Synopsis
After his confrontation in the Nether with his younger brother Shou, Shinra Kusakabe's resolve to become a hero that saves lives from the flame terror strengthens. Finding a way to turn the Infernals back into people, unraveling the mystery of the Evangelist and Adolla Burst, and saving his mother and Shou—these are the goals Shinra has in mind. However, he has come to realize that attaining these goals will not be easy, especially with the imminent danger the Evangelist poses. The Evangelist's plan is clear: to gather the eight pillars—the individuals who possess Adolla Burst—and sacrifice them to recreate the Great Cataclysm from 250 years ago. Having been revealed by the First Pillar that the birth of a new pillar is approaching, Shinra is determined to protect his fellow pillars from the Evangelist. Thus, the fiery battle between the Special Fire Force and the Evangelist ignites. Together with the Special Fire Force, Shinra's fight continues as he uncovers the truth about the Great Cataclysm and the nature of Adolla Bursts, as well as the mysteries behind human combustion. SPOILER ALERT] The second season of fire force shows us how much a story can evolve from one hour to the next, both in terms of character narrative and in the plot that in overall improved everything that was good in the first season PLOT: This season we see the 8th encountering more challenges in relation to the evangelist. It is shown that the evangelist is after 8 people who have Adolla Burst (Pillars Calls), to complete their plans, which in overall is cliché 'want to dominate / destroy the world', but this cliché story shown to us by the author is passed in agood way that shows us how she seeks to get these pillars, showing that she not only wants to bring the pillars to her side but seeks to protect them too, so much so that in a part of the story we are shown an ally of the evangelist protecting Shinra just so that he does not die to the completion of the evangelist's plans. [Grade: 8] CHARACTERS: Compared to the first season, where we are not shown much character development this second the characters are developed in a way that we learn to like the characters, as the author shows that the characters have an ambition or simply want to be better to seek answers from this world, the improvement is good compared to the first but it is not a huge improvement do not go expecting that all the characters will be developed equally, but it is already an advance compared to the first. [Grade: 7] FANSERVICE: In relation to tamaki, the fanservice is extremely unnecessary at times and is even tedious, because in crucial moments for the story where we have characters being presented, someone simply trips over something nonexistent and is naked, something that could be discarded would be this unnecessary fanservice. [Grade: 5] ART: In overall, the art of this animal is exceptional, beautiful and fluid traits, the studio was able to improve on the first one, which was already beautiful, it could improve in a few ways, but it is extremely difficult to notice any wrong traits or animation, both in fights and in moments where our main characters are just talking to each other. [Grade: 9] OVERALL: The anime has improved over its last season, leaving a hype for its next one. [Grade: 9]

Although Shinra is super fast, the anime has a pacing that lacks enthusiasm for their watchers Enen no Shouboutai is a modern classic in my view, because it wasn't afraid to explore new ways of narrative, and joint universes. But the anime seems to not having this in mind and focusing in great animations. This is major a problem because, if even the story uses action and fights as medium to the progress, the truly narrative progress are made by dialogues and plot twists that they offered using the characters (like Shou being alive in first season and stuff like that). So this second season we'resupposed to see some narrative progress, but actually, they delivered only action progression. This isn't bad, but isn't good knowing what will happen in the future (last scene gives a hint). It's not for everyone. The anime doesn't have great fights like Kimetsu no Yaiba or Fate:Zero, or neither have a great plor like Monster or Shingeki no Kyojin. But still, it's a great anime with great characters and have an overall quality pretty high though.

We are facing what is the 2nd season of Enen no Shouboutai, an Anime for which from the beginning I had a relationship of Love and hate for the program but that despite everything has pulled me until the end of its sequel. During its first season of airing, choose to accept and justify many situations out of context such as undeveloped characters, comedy at inappropriate times, a bad rhythm of the story, etc. But he maintained that he could redeem himself from these mistakes and begin to shape a good foundation for his series in this second season, now let's see, this finally happened thistime? Well, let me tell you NO. Although the program has begun to dig deeper into its plot and know how to exploit with some of its revelations, it still lacks substance and in truth the series seems not to know what to be of itself, let me explain. Obviously we are facing a shonen demographic with the genre "Nekketsu" (action, battles, etc) at its core, Now, the problem lies in how soon your main weapon (which are fights) starts to become simply boring and this is due to that mostly the context in which it is carried out is not optimal, example: "What good is it for me to see a battle for 3 chapters to save a pillar that does not even want to be saved?" "What is the objective of destroying the primary / secondary Characters if they never give a sense of danger towards them, since the only ones to die are mere tertiaries or even NPCs whose only function is to see them die? How do you expect me to empathize with the characters in question, when can we merely remember their names due to how little work is done on them? ... Anyway, I could go on citing examples but these are enough. In order to close, even so, I want to mention the pillars that have given life and the very possibility of continuing to be broadcast, which are the animation and the sound that kept the program afloat. However, I already gave 48 chapters to a franchise that does not seem to have much more than what has already been shown and it is simply difficult to settle for just a "nice staging" so on my part this will be the last of Fire Force in me. to have... Well, Fire Force is a new guilty pleasure of mine. It's a deeply flawed series, that's at the same time weirdly enjoyable... Maybe because it's made by David and they know how to make a fight-focused series? Compared to the 1st season, not really much changed. A lot of cons of that one stayed: story is overally pretty ok, but sometimes characters will just run into a solution of a problem. Pretty much EVERY plot point is given to the characters, instead of being earned, for example bad guys have a weird habbit of explaining mysteries to the heroes. On the good site, middle 3 arcs (Inca, Chinaand Joker/Benimaru) are actually enjoyable and don't feel forced (for the most part). But.... Characters are just as dumb as previously. Arthur is basically a big child, Shinra is boooring (i aint a demon, i am a HERO!), rest of the cast doesn't really matter. Viktor and Vulkan feel like characters taken straight out of Soul Eater (and yeah, it's a compliment). But a lot of the main cast just don't get screen time. Maki is the biggest wasted potential, alongside captain (a power-less character that will just chop you with an axe?? i want more!). Tamaki's development is just bullshit writing - she suddenly became priestess (xD). 50 episodes and we still dont know what her powers are about. I know, she looks like cat - but WHY and for WHAT reason? I still cant stand fanservice. There's *less* of that here, but it's still fckn abnoxious. A serious scene? Yeah, let's have some BOOOBS BOIIIS. At least Tamaki is no longer molested (if not r**ped, like previously...) every second scene. Art - during non-action scenes, it's simple. And what's with those blank faces? They appear way too often and are way too distracting. And the weird thing is that they don't appear only on the background characters, but also on the front... Fights- ok, this is really why we're still watching it. Fights are, as always, increadibly enjoyable, mostly due to the animators, not the story. I dunno why, but David's fight (goes for JoJo too) just have an amazing sound design (not sound track, but sound desing - and a lot of other animation studios forget about it). Every punch, flame, exmplosion has that crisp, powerful sound effect to it. Maybe David has access to some other base of sounds or they hired another team just for the sake of making sounds in their basement? I don't care, as long as they keep those deep, bass sounds whenever someone is punching other people's faces. Overall - 8 (compared to 7 i gave s1). I will probably forget about this shonen in few months, but so far - i have fun watching it. Perfectly fine if you have spare 20 minutes and want some low effort enjoyment.

Season 2 is a significant step down from season 1 in just about every aspect. The action lacked the same oomph, the story lacked the same drive, purpose, and sense of suspense, mystery, and revelations, the characters lacked the same progress and moments (save for Juggernaut and Maki), and the pacing lacked the same satisfaction. The art is probably the only thing that's the same, though I wasn't ever a fan of the stylized parts (eg, certain characters' eyes). It's actually kind of odd how the in-your-face fanservice was one of the things that detracted least. The pacing is probably what's the most wrong asa majority of the season felt like filler, despite many moments that dragged were also pretty necessary for the story. And on the other end of the spectrum were key moments that were quick but over too soon. Whereas season 1 left me thoroughly entertained and pumped, this season left me with a pretty meh feeling. I really wanted to like this more.

First off, I want to put it out there that I really really like this anime and this is also my first review. However, this season fell short to me in terms of mainly plot so much that I had to make this my first review and I’ll explain more below. SPOILERS AHEAD! Plot: 4/10 The storytelling this season felt really messy. It felt a lot like a number of arcs were just following the exact same script but with different characters (go on a mission, white clads appear, fight, climax about destroying the whole area, plot armour saves the day) and not a huge amount ofdevelopment in the story in general. Also, the arcs didn’t feel like they related to one another that well probably mainly because the transitions were done pretty badly. Just generally, in my opinion the pacing for this season was worse compared to the first season because some of the arcs felt wayyyy too drawn out (like the sixth pillar, haijima and Chinese peninsula arc). But they were enjoyable for some of the fight scenes and comedy. Add kids on the slope to anime list Characters: 6/10 This time we got a couple fun new characters (excluding Maki’s brother, he was pretty annoying) and we got some development on some of the old characters which was nice (especially on Joker, his story was really well done). However, I have to point out the elephant in the room which is Tamaki. Her character feels more like wasted potential to me because all she does is exist for fan service. Yes, we did finally get her backstory but them somehow trying to make the whole lucky lecher thing into a tragic past thing was very awkward and because of that I couldn't take it seriously at all. I mean at least she did get *some* development that’d hopefully help out in the next season. Art and animation: 10/10 Absolutely stunning as usual. The visuals are to die for, easily one of the best in current running shonen and the fights are amazing. David’s production did really great work on this. Sound: 9.5/10 The sound effects are really great also, maybe on the same level as the visuals. Only downside is I’d say I didn’t really like any of the openings or endings this season that much compared to the first. Overall: 6.6/10 It was really enjoyable for the most part but the plot, Tamaki and pacing issues make it very hard to give it a stronger score.

Holy shit. What the fuck happened? Season 1 was probably the most meh shounen anime experience you could have, and with a few weird directing choices, overdrawn awkward jokes, long pauses, disturbing music, it just all mashed up into a messy behemoth. But it was enjoyable, like most of its genre, its nice to just watch something for fun. I went into season 2 without many expectations. However, it blew me away. Everything just climbed 3 steps up for some reason. The humour, the music, the dialgoue, the story progression, the world building. Suddenly this went from a run of the mill shounen to somewhat of aclassic. Also, episode one. If you know, you know. The Adolla link sequences are amazingly visualized, the glitchy music sequences, the dialogue. Shinra isn't a bonehead and I genuinely like him. Captain Obi. The story progression was quick and to the point, no unnecessary stretching. The humour actually hits this time - it's sprinkled in just the right way to make this unique. I was VERY impressed with this season, and I hope this quality transfers to the next one as well. Really hyped.

Fire Force is a very nice anime to just appreciate amazing visuals and overall action and humor. I think this second season was not as good as the first one, but that's because every original aspect of the series had already been shown. Most episodes follow a guide: Slow beginning with casual jokes and fan service, followed by a weird problem, followed by a fight scene, followed by a conclusion. Lorewise, Fire Force is just not good. Things don't seem to progress at any time. Main villains never die, and secondary villains always end up dying to showcase a character's new ability or something. Animationis easily the best aspect of the show, and the characters are all very likeable.

Remembering back when season one dropped, out of nowhere, with no build-up or expectations, solely with its unique and attractive premise, fighter fighting Shounen where they fight fire with ... fire. It was enough to spike people's interest and hook them on an objectively mediocre seasonal fest that lasted for the while it did, with no outstanding or memorable perspectives to speak of, it was just another seasonal show like many others before it, but unlike most of them, it got a second season due to its popularity in which it changed a few things here and there for the better, making a mediocre show amore decent one that almost sits through the average seasonal crap everyone would be meme-ing about and the absolutely amazing show that fuel character wars in the fandom. Story (7.5/10): The show retains its fast-paced nature that was prominent during the first season, however, it never jumps off the context and always gives enough highlights over the important plot threads that need attention. The story knew some twists here and there, changing the perspective of the viewers on the entire universe of the show, reconfiguring the good and the bad sides, and fueling more conflicts between the two. Surprisingly, this season felt more narratively compact as it focused on what's important more than the casual comedic dropouts that often ruined climaxes in the first season (Looking at s1 Tamaki specifically). Art (8.9/10): The visual sugar was on par with the masterful production of season one. David Studio really is throwing some enormous budget on this show. There were more highly animated scenes than not, some of which rival modern movies in quality. The expressions have never been this lively, the colors look more vibrant and alive and the fire animation, in the words of lady Agness, got more firey if you will. Sound (8/10): The voice acting was very good this season. Especially Tamaki's, Shinra, and dear God, Dr. Geovanni. The production team nailed sound design in season one and they never showed any signs of slacking off this season too. The SFX are very fitting, intense, and highlight every moment of impact and combustion, at this point, I wish lighting up a tighter would sound as badass as fire sounds in the show. The openings were great, especially the first one, and vice versa for the endings. Seriously, the second ending song rivals season one's first ending theme song. Characters (7.5/10): There were undeniably more character moments this season. More of my complaints of which regard completely turned to compliments as I 100% started watching this season with 0 expectations for seeing any improvements in what concerns character development and such. Tamaki was amazing this season, her growth really highlighted her journey thus far, no more complaints about her, I mean, her random fan service moments are still just as strong but they seem to have gotten a better grab for better timing and execution. Enjoyment (8.4/10): I would be lying if I said I did not like this season better than I did the previous one, it's an objectively better production, better storyboarded and directed, the humor seemed to have improved and the backstories really did not take from the actions and were properly placed and called for at the right moment. Unlike season one, it definitely makes you wish for a third season. Overall (8.06/10): This is how a sequel should improve. Enen no Shoboutai shows a lot more potential in this one, not that it didn't in the first season, it definitely had something but it lost it somewhere mid-season, however, with this crazy comeback of a sequel, it restored and even built more on top of what it originally presented, expanding on the lore, normalizing and improving the main cast's treats and overall improving accordingly in every way.

Fireforce Ni No Shou is the second season and continuation of the anime based off the manga of the same name by Atsushi Okubi. It continues straight after the first season's storyline where we are introduced to giant infernals that take are a lot harder to take down, while fireforce company 8 takes down these infernals and go on various missions, they stumble upon the white clad and the Evangelist that have started to set their plans into action, now fireforce company 8 along with the majority of the companies team up to take down the Evangelist once and for all. While this season doeshave some better fight scenes than the first one, ultimately this second season is an inferior product compared to it's predecessor. This season feels more like its a setting stage for the final confrontation of the fire soldiers and the evangelist rather than a continuation of the story, not to mention that I'm not hyped at all for season 3 nor their final battle if anything watching this season felt tedious, boring and annoying, I didn't feel that same satisfaction and entertainment that I felt from watching season 1, hell this season even made me consider dropping the show as a whole. It has the same jokes, same problems, same cliches that the first season has which applies to every shounen lol like power of friendship and give me power to protect my loved ones lmao, but back on topic this time it was done way worse than before. There were times when I was putting off watching episodes off this season, and I could have reviewed this last night but I didn't because I just didn't feel like it, looking on the bright side tho there are some fight scenes from this season that I enjoyed more than the first one, like the guy with tephrosis and Shinra vs Nataku Son, Juggernaut vs the two white clad guys, Joker and the company 4 captain vs the temple of Sol and of course the training arc on the last few episodes was also good, unfortunately these little moments that I liked ultimately did not manage to save this tragic garbage of a season. I also noticed that this season tried to speedrun it's source material and let me tell you that just doesn't work, the pacing in this season was just bad, which is a shame since the first one's pacing matched perfectly with the show's tone and atmosphere, while the second season's facing just didn't work out for it. Pros: -Greater fight scenes Cons: -Horrible pacing -Shit OP and ED -Tried to make another season one but failed really hard -Story didn't progress instead acted as a lackluster setting stone for a future battle that's most likely not going to be executed properly anyway -Ultimately ended up being more of a generic shounen than it's predecessor which is feat of it's own -Failed in trying to hype up the audience for the inagural third season -Less entertaining and fulfilling to watch -Got boring -Lackluster story -The new characters they introduced where not good they were just annoying -Shittier animation -Recycled the same troupes and cliches of the shounen genre Overall Fireforce Season 2 is a failure of a second season to a already mediocre shounen series, unfortunately this season has ultimately made everything that was salvageable about the first season dissapear for me, and now I'm strongly thinking about dropping this anime as whole. This season was a waste of time and some anime viewers may have even dropped this show by now, since let's face it if you don't stop watching by this point then you just have shit taste and enjoy dogshit anime. I give Enen No Shouboutai: Ni No Shou a 5/10 for my overall anime rating.

I feel like the only people I see talking about Fire Force outside of Fire Force forums are those who dropped it in or shortly after the first cour. And they always do it with such a weird tone, like they're opinion on the entire anime is definite and final. I mean I kind of see why it's heavily dropped among certain types with the way Ookubo writes things at the start, but SEASON 2 SO GOOD THOUGH like the story actually started getting really interesting, we got some great character development, coming back to previous events, solving mysteries, getting answers, going to C H IN A, and cute Tamaki/Iris/Maki moments. I noticed that the story is actually super well planned out; arcs are based off events from other arcs, revelations and twists make sense when thought about, and characters get stronger only when they really try to, not just when they need it. Just like the first season DavidPro could not have made a better adaption, everything is handled excellently and beautifully, and I'm personally very partial to stylization like they use it here. The second OP for this season is a BANGER! And Inferno for the finale's end credits tops it off nicely. Overall I found the second season markedly better than the first, which isn't saying a ton but it's really really good.

The second season is finally over, so what did we achieve throughout 24 episodes? Well not that much... We continue from where we left off the first season as the 8th company tries to unravel more mysteries about the goal of the White Clads. And at the same time, trying to fight them to protect the Empire. It's pretty much the same as the first. We still have multiple arcs, training episodes, some greatly-animated fight scenes, and our cast having spotlight moments for their character developments. The thing that frustrates me in this second season is that the quality goes up and down most of the time. There were true moments of climax and greatness but it dragged on in some parts and it didn't felt like we had a true climax. Which means the payoff for watching 24 episodes of the show doesn't feel redeeming for some people. In the case of sound, the OST and the BGM is still solid for Fire Force. The OP's & ED's are much more better-made this season with SPARK-AGAIN being my favorite of the 4 as it evokes hype and excitement each time when an episode begins, also the OP animation was really great. David Production didn't let us down with the art as it's just as solid and high quality than ever, you can tell they put a lot of effort half of the time. The characters of the show, they're still there. Almost all of the cast from the first had some minutes that are important to the story. And some of them had their time in the spotlight to spark and shine, receiving some considerable character development. Also the villains/antagonists were decent as well, each presenting some hard challenge to our characters this season. To sum this all up, I gave so many chances for this season. I didn't felt like I witnessed a great sequel but it was also not enough to say that it has become a mediocre series that deeply wasted my time. What saved this season is its great production quality, banger theme songs and the story still having its flair to interest me. What doomed this season is its inconsistent pacing, drowned out arcs and minimal progress from the first season, which was the true letdown for Fire Force this time around. Overall, it is still a good show that manages to keep me interested amidst all of its flaws. I really hope the third season will be the true masterpiece that this anime series really needs, cause at this moment it only manages to surpass the first by a short distance.

Enen no Shouboutai: Ni no Shou (2020) A fantastic second season taking us to the current area around the Manga. Of course, that means this ends on more of a continuation note as opposed to an epic climax but shows much promise with an after credit scene to the show definitely coming back in the future to finish this saga. During this season we get some pacing issues in that it can be a tad slow but that is more than made up by more than one explosive climax to the story as it progresses through. This time also takes a much darker turn with thecombat getting to a point of much deadlier and graphic outcomes. We also get some great characters with crazy abilities to come forward and old ones who finally let go of what held them back moving forwards. The line between who is in the right becomes very blurred, especially since in episode 10 without spoiling it I can totally understand Amaterasu now. The art on this as a whole is brilliant and well done to an extremely high standard. It is almost like a live comic book at times which is marvellous on the eyes to see. Where it loses itself is the ED art on the ED in both instances since it does change and is appalling. I know they wanted to do something different but that was too far the wrong way. Examples like Tamaki as she progresses shows the excellence of the art as it goes through. The exception to the bad ending art is the final episode which was a really nice way out. The soundtrack for OP 1 and 2 are of an amazing standard and are very much listen to anytime songs. The ED songs are both great but not as impactful, maybe let down by the reminder of the weird art that went with them. Generally, the sound is excellent and has such great depth that you can feel it especially with surround sound. Character all develop in great ways to the ones we care about. Some minor faces come forward to the front of seeing development to an unexpected level. I loved Juggernaut during this season and Tamaki who is adorable with intense development. The best good girl is Tamaki. The best bad girl is a three-way split between Haumea, Inca and Ritsu. We also have the cute but insanely crazy cool Hikage and Hinata twins. The most badass of the season was Joker the best character going in some ways. At the end aside from some pacing issues and the odd ending art, we have a strong season that comes out pretty damn high. You also have an after credit scene that leaves much to be wanted in a season 3 which will hopefully one day come. One day just maybe we will see the eyes of Ritsu and Haumea. 9/10.

** spoiler free, brief summary ** 1. Story is huge downgrade from first season. Side characters got way too much space and the main characters progress got left behind, which is not always wrong, but there it's over the top. I can't say I enjoyed the story. 2. art is great and I have enjoyed every fight. 3. sound is good and I can't say anything wrong I guess. 4. Characters are very good and they are pretty complex so I can understand, why they had so much space in the story.Over all I have enjoyed some parts of anime, but it's not like I can recommend it

WTF, that's it......we're gonna have to wait if season 3 arrives, will there even be one???? So: Story: Pros: It did gave us as to what we expect , which is the continuation of the sequel as to how that adolla link shit of some kind Cons: The rest were just somekind of random shit, where it involves any that can make this series as slow as possible like that Shinra and Arthur has to go in the hands of that Shinono guy.Verdict: 5 over 10 Art: Pros: There is that usual Tamaki fanservice, a few Maki shower service and some manservces as well. Cons: The overall illustration were still too dirty and unkept. Verdict: 3 over 10. Sound: Pros: The first opening theme was superb , but the 2nd opening theme is just lame as hell. Cons: The usual seiyuus who did them characters. Verdict: 5 over 10. Characters: Pros: Introduction of new characters in the 8th and new additions to them White Clads. Cons: The same Shinra and Arthur bickering and the usual Tamaki getting to be the village stripper.... Verdict: 5 over 10. Enjoyment: Pros: It was fun to watch.....but. Cons: When you get to the finale, I felt disappointed that it ended in a cliffhanger, when we're gonna have to wait for another sequel. Verdict: 3 over 10. Overall: 3 over 10. It was a major disappointment, when we're left with something that can be called as a cliffhanger...... LATOM!!!!

Fire Force is such a fun anime, it has some issues but is one fun ride. I really enjoyed the first season but I know it had its issues. Season 2 improves on those issues but they are still present. One flaw I noticed with the second season was just consistency which I will explain later in the review. Story: 6.5 So the story is there, Fire Force has a good bit of hidden lore of how the world came to its current state which is good. But overall the storytelling isn't very consistent. Some episodes are fantastic and amazing whereas others kinda just trudged along. Iunderstand the author sorta writes like that but with some episodes it the whole direction of the episodes felt like different people. (Side note Tamaki still exists so fanservice is there from her, it didn't feel like it was during big moments IIRC but if you were a fanservice hater before your gripes will still stay.) Art: 9.5 I think the art may have gotten a little worse from season 1. Season 1 did a fantastic job and season 2 wasn't able to fully recapture that same magic. Granted it still is amazing but sometimes the little things just seem a little off (Granted this was with a few episodes) Sometimes movement felt a little lazy but this was just certain moments from some episodes. Sound: 9 Sound is hard to review for me but overall the sound FX felt realistic and was well done. And the musical score was pretty good. Character: 6.5 Characters are decent some of them are pretty tropey ie the hero, the dumbass & the badass op dude girls like. This season focused more on new characters so we got to see their abilities so that was cool. The characters already introduced did get some development like Maki, Juggernaut and even Tamaki. Enjoyment: 9 Like I said in the beginning this is one fun anime. This was my top anime of the summer season week in and week out I never missed an episode. I love the action of the show some characters are really cool. Overall 8.25 This season was a small improvement from its last season. It did a lot of things season 1 missed the mark on. I don't have too much to say that I didn't mention before on why I give it this score. (And as a message to all the self titled "Elitist critics" This show is at least like a 5 using the Mal rating system (If you use a different one why are you even on Mal?) Cause even if you dislike the story and characters, the art and sound are objectively good so anything below a 5 or average by Mal is just bizarre.)

A noticeable improvement upon the first season. When I saw that the second season of Fire Force was coming out, I reluctantly decided that I would give it a go. I had a very mixed reaction to the first season. It had some great animation, sound design, and world-building, but was held back because of bad framing, poorly written characters, and eye-rolling fanservice. I am happy to say that this season made great strides to correct those mistakes. The season starts off a little slow as we are still dealing with Infernals that are supposed to a threat, but everyone watching knows they don’t matter. Whilethe beginning of the season is pretty on par with last season, the moment I became hooked was on episode 12 where we get arguably the best episode of the entire series. After that point, it is just banger episode after banger episode for most of the season. There is a lot more action in this season against the Evangelists (the actual entertaining villians) which keeps the episodes pleasing to watch. There are also new characters introduced that are actually somewhat interesting and some fan favorite characters like Joker receive some great backstories. Hell, even the fanservice is more enjoyable in this series, as it is toned down some and used in a way unique to this series. Speaking of such, this season really carved Fire Force an identity separate from similar Shounen series. It doesn’t take itself too seriously and just tries to have fun. This season embraces the wacky and over-the-top nature of its source material, like it tells the viewer “Yes, we will show you flashy action scenes every episode, then give you some shameless fanservice and you will like it”. And I’ll be damned, but I really did like it. Now, obviously my rating for this season is a 7 not 10, so I do have some problems with it. It does start out pretty slow, with my rating at some point being a 5 out of 10. They still pad out episodes with characters not making obvious decisions in fights that could easily end them. Also the fanservice can occasionally be way too overt and unlikable like in season one. But overall, I was pleasantly surprised with how this season turned out. It surpassed my expectations and I am looking forward to watching season 3 when (and if) it comes out. It is closer to a 6 than an 8

Wow, it has been a great ride with you guys. I really enjoyed every episode on it and i can say that this season was amazing! Let's start with the story. For the story, The story of this show is very unique and makes me curious about the continuation of each episode. That's how I feel in every episode. Their adventure to find answers to their every question makes me like this story, plus the main character in this show is very determined to be a great hero. For the art and sound, I gave it 9. To be honest, I like how they make the soundof the fire from each character have a unique sound and sound like blazing. And for the animation/art, every scene looks so alive with so many details on it, and the colors look very colorful, making this show amazing. For the character, every character in this show is very likable, not only the main characters but supporting characters and villains can also be very liked. The story of a character's past, or a character's development from nothing to something, attracted my attention to exploring the roles of each character in this show. And as I mentioned earlier, the main character has high spirits, and his unyielding spirit is so fun to watch. It depends on each person, how they take the important points of each character in certain shows. Overall, every enjoyment I had while watching this show really paid off, every episode is worth waiting for, and if you still don't want to continue this season because the answers might not be convincing, then I will tell you that this season is worth watching. And one more thing, I'm glad I found this show opening theme by accident, or else I might not be watching this masterpiece show.

It’s been my view for a long time now that Fire Force is the best new gen shonen. Even without D. Pro’s amazing work on the anime, the story, characters, mystery and world are all very rich and well done. The second season builds on an already outstanding first season and turns everything up a notch. As we’ve come to expect from David Production, the animation, fights, sound production and OST are amazing. Every fight is not only choreographed well, but also features eargasmic sound production. Pacing is just great as well. Story wise, this season is really where Fire Force gets going in terms of unravellingthe mystery of human combustion, the white clads and the Evangelist. Many of the questions you may have had after watching season 1 will be explained in this season. Side characters like Maki and Tamaki get sorely needed development arcs as well as introducing new faces. Overall, Fire Force S2 takes an already impressive anime to the next level, giving characters much needed layers of development, answering important lore questions, fleshing out a rich world and incredible action sequences. Season 2 of FF gets 10 Adolla Links, out of 10.

We all know the timeless adage of "the sequel is in every way", right? Unfortunately for such run-of-the-mill Shounen series a.k.a Fire Force, Season 1 provided mangaka Astushi Oobuko's signature touches from Soul Eater, and it's more cliche boringness with pacing that hurts the first impressions of both anime and manga fans. Fast forward a year later, and with this sequel season, David Production has improved a lot of the shoddy practices with Season 1 by taking them out and replacing them with better pacing and storytelling, How? Let's pursue and SPARK-AGAIN once more. Continuing where Season 1 left off with Shinra findingout the real truth of the dealings of the Evangelist and White-Clads', and as such with the tragic tale of his family and brother Sho (who's pretty much a puppet of the spokesman figure), the hero boy of Company 8 continues to dive deep into the world of Infernals and Adolla Links, and figure out a plan with the other suspicious Companies (not covered yet in Season 1) before the plan of the Evangelist ultimately takes precedence: being to gather the "8 Pillars" of Adolla Bursts to repeat the events of the Great Cataclysm once again, all while clearing out nuisances and stubs along the way. And right here, where Season 2 has a more grounded back-to-form storyline, is thanks to fellow David Production director Tatsuma Minamikawa who's replacing Season 1 director Yuki Yase, and pulling double-duty with doing both director and series composition duties. Though much-needed slower pacing than Season 1, you can tell that it's following the mangaka's storyline quite well, and although some areas were not quite as succinct as I would hope, at least it's a much better effort that while isn't helping fans both old and new click with and away from the overly-Shounen tropes, it is what it is, and paired together with David Production's stellar quality, makes for a much more enjoyable watch IMO. New to Season 2 is of course, more characters that may have varying levels of screentime in Season 1, but their character developments are fleshed out for the better. The stories and characters as follows: - The innocent schoolgirl-turned White-Clad Inka, to the Chinese Peninsula arc of Company 2's Takeru Noto a.k.a Juggernaut's home country and the weird case of talking animals with more Amaterasus/Tabernacles popping in their original case of creepiness. - More of the elusive and controversial practices of the Holy Sol Temple with Joker and Benimaru's investigations, to the reveal of Victor Licht's spy role that sends Company 8 off to the Haijima Industries arc of child experimentations gone awry with fire wielder Nutaku Son (under the influence of Rekka) and trainer Kurono (dubbed the Uncle Reaper). - Going deep into the personal stuff with Sister Iris's intentions of the recent happenings and her affiliation with the Church, THAT ONE hilarious but stupid short chapter on Assault and Tamaki's "battle" of fanservice, and Maki's family upbringings that caused a huge family rift of over-protection for such a valuable comrade in Company 8. - To end things up, Companies 2 and 8 again collaborating in the Nether and facing off the creepy Dr. Giovanni and White-Clads, to more training sessions, along with Juggernaut's and Tamaki's breakthrough of "my character is stupidly weak, so I wanna surpass my limits here and now!" (You can count on the former, but definitely not the latter, unless you want her to thank you in her "Lucky Lecher" syndrome.) Personally, I found it easier to stomach this season's same 2-cour offering that's densely packed into a fine package that only gets better in its progression. Still not great, but at least everything this time around is refined. And of course, how can I talk about the sequel season without the animation and OST to back things up. If you know David Production by now, their recent works (and YES, including Season 1, no matter how much love-hate relationship this show gets) have been pretty good and not having the studio commit to more than 2 shows simultaneously airing (plus Fire Force, duh) is a good predicament of the high-octane consistent quality that's being pumped out and giving the animation staff some space to breathe and deliver some amazing scenes and shots throughout. In the sound department though, while Season 1's OST is infinitely better than the offerings we got this time, at least there are some quality songs that are great on repeated listens on Spotify (a.k.a Aimer's "SPARK-AGAIN" and PELICAN FANCLUB's "Desire", but sorry KANA-BOON, "Torch of Liberty" gets a pass from me). If there's one thing I can take away from this sequel, it's that IMO, Firecat Tamaki's "fanservice" was "birthed out of necessity" for character development, and though haters will lament this, it kinda services as "justice" for the tremendous amounts of hate thrown at her from her very first nauseating reveal in Season 1. The anime is much recommended over the manga, but that goes without saying how watchers would recommend people for this show to experience Fire Force at its very best. All in all, Season 2 is the definitive version of the show and a definite improvement overall. Certain expectations met or not is up for debates, but I'd like to think that we all know what to expect by now.
