Man, exploration is fun, isn't it? Who doesn't love a globetrotting adventure? Well, I personally do and to my delight, that's exactly what we get here, a far journey on an old wooden ship, recapturing the essence of the golden age of exploration. And what an adventure it was! Having everyone on board the ship and acting as a crew only went on to help the already amazing character chemistry shine even brighter. The way everyone works together on the ship and the moments where, for one reason or another, certain characters are unavailable, really go to show how they all rely on each other andhow the whole is stronger than any individual part. Senku and Chrome the clever scientist. Kohaku, Magma, Kinro and Nikki the muscle and strongest fighters. Ginro. Kaseki the master carpenter and genius engineer. Taiju the tank with his ridiculous strength and limitless stamina. Yuzuriha the master craftsgirl with her magic hands. Ryuusui the captain and navigator. Gen the sharp tongued manipu...I mean diplomat! Everyone has their own strength and unique skills, thus making each and every one of them irreplaceable. Except Yo. We should've left him petrified (I don't like cops). Beyond that, there isn't much to say besides the fact that the quality only keeps getting better. Visuals, sounds, music and voice acting remain cream of the crop. Story is incredibly engaging and only gets more intense with the introduction of the new location, its history and the new cast of antagonists. We're not playing with sticks and stones no more, things are serious now! Honestly, all I can say is do yourself a favour and dive in! Dr. Stone is only going from strength to strength and the quality has only been going up. Get in here and explore science! The Stone World is our oyster!

5.5/10 This season felt like it went by a bit too fast. Anything that fit the plot just kinda happens spontaneously, despite everything up until this point being a lengthy explanation or excursion to obtain. With death meaning nothing in this show, nor stakes ever meaning anything up until this point. You know that the main charecters will prevail no matter what happens. This type of writing is extremely uninteresting and gets boring. Each season more and more charecters get introduced and each of them remain one dimensional, which pains me each time more and more. The memory plot device of recalling everything perfectly felt abit too hand fed and really made things feel un earned. New world is really devoid of the 'magic' that the first season was... and at this point we just watch because we are binging the junk food.

Did you enjoy Dr. Stone 1st and 2nd season? Well be prepared, for a story which has no conflicts in it. Third season takes you on a wild ride with a pacing better fitted for a 22 episode crammed into 11, science takes a complete backseat as we now enter the fantasy realm, taking absolutely everything that made Dr. Stone unique, throwing it out the window and turning it into a tried and true shounen story where Senkuu seemingly becomes super hero who can create anything at this stage without much trial and error. The shallowness of Dr. Stone third season is its greatest downfallmaking it truly, mediocre.

English. What a great first part of the season, since the special episode that we have seen before, they suggested that they would go to the new world and I think that if they fulfilled this, I love the way in which the series is realistic, the days and months go by with constructions that are difficult to do that although for the viewer it is not really much if many days have passed, a series that tells us a great story and with that also gives us curious science data that is not too much, they make the construction of a ship is something formidablebut at the same time they do not leave aside the main story of our protagonists, with new mysteries of what caused this great calamity and thus, if I could say something bad about this season it will be the fact that there are occasions where the objective The main thing is something quite distant from our protagonists and to achieve it they have to do a series of very laborious things that some find boring, from then on this first part is quite good and highly recommended if you have already seen the previous seasons.

Dr. Stone: New World was so much fun from start to finish and really ramped up the stakes and intensity in the story, had plenty of tense moments and it was really gripping throughout. Man I just adore every character in this show they are so damn fun I cannot stress it enough, and the new characters we meet from the prequel Ryuusui to this season are such a wonderful fit both with the story and with the other characters which was honestly surprising given how the dynamics already worked. I really think this is one of the coolest shows out there, it's bombastic and overthe top but that's the whole point and it works so well for this absurd story and these absurd characters. There are so many moments where ur just like "damn that was cool" and this show also manages to nail the comedy, breathtaking moments and tense moments along with that it's a great mix of everything. Comedically I found this season to be really good, I was laughing a ton throughout this but they never ruined a serious moment with comedy, if anything sometimes it added to it and I thought that was great. Very excited to see where the next cour goes considering the ending of this one and how everything is ramping up a ton, a great continuation to a great series but it got a 9 instead of a 10 from me due to it being more of a build up and not having as many standout moments as I felt the other seasons had, a must watch for sure for Dr. Stone fans!

Science Rules! The squad now trying to expand civilization. The first half was basically all the science stuff that the tv show is known for. I’m 10 billion percent sure that if you love this show for the cool science creation, you would love this part. I think it was alright, because just like Food War, I started to get bored of the same stuff all over again. The story after this was a lot better and had some decent mystery into it. This later half was what got me more intrigued into the show. It’s still a bit disappointing since it’s still a set up forthe next season. Overall, each episode was pretty fun, but the whole season felt very short and was more of a buildup. 6.5/10

"DR. STONE NEW WORLD" Genre- Adventure, Sci-Fi, Comedy, Shounen. The third season of Dr. Stone drops in like a banger. Starting the story just where it left off, the third season steals your heart immediately. With the Kingdom of Science ever-expanding and pushing towards the goal of reviving all of humanity, this new season gives you hope to look forward to all the amazing things coming. As we all know, this anime has a story that is totally different from other anime, making it one of a kind experimental anime, due to its different approach to the dangers that surround humanity and also its way of progressing thestoryline by finding out the reason for petrification, by keeping modern-ancient science at the forefront. And while it may all be different, it still is a banger of an anime as it captivates you unlike anything you have ever seen before and will get all the hustle related to Tsukasa out of the way, this season focuses more on exploration and science-related stuff that we missed out a little on the second season. With the season leaving us in such deep suspense, we know its Part 2 is inevitable and we might expect it a little later this year, so that is something to really look forward to. As for animation and comedy, it keeps it the same from season one, so that is something we can rejoice about, as Dr. Stone without these two factors would definitely feel a little broken and lost. This anime is absolutely a "MUST WATCH."

This might be my favorite Dr. Stone season so far. The past seasons were good too, but this season actually felt like it moves the plot forward quite well. In addition, I think the character interactions has improved a lot- at least that's how it felt to me. I actually laughed a lot at the comedy this season. No spoiler, but the plot this season is Senku and the Science Team sailing out of Japan to find the light source and save humanity once in for all. However, they happened to stumble upon an island, which makes things very interesting to say the last- because that islanddoes indeed harbor other humans. That's all I'll say about the that since any further and I might spoil the plot. I actually like the surprises the plot brings forth. Character wise, Senku is an amazing MC as always. I have a soft spot for Kohaku, and they actually give her screen time this season, so I really enjoy that as well. Some of her bits made me laugh out loud. Ryuusui I found annoying, but he is what he is. The rest were there too, but the best support character by far is Gen. The mentalist is way more involved this season and I'm all for it. I think he brings more depth to the show that other characters do not. So glad they basically made him the 2nd most important character this season. You will too. As for the animation, music, and VA- they're all the same as previous seaosn. For me, they're all solid 10/10. I really like how the manga artist draws his characters. I will say though- even more than previous season, is that this 3rd season you really need a sense of disbelief to enjoy the show. The time jumps are all over the place. Sometimes you don't even know if there IS a time jump, but just have to assume. Why? Because a lot of the science stuff they come up with should take YEARS to complete, but the show kind of just says they do it and that's that. Need a microscope? WHABAM- now you have one. Don't ask us how it happened or how long it took to make. Rail roads and carts? Yeah, no problem. Btw, this automobile is now fully functional like a modern day car. Okay so despite all that- personally for me I was able to gloss over this suspense of disbelief and still really enjoy the show. So should you watch Dr. Stone: New World? YES, I think you will enjoy it.

I've always enjoyed this series, albeit it has only rarely wowed me with its execution. I enjoy watching them science their way through problems, and the dynamics between the characters are always a good time, but while the former get more complicated this time around (which is for the better), the latter gets more focused (which doesn't work as well). There’s a big shakeup that happens around the midpoint of the season, but it just reduces the number of players in the series for a time. It doesn’t really change the goals of its central cast. We also get a new group of antagonists whoare interesting, but very underdeveloped at this point. As someone who read the manga, I know this will get better in Part 2, but the first half of this portion of the anime just doesn’t stick out. It looks as pretty as ever, there’s a lot to like about the usual sciencing, and, like the last season, it’s more focused and directed than the early days of this series. Nonetheless, it still feels like it’s just getting started and, despite a very strong moment in the finale that I had been waiting to see, it felt underwhelming over all. Not bad by any means, and still worth the watch, just not up to this series' usual standard.

Doctor Stone : New World pt.1 was good ! Very good! It's just like the other seasons, great art, good comedy, a lot of fun, god tier OST, mix everything together and you get this 8/10 season ! With its end, you can't wait for the rest and honestly I'm pretty excited for the next season coming in October. I don't have much to say except that you should definitely give it a try ! The rythm of the episodes are a bit... well let's say it gets better the more you watch lol. Love the bonding between the characters, and also the new ones !It's beautiful to see them understand each other even better than before ! Love that ! Just another very good season !

This show is just consistently good, fun, and enjoyable. If you want a show that won't let you down in it quality or story, this IS the show for you. In this season, the show just took an interesting turn for it story, and is now getting better and opening new chapters. When the stone wars ends, this show just passed the point of "the big point" of the show where it is what it is selling at the start. After that point many viewer might drop it since the main premise now is done, and the new premise might not be as interesting for them, but thisshow is one of the few elite group that pass the first premise test. It's season 3 now and if you enjoy the previous seasons, you will enjoy this one too, if you're reading this at this point, then just watch it bruh. Overall quality is as good as the same, but the story is now better since it is now taking a more interesting turns of event. TLDR: WATCH IT IF YOU LIKE THE PREVIOUS SEASONS, CUZ THE STORY IS NOW GETTING HOTTT

Dr. Stone is one of those shows that I never seek out to watch, but every time I put it on I'm thoroughly entertained. If you enjoyed the previous seasons, you’ll like this one too. However, if there's any gripe I have that's worth pointing out with this season compared to the previous ones, it's the fact that some of the science stuff is beginning to get a little bit "incomprehensible". An aspect that I (a science nerd) really enjoyed with the earlier seasons was how many concepts and technologies of modern civilizations were explained by simple, primitive science. Now that the fictional civilization hasbeen established, the show has kind of moved past that, and the science used is gradually becoming more and more obscure. At the end of the day, the story must develop, so the ends partly justify the means in this case. 7 / 10, yes, the Ryuusui special is canon, so watch that first.

One of the most impressive aspects of Dr. Stone is its ability to keep the premise fresh and captivating. New World takes a massive departure from the previous season, a war between kingdoms, and introduces us to an entirely new adventure: sailing to an unknown world, confronting new enemies, and unraveling the mystery behind the green petrification light. This refreshing change of pace demonstrates the anime’s flexibility and ensures that the story remains engaging. The story of New World centers around Senkuu and his team’s journey to reach the source of the green light that petrified humanity. The season wastes no time, and the pacing iswell-executed, maintaining a sense of urgency. As the episodes progress, the story takes us on an epic journey with Senkuu and his comrades. Episode by episode, we witness their determination to reach South America, the source of the petrification ray, and unravel the mysteries of the new world. The first episode sets the stage for their ambitious plan to construct an oil-powered ship, highlighting the importance of locating the Sagara Oil Field. The subsequent episodes delve into their challenges, such as finding resources for shipbuilding, developing farming techniques, and even searching for a professional chef to enhance their food production. The story takes intriguing twists and turns, introducing the character of Amaryllis, an ambitious rebel from the new world, and Francois, Ryusui’s butler/chef, who adds a touch of sophistication to the group (as well as being the first LGBTQ+ character). As well as developing returning characters and giving lesser known names time to shine. The narrative seamlessly weaves scientific principles with creative problem-solving as Senkuu and his team invent new technologies, like the primitive camera and a radar/sonar system, to aid their mission. One fascinating revelation occurs in Episode 4 when the existence of Why-Man is debated, introducing the threat of a new enemy. This discovery adds depth and suspense to the storyline, prompting Senkuu to develop advanced technologies, including a cathode-ray tube television screen and a metal detector. These advancements aid their journey and showcase the brilliance of the scientific minds at work. The characters face various barriers as the season progresses, from assembling a ship accurately to coordinating espionage into the new world’s elite. These challenges emphasize the importance of teamwork, which has and always has been Dr. Stone’s favorite theme. Each episode presents a new development that keeps you engaged and eager to see how Senkuu and the kingdom of science will overcome their current conflict. Dr. Stone balances its conflicts, serious scientific themes, and lighthearted humor. The characters’ quirks and comedic interactions are similar to SpongeBob (love it or hate it), adding an entertaining component to the series I adore. Despite their lovable goofball personalities, the characters remain dedicated and determined. If it wasn't clear enough by this season's funny Minecraft references (a record breaking amount for an anime?), this series knows it's target audience well. Introducing a new island and its inhabitants in the latter episodes adds another layer of intrigue to the narrative. The encounter with Amaryllis and learning she has a long-standing plan to steal the petrification weapon raise the stakes for our heroes. The storyline delves into her motivations, the significance of her engagement, and her willingness to join forces with Senkuu’s group. Senkuu’s strategic thinking and the group’s resourcefulness come to the forefront as they devise plans to infiltrate the island, acquire the green light, and rescue the petrified people. Joining forces with a member of the oppressive island shows how the kingdom of science didn't come to overtake the new world, only to find answers. To address the criticism that this season promotes colonization and imperialism: that seems far-fetched. Dr. Stone: New World primarily focuses on the spirit of exploration, mirroring the experience of embarking on an adventure in a survival video game. It’s important to note that there is no exploitation in this context. Dr. Stone: New World’s first part delivers an adventure story as captivating as ever with plenty of new scientific innovation, and entertaining character dynamics. Using remixed renditions of the previous soundtrack throughout the series adds familiarity and nostalgia. At the same time, the consistently catchy opening and ending theme songs contribute to the overall enjoyment value. Since it is an incomplete season, the ending of part 1 may leave you unsatisfied, so it may be advisable to catch up when part 2 airs. Fans of the first two seasons like me will be engrossed by these 11 episodes, eagerly following Senkuu and his allies as they navigate the challenges of un-petrifying the world.

As a fan of the first two seasons of Dr. Stone, this one was pretty disappointing. This season really glossed over the science, focusing instead on adventure, manipulation, mystery, characters, and action. But the science is really what makes this show special at all. What's left is a mid shonen. Although Dr. Stone was never very realistic in terms of how much effort things take, in the first season it still required a certain amount of determination to build the things based on the science. But in this part, Senku just pretty much throws things together by magic, and my bullshit tolerance has reached itslimit. Like when he needs something, he just pulls some chemicals out of his backpack and builds it on the fly. It completely skips the planning, acquisition of materials, building tools, engineering, etc. And the science behind it is also not explained completely. The animation is still good, maybe even a step up from earlier. Music is fine. We have some new characters which I'm fairly happy with. We already established Ryuusei from the special episode, and he shines here. Taiju is mostly absent. It feels like the plot is really moving forward. I haven't read the manga at all, but it feels like we are closing in on the main mystery. This is refreshing because a lot of shows just kind of go on without progress. It's a shame that it comes at the cost of science.
bossunhimeswitch
I'm a little disappointed that New World was not longer than 11 episodes but I understand why it is because the next section of story flows together so tightly it won't surprise me if the next installment of the anime might just go to the end of the manga. New World served as a bridge between what's come before and what's still to happen. It's a transitional period for the characters as they branch out away from places the first two seasons covered and off to what lies beyond. We get some new characters and retain a lot of the humor of the first twoseasons. However, it feels unfinished at the end like we're missing a second cour for a complete thought. That said, the characters are still easy to root for, Senkuu is still acting like some sort of 1950's adventure movie explorer/carpetbagger and it's fun to watch how he comes up with creative ways to bring both the good and bad of the modern era into the stone age future. However, some parts are a little slow and occasionally it feels like the story isn't moving forward, but it gets back on track quickly. I'm looking forward to October when we'll see our friends again

This review CONTAINS SPOILERS Review in English and Spanish Yes, this third season is the worst of Dr. Stone. But well, briefly, I want to explain what the first season was and why I think this way: At the time, when the first season came out, I remember that only the idea of the series caught my attention: humanity petrified and practically returned to the Stone Age, and the protagonist would have to save humanity by depetrifying everyone. It was a spectacular idea that immediately grabbed my attention, and it's true, I personally love the first season and recommend it to everyone. It feels like a breath offresh air in the shonen genre. It's interesting to see how the protagonist is rebuilding humanity from scratch. Apart from all this, the pace of the series never felt slow or too fast to me. The good OST and memorable moments like Christmas or when Senku climbed on top of the to chrome's house and illuminated it, or even when they made the cell phone—wow, that moment blew my mind. Not only making a cell phone in the middle of the jungle but also the whole process to achieve it. It was the only series that made me think about how much effort it takes to accomplish something, to what extent humanity has gone. And it also provides you with information that, on more than one occasion, left me thinking, "How interesting, let's see how they make this thing." (Well, I watched it a while ago, and it's true that not all explanations were interesting, and sometimes they explained things like making soap, but you get my point.) In summary, I've gone on too long, but the first season is fantastic. It has a good pace, a good OST, tremendous moments, few but well-developed characters like Senku, Kohaku, and Gen, among others that I may have missed, and they know how to handle the moments. I would really like to talk more about Senku and Kohaku, who I think are great characters, but I would go on for too long. My point is that what they tell me is INTERESTING. As you can see, I loved the first season, and unfortunately, the next season (Stone Wars) seemed quite average to me. At first, I liked the idea of two factions with different opinions and perspectives fighting each other, but in the end, it felt too much like a typical shonen, and that's not what I was looking for. I wanted it to return to being more like the first season, and in this season (New World), they leave all of that aside, and I said, "Well, NOW it's going to get good. It's going to be like the first season, right?" Well, now, after this long introduction, I'm going to comment on each episode and what I thought of this season: The first three episodes were entertaining, despite their illogical aspects. The second episode ends with Senku referencing the famous photo of Albert Einstein, and that moment was good, to be honest. But that's not relevant. I want to comment on two things from this episode. First, I have no idea how the hell he made a camera. He explained it to me and everything, but I said, "Well, whatever you say, Senku." And the second thing is when the girl approaches him and asks for a favor in exchange for nitroglycerin liquid (which she had). I thought the girl wanted a dildo, to be honest, the way she asked for it. I can't be the only one who thought that, please. Aside from those points, the exploration chapters with the cameras were not significant. Chapter three liked me at the time, but now that I finished the series, it left me indifferent. It was quite obvious that they were going to leave the subject aside, but I had faith that they would work more on the petrification theme. It was the first time they touched on it seriously with that cliffhanger at the end of the chapter. Except for that scene, the chapter was quite relaxed and entertaining, disregarding the ridiculous things that happened, like the boar pretending to be a friend and the chef who always seemed to have everything prepared. It felt like watching a childish cartoon where there aren't many explanations for the events, just for the sake of comedy. But honestly, it seems quite ridiculous to me (I didn't investigate much about it, but maybe it's because it's aired on Cartoon Network and they add these elements. I'm not sure). From chapter 4 onwards, I realized that this season was turning out to be very bad, to be honest. Saying that Senku is a walking Wikipedia falls short; he's a walking internet. The guy is not just a scientist; he is whatever the plot needs him to be: an engineer (in all branches and variations), a physicist, a mathematician, a DOCTOR (who even does medicine out of thin air on the ship in chapter 6, now he's a doctor), a nurse, WHATEVER THE PLOT NEEDS, Senku will be it. Calling him a walking Wikipedia falls way too short; he's a walking internet. This was somewhat true in the first season, but with a bit of chemistry and scientific stuff. But in this season, THEY WENT OVERBOARD. Senku is just too much. Going from one chapter to another, advancing to the industrial era as if it were nothing, pulling inventions out of nowhere. Senku, besides that, every two minutes of the chapter, they say, "Look, another discovery," and add some comedy. I don't know, it felt like they were speedrunning through the story. Where did the mystery from the previous season go? What about the interactions with the characters or the step-by-step discovery process, where you see them fail 500 times but keep trying, like in the first season? Here, there's a discovery every 3 minutes, and in one chapter, we jump to the industrial era. And if you blink for two seconds, we're already in the modern era. God, it's disgusting. In chapters 5 and 6, I officially realized that the adaptation was being bad. Everything felt rushed, especially the backstory of the bald guy on the ship (I don't remember his name) and the CGI ship. God, it looked horrible, THE SHIP, how ugly it was. And supposedly, it's something that appears briefly. What would it cost to animate it properly, even if it's just for the presentation? Speaking of the ship, it's an excuse to get rid of all the secondary characters and leave only the main characters on the ship. THANKFULLY, THIS HAPPENS because there were still too many secondary characters. In the first season, there were only a few standout characters, and there was time to develop them properly. In this season, it's like this: a character appears, says two sentences (maybe accompanied by a joke or not), and that's it. It's like they're showing you, "DON'T FORGET THIS CHARACTER. Look how funny it is," and then quickly move on to the next invention. We have 11 episodes, and we're not getting anywhere. WE'RE NOT GETTING ANYWHERE, COME ON. I'll comment on something positive while I'm at it. The ending song is awesome. At first, I didn't pay much attention to it, but after hearing it so many times, it's one of the best things about this season. The opening song isn't that bad either. Chapter 7: I honestly didn't expect someone to have a tool to petrify people, and it leaves me with several questions. But to be honest, at this point, I was quite disconnected from the series. They arrive on an island and talk to a girl from the island they encounter (Amaryllis). Coincidentally, they speak the same language despite crossing the sea, and they are literally 3000 years behind civilization. But hey, they speak fluent Japanese, of course. Speaking of the girl, she's completely expressionless. Poor thing, she's with people who come from another island, talking about the secret of petrification and wanting to steal that tool. Senku says a lot of things that she should have no knowledge of, and at no point does she show surprise or, at most, distrust. It's like she already trusts them right away. My god. Additionally, the island follows the same modus operandi as Senku's island, with the same tribe that seems to emerge in the same way as Senku's island. They even have the same BRIDGE! The characters even look alike. God, build something different, at least. There's the palace, which seems different, and the tribe that appears to be different. You could have different aesthetics for the tribe, make it more related to another religion with different customs. Make it more attractive. It seemed like poor writing to me. But the worst part is not this; the chapter ends with Senku pulling tear gas out of his back to use against the guards. He just pulls it out of thin air, like the microscope, which they explain is a recycled invention from one of the 500 inventions in chapter 3. But for me, there's no excuse. How is he so prepared? It's like he can predict the future, Senku. Horrible, really. Chapter 8 was terrible, not only because of what I mentioned earlier, that I was completely disconnected from the series, but also because the pace of the series was bad. The way the characters interacted and acted was horrible. Amaryllis doesn't ask anything at any point, NOTHING, not even where they got that gas or what Senku is talking about humanity and what he says. The rest of the chapter is humor... they need to make the other girl more feminine, and I don't know, I'm falling asleep. There's a lot of humor, but I didn't laugh in any scene. But well, humor was never the strong point of Dr. Stone, not even in the first season that they talk so much about. The thing is, they need the laboratory that's on the ship, which is taken by the island people, with heavy surveillance all over the ship. What does one of Senku's genius crew members, Ginro (remember, he was hiding because he didn't get petrified as he was outside the range of that petrification tool), do? HE JUMPS OUT OF THE BARREL and starts jumping with his arms open in the middle of all the surveillance, "HEY, I'M HERE!" he seems to shout, and then he hides because someone sees him. Of course, it's obvious, AND HE GETS AWAY WITH IT. I can't believe it. What am I watching? I mentioned it earlier, but this is very childish, like a cartoon for kids, with bad writing. And those bad guys who took over the ship are the typical generic bad guys from the tribe. I'm sure that at the end of the series, there might be some kind of evangelization or something. God, horrible chapter. Chapter 9 and 10: Equally horrible, both of them. At this point, I considered dropping the series, but then I realized I only had two more episodes left, so I made a final effort to finish it. In this chapter, they recover the laboratory. How do they do it? Suika infiltrates and manages the laboratory, being practically blind, and out of nowhere, she finds time to go to Ginro and take him away. And get this, NO ONE NOTICES. Nothing makes sense in this episode. It was quite unbearable, very childish, and predictable in many instances. Horrible chapter. The last episode... well, it was a finale. It sums up everything I said before. I lost all interest in what was happening. The character who appeared in the third chapter, which seemed like it would bring answers about the petrification, never showed up again. Instead, this horrible plot appeared that I didn't like at all. This season is the worst of Dr. Stone by a wide margin. If they announce another season, I won't be following it. I've completely lost interest in a series that I used to enjoy in the beginning 5/10 *Esta reseña CONTIENE SPOILERS* Reseña en inglés y español Así es, esta tercera temporada es la peor de Dr. Stone. 5/10

Dr. Stone has always been an anime that felt special since the day it premiered. There's something so fulfilling watching the foundation you made from dirt gradually start to take form as one of the most prominent figures in this stone world. The setting is made clear and perfect for those who want to reexplore the fascinating things of our world we have taken for granted. This season of Dr. Stone yet again delivers another entertaining and engaging story that elevated from its prequels. This time, they finally decided to find ways to get to their perpetrator in order to free mankind from eternal petrification. Justlike that, you're in for another round of innovation in which Senku somehow manages to dish out the best solutions without the concern of actually forgetting such facts to reach their objective. But any avid fan of Dr. Stone would care less about this issue, since the gratification of achieving the technology of our modern world is beyond the common flaw many have already noticed at this time. Other than that, it still managed to maintain its level of comedy, which I highly appreciate throughout all of the seasons of Dr. Stone. While I dislike the exchange for less scientific and more mediocre action sequences in Stone Wars, the animation in this season still leaves a bit to be desired, but going into depth of the venturing side of the story, they did a stellar job adapting this part of the story considering the pacing, flow, and setpieces. A major part of what has and will always make Dr. Stone interesting, at least to me is the feeling of discovery. We, as the audience are inserted into this story thanks to the Kingdom of Science, who are brought into a fantastic journey to unravel the mystery behind the petrification of humanity. The driving force behind these innovations, wonders, and creations has been our unrelenting thirst for knowledge. Our curiosity is beyond immeasurable, even the way they attempt to acquire it feels tempting to watch knowing how Science can produce these amazing creations. It is common that each and every one of us has the desire for inquisitive thinking, the eager desire to learn more of the stone world. The feeling of curiosity isn't initiated for the fun of it, but rather the anticipation of acquiring something new, the information becomes something of high value to us, especially those who are living in the Stone Age. The 3rd season of Dr. Stone has been nothing but a great source of entertainment. It has been quite fun following up with Dr. Stone up to this day, and yet I can't help but to crave more of it. I think I made it clear that in a way, this anime as a whole gravitated me to such a great degree. And honestly, I can't wait for more to come. Thank you for taking the time to read this review.

Dr. Stone is back, and it’s more of the “sciencey” goodness we have come to enjoy. After the events of the OVA, Senku and gang are venturing out to sea to the other side of the vast world, to try and understand more of the mysterious green light that petrified all of humanity. If you liked the previous seasons of Dr. Stone, there’s no reason to not like this one, as it’s most of the same shenanigans, but just in a different landscape. It continues to have a solid mixture of comedic elements and action elements, and a good amount of meme material to itas well. If you’ve watched this far into Dr. Stone, there’s a good chance it’s because you’ve found the world fascinating. The restarting of civilization, through creative, and often times, exaggerated use of science was quite an enjoyable premise. The goal of this cour of the series was to take strides in trying to find out who was behind the mysterious green light, and we do get some answers. While the first half of the cour was a bit slow in its buildup, the pacing quickened in the latter half to reveal some exhilarating things, and it progressed the story in quite a solid way. One thing I’ve always found a bit underwhelming, however, were the visuals. It’s not bad by any means, but it doesn’t really “pop out of the screen”, or have you left in awe by flashy animation. The real strong points of the art are the reaction faces, which are quite expressive to leave you with a little laugh at times. The music still remains decent, especially the opening and ending. Another thing that has gotten progressively glossed over as the story progressed is the creating of materials. With an increased pace of the story, the time spent on the creation of materials and devices became less and less, which I found made it a bit too “easy” for Senku and the gang to proceed in their mission. However, I also do understand that the story can’t use the same status quos forever, so its focus must change to better advance the plot, and it’s done that well. It’s sort of an exchange of sorts, we see less time spent on science, and more time spent on strategizing on how to defeat enemies, which isn’t inherently a bad thing, I just wish the creating of materials felt more “earned”, rather than just rushing through their creation. The big strong point of Dr. Stone to me are the characters, and the cast has been quite solid throughout the series. Senku is the ultimate driving force and mastermind behind the creating and strategizing, and the supporting cast around him all play their roles in driving the plot forward and to keep the fans engaged, rather it’s through comedy or suspense. There are quite a few characters that just haven’t done much though, such as Ruri, Taiju, or Yuzuriha, so to say the entire cast is interesting would not be fully accurate. The first cour of the third season of Dr. Stone has been a solid one, and one focused on exploring a new landscape, which provides a different type of intrigue than previous seasons, but still nails the fundamentals of what made this show popular in the first place, that being its silliness and the occasional tense moment. While there is some sacrificing of the science aspects, it's a trade off for more progression, so take that as you will. Cour two should bring us nothing but more excitement for what is to come in this new world, or as Senku would say, “This is exhilarating.”

Dr Stone's new world was quite the ride the plot does develop quite significantly , Personally I was a bit let down by the fact that most of science stuff was given a back seat for the more economical like the currency and petrochemical search and fantastical elements like trying to find mister X and the true secret behind petrification. The science was of course still present however most of it is glossed over or made oversimplified with a huge infodump that the show creators make it seem like “We won't understand” so they make Senku go all saiki kusou TLDR with his explanation while therest of the cast says “I am gonna pretend I didn't hear that because I (and the audience presumably) won't get it” don't insult your audience we would rather get taught than be told “you wont get it” in a roundabout way. Plot (6/10) This season had a better first half in my opinion, economics is Science as well , but mostly the social aspect of it , the search for petrochemicals and the Boar easter egg was quite well set , the second part of the petrification and whatnot is a bit too fantasy than science and a lot of jokes which are make light of beauty and the sciency stuff just happens outta thin air with little to no explanation almost all the time. The pacing is also so much faster (science wise i saw the forums saying that it is actually slow plot wise) which probably leads to most of the exposition and info dumps being half assed and it really does not help because most fans are looking for the same treat as was season1 fantasy aspect but with way more learning and science which very frequently takes the back seat this time around, The whole aspect of making the engine was glossed over , which was such a BUMMER! The comedy in general has also taken a big hit , mostly repeat gags and making fun at someone's expense which is usually mean rather than funny xD the art and animation being a bit weak also does not help with the comedic timing of certain scenes. Characters (9/10) The way Dr Stone handles its characters is honestly one of the best examples of how to keep new characters relevant without making the old ones fade like what I feel happened in Tensura. New characters are introduced and some of the old ones are set aside with a realistic touch of a few remaining behind because of the risky voyage. This allowed for a mostly refreshed cast for the voyage, an undeniable masterstroke since the number of characters was growing beyond a threshold. So to make sure that some of the new people remain special and actually get a decent enough spotlight and to introduce characters with newer abilities and not pull it out of the ass of the old ones a soft reset was made with this voyage arc while we can be assured that we will be back with old ones with a reunion to look forward too! Art and animation (7/10) The comedic slapstick and transitional art is all gone for the most part ! one good thing to take is the artstyle does remain consistent and unique like the last time but the facial expressions do not change as much as the first time around and the emotional aspects are also just glossed over with not much depth or beauty added to the scene or character in question , this would be okay in general but compared to the first 2 it is a big downgrade , if you compare senku finding out about his father, magma’ s sacrifice, and soyuz’s climactic reveal , they hardly hit the same due to the art being lackluster in the latter. Animation is ramped up only in places where their importance is felt, rest is average, scenes like the old man drip and balloon adventure do have some good art which is season1 level of quality. Sound and VA (8/10) This aspect of the anime is on par of what we expect in doctor stone , mostly it does not get complimented perfectly by the art however , the ost is mostly the originals i could not genuinely make out any original to this season ost but IG it must be their in rare instances and i missed it , the OP is pretty good and quite the banger and can proudly stand in front of its season1 counterparts. Overall its still dr stone , but it's a bit of a focus shift and that could either just be a small nuisance to a deal breaker depending on the type of viewer , me personally I recommend it with no issue to the previous audience.
