. A true 10/10.

This season improved a lot and i don't even know what to say. SPOILER WARNING!!!! Story As usual, it starts off very similar to S1 & S2, but now there's more emotional impact to the teasing in this season. Nishikata naturally tries to get the upper hand with Takagi, but now his words have more meaning. They finally develop the two main characters' feelings and Nishikata questions his feelings for Takagi more and more throughout the series. He considers her as a love interest and even blushes more for her than usual. However, Takagi just waits for him to realize his feelings and not a lot ofdevelopment happens on her side. Also, they gave us a special episode of their future daughter. And the way how they display her personality was just...*Chefs kisses* She had the BIG HEAD, the nervous personality of her father yet the looks of her mother. The ending overall was sweet, overdramatic but sweet. Art Consistently good, although I know they slightly messed up the opening art(episode 1), but... it was only an error. sound Good sound. Character To be honest... Nishikata is the only one with character development in this season. He originally just thought of Takagi as a friend that teases him, but this season he gains a lot of confidence to express how he feels. The play episode was by far his best moment; not only does that episode help him gain confidence, but it also showed how interested he was in Takagi. Enjoyment This season wasn't boring AT ALL. I actually enjoyed every single episode without forcing myself to finish it like other shows. Overall I love this show and it is one of my favorite slice of life, romcom I've ever watched. I ] didn't think this show was getting a S3 but im glad it did and i recommend watching it. 8.5

Sequels are driven by nostalgia, and sometimes that sense of nostalgia that we have diminishes as more seasons of a show come out, and it gets boring. Thankfully, the third season of Takagi-San uses all its nostalgia and themes from its first two seasons, and builds upon them effectively. The quality was as good and consistent as the first two seasons, and the characters are starting to get a bit more development. Now, if I may not be so formal for a second, let me just say that AHHH THIS IS SO SWEET! Ok, and there was my scream about how pleasant this show is.Alright, let's get on with the review. My episodic grading scale: Story: /10 Art: /10 Music: /10 Characters: /25 Enjoyment: /15 Thematic Execution: /30 STORY: 6.9/10 Much like previous seasons, this show is very episodic, filled with various skits that build up to a conclusion. I will admit that the earlier portion of the show was a bit of a drag, but the latter portion of the show was great! The narrative more or less stays the same, and the endgame is obvious, and many plot points are predictable, as I predicted two big scenes to happen as soon as I saw what they were trying to do. It's pleasant for sure. ART: 9/10 I enjoy the simple, yet beautiful art style. The composition of shots is good, and direction overall was well executed. MUSIC: 8.4/10 Probably my least favourite set of openings and endings, but that's not to say they don't fit the direction of the story. CHARACTERS: 21.5/25 Pure sweetness! I noticed quickly that in this season, Takagi says way more bold things to Nishikata, and that's a sign of development. Nishikata, while still incredibly dense, at least figures some things out, and he got more exciting to watch as the narrative went along, and sometimes got me all up in my emotions (yes I cried by the way). A common gripe I'm sure some of you have is the side characters. That continues to be my complaint as well, but I think they handled the side characters well and used them more effectively than before, which is a step in the right direction. ENJOYMENT: 14.2/15 Probably the show I enjoyed the most out of everything this season, it's just very wholesome and gets you emotional sometimes. THEMATIC EXECUTION: 24.5/30 The romance theme here was flushed out very effectively, and it made the story all the more enjoyable. The comedy isn't that great, but it functions well enough. Overall, a definite improvement in emphasizing the thematic elements of the show than any of the first two seasons. OVERALL: 84.5/100 This was fun to watch, no doubt about it. Story slowed down in the first half, but the latter half made it all worth it. The ending to each season always knocks it out of the park, and for this season, there was no exception. The movie is coming soon, and you bet I'll be ready for that when the time comes!

*Spoiler Free Review* Although the set-up for this series was painfully long, season 3 of Teasing Master Takagi-san really turns up the heat on this wholesome romance, giving viewers crazy levels of giddiness with every episode. The first thing I really want to point out in this review are the marked improvements compared to Seasons 1 and 2. One of my biggest qualms with this show was the pacing. While I understand that every good story needs a good foundation to work with, there were so many times that I found myself bored while watching the first two seasons. It seemed like something truly interesting only happenedonce every 2 or 3 episodes, making Nishikata and Takagi’s relationship stagnate for the most part. Season 3 fixes all this by making some key changes that really spring the story into motion. Firstly, it puts far less focus on side character stories. While I enjoy the occasional break from our main storyline, seeing the trio of girls or other couples take the majority of screentime in an episode was frustrating. Especially if their side story was entirely forgettable with no impact on the plot as a whole. This season, side characters were correctly used to break or add tension at key moments. Their appearance also added depth to key moments between Nishikata and Takagi, therefore, eliminating these random tangents that took up almost half the show. Takagi also perfectly dials back the subtlety of her feelings for Nishikata. She continues to tease him in unique and clever ways, but uses this teasing as a guise to express her true emotions. This gives Nishikata a fair chance to interpret her love rather than relying on bad plot devices (like random events) to push him to an epiphany. It also spices up their competitions whenever Takagi becomes bolder about what the rewards or winning conditions are. The final point I want to make is that Nishikata doesn’t magically become romantically interested in Takagi. A lot of romance shows tend to have one or two characters just “suddenly realize their love” despite not showing it bud in the first place. In Season 3, we often see Nishikata stumble upon emotions of jealousy, protectiveness, and longing, making the build-up in the relationship much more genuine. Now you might be wondering… “If you have such high praise for this show, why didn’t you give it a 10?” Well, I reserve a 10 for shows that revolutionize a genre, premise, or idea. As well-executed as Season 3 was, I didn’t find anything exceptional or extraordinary *yet*. However, I’m very much looking forward to the movie, which may push this anime to a true masterpiece.

Okay, so this series is very different to any other romance / slice of life anime. I feel like the difference lies in the fact, that in most romance shows, a confession or kiss happens at the end of 1 season, or a fakeout confession to wave it off with comedy. This series is different. And the way it's executed is brilliant. Quick warning, there might be some spoilers in this review (although I try to warn the reader whenever I talk about a spoiler, so I guess decide for yourself). If you don't want spoilers, here's some advice: watch the show if you like romanceanime. Watch it. Go, now! Three seasons are waiting for you! Okay? Good. Back to the review. Also, if you've watched seasons 1 and 2, that might be helpful too. To start, let me give you my scores for season 1 and 2: - Season 1: 6.5 / 10 - Season 2: 8.5 / 10 Season 1 of this show really shows off it's slice of life element, to such an extend that it becomes somewhat boring towards the end. All of it's little stories are based off the manga, which is fantastic, but there's little progression between them. Although I have to say, watching S1 again, it's certainly fun to see how daring Takagi was with her teasing back then. Sadly, the season ended with a 'critical hit' on Takagi, even though that didn't really mean that much. Combine the enjoyment and good comedy with a not so memorable soundtrack, art, and story direction, and I think a 6.5/10 is well-deserved. Then season 2 comes around, and it's the same concept. Takagi teases Nishikata and he tries to get back at her. Although, this season had a clear theme from start to finish: the hand holding. It established that as a 'goal' to work towards. What we also got, was actual romantic progression! You could watch the episodes from season 1 in ANY order you want and it wouldn't matter (apart from the final 2 or something I suppose). Season 2 is different. There's actual progression from episode to episode and manga chapters are changed in such a way to fit in that style perfectly. Also, we got introduced to 2 completely anime-original episodes (7 and 12) and they're the peak of the season. The tone shifted from slice of life more towards romance, it was about 50/50 I'd say. The hand-holding at the end was beautiful too, and just the fact that he holding her hand made this season feel complete says a lot about how good this season was executed. The one thing that held it back for me was, the feeling that after that scene, Nishikata would just go back to being his oblivous self, which brings us to season 3.... Season 3 picks up right where season 2 left off! Right off the bat, there's a callback to the ending of season 2 in the first episode, establishing the tone of this season. What immediately stood out, is that the formula is NOT repetitive in the slightest. Episode 1 goes all crazy with the dreams of Takagi and Nishikata. And the part where Takagi wakes up from the dream and says what she said, beautiful. It hypes up the rest of the season in a beautiful way. And boy, did they deliver. Episodes 2 - 11 are great. The creativity from episode to episode really stood out and there wasn't a single moment when I thought: oh, this formula again. The episodes contain a lot of development. I feels like the two are really growing closer as their friendship develops, and the fact that Takagi wants them to be more than just friends becomes very clear. Nishikata's feelings are all over the place again, and there's some situations in which he already acts as her boyfriend without realizing it. It's fantastic to see, and it really highlights the main goal of this season, which is...... [SPOILER AHEAD IN THE NEXT PARAGRAPH] Realization! Yep, no confession, kiss, or whatsoever. That kind of scheme was already done in season 2. This is much more important. Nishikata has always averted the thought of liking Takagi, and his obliviousness kept him from looking past the teasing and realize Takagi's true feelings. You might ask yourself: why would that be great if this might just be the last season of Takagi-san? Well, that's because of the movie. The art of this series is beautiful too. The animation is pretty average, to be honest, but the lighting and scenery are absolutely gorgeous. It sets the mood, and makes you forget that this is just a show about two 14 year olds. The soundtrack too, my goodness. It's just as good as Season 2's, maybe even better. It's mind-blowing how it hits you in the feels sometimes. The OP is fantastic, on par with season 1 in my opinion. It's just a big wave of comfort somehow, and the comination of instruments (especially in the final 5 seconds or so) is perfect. Hamaguchi, Houjou, Kimura, Takao, Nakai and Mano are part of the show again, and I feel like we didn't really see them as much compared to the previous 2 seasons (although I believe Hamaguchi and Houjou weren't part of S1 at all). I actually liked this. Don't get me wrong, I love all of these characters, but the fact that they didn't appear constantly made the moments where they did appear extra special. Especially since none of the moments where they appeared made me feel like 'they just had to fill up some minutes', a thought that went through my mind multiple times in both S1 and S2. Also, the three friends Mina, Sanae and Yukari are part of the show, and I loved seeing their interactions. Especially in the anime-exclusive episodes. Speaking off... About the anime-exclusive episodes, my goodness, they were fantastic. They were the primary source of the development between Nishikata and Takagi, and they were the peak of the show. We actually got 4 of them this season (with some parts of manga chapters sprinkled in), which is double the amount of last season. I won't spoil too much, but if you've watched S2, know that they are just as heart-warming. What I loved to see, is that this season tells you a lot without telling you. That might sound confusing, but it's actually beautiful. It shows how much Nishikata appreciates Takagi throughout the season (a BIG step-up, even compared to S2). It shows the really tender side of Takagi, and that she's exceptional at hiding her feelings. (something that S1 and S2 didn't explore as much). Even Nishikata is a bit more honest with his feelings this season, even though he doesn't really realize that himself. The reactions that he gets out of Takagi because of that is something we rarely saw in S1 and 2, but it really adds to both their characters. SPOILERS ABOUT EPISODE 12: The thing is, Nishikata has been oblivious to any feelings from Takagi and himself too. If this season was setting up a confession or something like that, they would've taken this series into a different direction in episodes 6 to 12, or even earlier. Three seasons of obliviousness, to then realize Takagi's feelings, his own feelings and move to a confession in just 1 episode? That would be wrong pacing and I'm so grateful to the team that they didn't do this. Making Nishikata realize that there's more to the teasing than just making fun of him, while at the same time learning something about his own feelings is a goal WAY bigger than the entire hand-holding arc in S2. (oh and can we just appreciate Kimura being the MVP once again?) With this moment established, we can now all wait in anticipation for the movie to finish it off. It's the perfect setup: the movie could be about Nishikata figuring out what he has to do with his and Takagi's feelings, to ultimately build towards a confession at the end. If that were to happen, now THAT'S good writing. One of the most slow-paced, but satisfying shows. In short, this season is beautiful. It's like one big wave of comfort and it makes your heart flutter. From S1 to S2, the tone shifted from slice of life to 50% slice of life and 50% romance. Now, in S3, I'd say the slice of life aspect of the show comes from the side characters, and everything Nishikata-Takagi is just straight up romance. It says a lot about this season as a whole. If the ending is or isn't what you expected, you'll probably agree that it's executed in the most beautiful way possible, and the growth that both characters got this season, is something that you'll absolutely love, wheter you've watched S1 and S2 or not. With the movie on the way, they have a chance to close off this wonderful story all about innocence and being honest with yourself in the most beautiful way possible. I'd put this series on par with Oregairu (although S1 of Takagi-san wasn't thát good of a start). Although it doesn't have the complicated drama and deep conversations that really makes you emotional and think about them, it gives off similar amounts of feelings, while saying a lot less. I know, it's a weird comparison. But you might just understand it if you've finished all three seasons. The slow pace in which this romance develops was definetely the right choice. Combine that with beautiful scenery and lighting, a fantastic OST and lovable side-characters, and this show is an honest 10/10.

I was honestly afraid of this season of Takagi-san. Now, after finishing, i'm glad my worries were unfounded. My main worry was that, while being wonderful, season 1 and 2 had only a little of character development. I was worried we would get more of the same, which would still be good, but would have shattered my expectations. If you began to love this series after the famous "critical hit", you won't be disappointed. Season 3 will deliver a TON of development, not only for Nishikata, but also for Takagi. The once pure and innocent teasing from her will slowly go from a strong friendship toactual love. Not that she didn't love him before, but she will actively hint it a lot more in this season. And, while Nishikata is as dense as your average rom-com protagonist, he is actually a kid, and for that reason, it makes sense he denies the obvious hints for a while. But, as the season develops, he will eventually start raising doubts, about his feelings and her feelings too. The drawback is that this could be the conclusion, but it isn't. So, even though there is a movie next that will most likely conclude the series, this third season leaves a bittersweet feeling on you. It builds up so much and suddenly ends at a very sweet point, which can be a drawback for some. Overall, i can safely say this is the best season so far. I can even say that, if you are currently on season one, wondering if this show ever goes anywhere and looking at reviews of the next seasons, then give it a go. Third season makes it so much worth it, and will exceed your expectations.

Oh lordie...Takagi-san, Takagi-san, Takagi-san. Once is just about enough, but two's a company and three's a crowd...or in this case: 3rd time's the charm. The correct way to sum the entire series which started out the greatness of mangaka Souichirou Yamamoto's manga can be described like this: - Season 1 was the base foundation, an introduction / prologue if you will, into the couple that is the teasing master Takagi-san and her "boyfriend" Nishikata, along with the Ashita wa Doyoubi girls Mina, Sanae and Yukari as a side story; - Season 2 is more of the same, but with hints of romantic progression between the two leads, andlast but not least; - Season 3 is the pinnacle and epilogue of the parent series with character development being the central focus thus far, adding their other classmates that we've already known but being couples now (Mano X Nagai, Hojo X Hamaguchi). And for diehard Takagi fans (like myself), the VERY FIRST introduction of Chi, and I'm not gonna spoil this to anime-onlies since it plays a huge part in this mangaka's world of Takagi-san as a whole. Not to mention that literally 2022 is Souichirou Yamamoto's year of getting 3 simultaneous adaptations in a row, 3! Consisting of this wrapped-up Season 3, Spring's Kunoichi Tsubaki no Mune no Uchi a.k.a In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki by CloverWorks, and Summer's Soredemo Ayumu wa Yosete Kuru a.k.a When Will Ayumu Make His Move? by Silver Link. Add in the movie/film that was just announced hastily for June, and I can tell you that this is a lot to take in, and Souichirou Yamamoto is really raking it rich with his works that are adored by many. All we're left is WHEN will we eventually get the (Moto) spin-off adapted, now that will be the greatest thing ever. As for Season 3, TL;DR, if you've watched both Seasons 1 and 2, expect the very same thing here, but with the romance stakes pushed up higher as both Takagi and Nishikata get baby steps closer to each other...well, that's if the awfully dense Nishikata ever will get a hint. More original stories that aren't from the manga are added in for more romantic spice, and add in the oh-so-remembered Yuiko Oohara and Rie Takahashi differential songs line-up of an OST, and all in all, this is the Takagi-san that we all know and love since its inception. Takagi-san has always been great since Day 1, who can really fault it? No one it seems.
