Synopsis

After reliving the life of a high school student through the ReLIFE experiment, 27-year-old Arata Kaizaki cannot believe how quickly it has changed him. He has begun to see the world through a different perspective that he had completely forgotten as an adult. He has made friends and formed deep relationships with each one of them. However his support, Ryou Yoake, reminds him that the experiment is all an illusion; after his experiment ends, he will be forgotten by all of them. The experiment of another ReLIFE subject is also coming to an end. After spending two years with ReLIFE, Chizuru Hishiro has developed into a more open, more thoughtful person than she could have ever imagined. She has met people who have changed her life, her perspective, and ultimately her. However, now that their ReLIFE is coming to an end, will they be able to let go of the memories they have made? The specials took everything that was good about the first season and removed everything that wasn’t. Although rushed, it manages to condense the emotional meat and bones into a tight, well written love arc. With a foundation of likeable characters and a season 1 that was already building their relationship, the show manages to completely ditch Kariu and Oga, which is a great relief. Aside from a decent ending, Kariu’s arc in season 1 was a pain to get through, filled with anime cliches and contrived conflicts. I do think Oga is a good character tho, and Kariu isn’t bad after the arc ends. Instead, thespecials focus on the relationship between Kaizaki and Hishiro. Kaizaki continues to be a likeable character, whose maturity and sociability make him easy to root for. Meanwhile, Hishiro finally becomes a real character (S1 Hishiro starting out as the generic emotionless girl every high school anime needs to have), showing some actual life experience and social ability. Not as an extrovert, but something akin to those introverts who still manage to gather a collection of close friends. Highlighting this is an earnest effort to make real connections which makes it hard not to root for Hishiro. With this foundation, a romance that feels as much fuelled by their similar pre-ReLIFE experience and the interactions we see between them throughout the show becomes the main focus. Generic high school anime tropes (omg look all the girls are dressed up as maids for the festival) are still present, but for once the show is fast enough that it never really annoyed me enough to take me out of the experience. Instead, the display of Hishiro’s effort on planning a christmas date, Kaizaki pacing around a table as he waits for a text to show up, and phone calls out of a desire to hear each others voice works so much better with the looming end of the ReLIFE. The blending of the giddy feeling of falling in love with the certainty that this will be over makes these scenes hit so much harder, makes each interaction feel so much more emotional. It really squeezes a lot out of this in 4 episodes. The writing isn’t perfect - there are a few things that feel weird (such as Kaizaki immediately taking back his confession and saying it was super out of the blue when the girl he’s with explicitly asked him on a date), and anime tropes are still everywhere. The writing is rushed, leaving the relationship feeling somewhat shallow, lacking all the small stuff that makes romance really work. I couldn’t help but wonder a few times exactly what it was that these two were actually talking about during their phone calls (as these scenes generally only show them talking while replacing dialogue with music) Still, with the two focuses being actual adults, the writing overall manages to reflect that and bring a relationship that feels a little more mature, a little more realistic and a little more immersive - contrast it to Oga and Kariu where the entire time i was vividly aware that this was a high school anime romance with the dumbest conflicts someone could think up. Non sequitur, I love the music for this show. I wouldn’t listen to it outside of the show, but it works super well in both the first season and these specials, with its choppy piano being able to convey a wider variety of emotions than the more widespread slice of life soundtracks. It really benefits the show a lot. Overall, it was fun to watch

Will make this short. As someone who hasn't read the manga, honestly, this Final Arc wasn't too bad. I liked it quite a bit, even if it did seem fast-paced. The attention was, thank god, shifted to Kaizaki and Hishiro instead of the rubbish from the first season. Maybe if this was longer it would have made for a better watch. But I am not one to fuss about something like this. I am no diehard fan so this was fine. You can expect technical aspects like art to stay constant too. I enjoyed this a lot more than the season before, mainly because of how sweetit was. 7/10. Was good, really was, but not the best but several miles.

DO NOT WATCH BEFORE READING THE MANGA!!! I really had to make a review to say the above words to warn everyone. This 4 episode skip a large part of the story [around 100 chapters] which is pretty much 90% of the development and what really makes this anime a tear jerker. Not only is a 100 or so chapters skipped but even remaining ending Arcs are stacked on top of each other interjoin to make 4 episodes so the story flaws in a different way to the manga. A lot of the development is skipped, its like presenting the couple being together withoutthe development that got them there. I'd highly recommend if you just finished ReLife anime to start reading from VOLUME 6 until end and then watch this sequel Unfortunately we do lose animation value as it cheeps out onto main Area by having a picture slideshow instead of animated scenes and important tear jerker scenes and sentences cut out. It is a very high paced 4 episodes. Sound didn't really hit me that great except for ending of episode 3 which made me turn volume to max blasting it to neighbors which resulted in a score of 6 instead of 3. Overall its a 6/10 Fair score from me as i am thankful to be able to see some scenes animated but unfortunately could not cry or feel sad at all unlike the manga where even re-reading could make me cry a river.

This review is sum up of the complete relife series. As the name suggests, first i thought that it will be a normal high school anime where a shut in neet goes back to high school but never judge a book by its cover. Its a very enjoying and amazing anime which will take you from the dark nature of the coorparate society to a colorful youth filled with enjoyment,friendships and love. This anime will show the importance of living every moment to the fullest. "There's something a little sad about fireworks. As they fade, you feel sort of lonely but the memories...."

A letdown from the first season due to not having enough episodes. As a prior anime only watcher, scenes didn't transition smoothly. Cuts were made that felt rather clunky. It wasn't as emotionally engaging as season 1. A lot of the manga was cut out. What remained is melodrama for 3 out of the 4 episodes concerning our two MCs: whether or not they will get together. The OVA did animate the last chapters of the manga, but chose the more melodramatic/boring chapters. If the first half was dedicated mostly to Kaizaki, then a second half would have been dedicated to Hishiro-san and her pastand the issues she had to overcome. As a viewer, you get none of that. No answers or room to question why Hishiro-san is unemployed for that matter. Why was she chosen to do ReLIFE when she's academically capable? Season 1 gave you pieces of the answer. Not until reading the manga after chapter 120's do you see why she was given a RELIFE in the first place. Now I'm starting to piece together the scenes that seem haphazardly spliced. It's a shame Hishiro-san wasn't fully fleshed out. I loved the cast and it's also a shame that the gang could hardly be seen hanging together. I'm talking about the baton scene, Kariu confronting Kaizaki not to run away or the graduation trip/sunset. Friendship was a pivotal theme in season 1 and manga. If anything, this OVA made me curious about what really happened in the manga. It's watchable, but not as memorable as season 1 or the manga. It felt like they took bits and pieces to string a narrative of whether or not the main pairing will get together. Like the manga, I wasn't too interested in the romance between the MC's. Watch it. Then read the manga. I just wish the OVA animated more like the graduation trip Kaizaki and Hishiro planned for their friends. It had critical character development for Kaizaki. I thought the season 2 of this would be at least 12 eps or 8 but nevertheless we at least got a sequel to this god tier anime. It may be 4 eps but god damn it hits you with the feels. The music and soundtracks used in every moment is perfect and nothing special is to say about the art style quite normal tbh. The main reason why i love both season 1 and season 2 of this anime is the character development through the series and how every action Arata Kaizaki Takes makes an impact within the high schoolers lives they may forgethim but still the impact is still there.Personally I would recommend this anime to all of those who enjoy Slice of life/Romance anime Cause its way up their in those genres.This may be the only anime i can personally relate my life to thats why i give this god tier anime a 1000/1000!

Basicly you still can get clear story and enjoyment from watching this sequel, so don't miss it. It still provide nice slice of life element and some moral values. But i'm a little bit disappointed with this sequel, it is too short and moving/end too fast, it would be better if some good scene from the webtoon was not removed, it would be much better if some scene was included. The webtoon version is made more chronological and clear, but not too slow. The art is still wonderful, if you like "adult art" with cute line, then i recommend this great anime.

ReLIFE: A terrible adaptation of the anime dishonors the great ending of the manga For a long time the manga of ReLIFE aroused many emotions; and when we found out that the anime would adapt the final arc, the joy increased enormously. Unfortunately, after watching the 4 Ovas that adapted the end of the manga I can not feel anything other than a deep disappointment. It is impressive how the director Tomo Kosaka and his crew destroyed the great work of Yayoiso. Actually, what TMS Entertainment has done has no name. By the way, from here spoilers come. In the first place, it was logical that these Ovaswere not going to cover all that remained of the manga; after all there were more than 100 chapters to adapt and it would have been crazy to try it. For that reason, I understand that the decision was taken to make a super summary highlighting the key moments of that part of the story to focus on the outcome. In addition, let's be honest, what we all wanted to see animated was that final reunion, that moment in which both recover the memory thanks to the matching accessories of their cell phones, that great talk of both on the sidewalk of the park where they give their first kiss , those moments of both as a couple and co-workers; and that long-awaited talk of the couple and their supervisors in their adult form while having a few beers. But, surprise! None of those moments were present in the Ovas ... None! What kind of scam was that ?! Why we waited 2 years for these Ovas? It is incredible that the desire of the Japanese to not establish couples in the anime reaches these levels. Honestly, this is a shame. Of all the moments I mentioned, only one was shown; and they did it in such a frightening and hurried way that any emotional impact was lost. I refer to the scene where both recover their memories. I still can not forget how rewarding, exciting and masterful this sequence was handled in the manga. It was such an intense, so vivid, that it aroused a throng of emotions. Unfortunately, in the anime that was so insipid that it did not even arouse the slightest interest. First, why did they have to change the way they retrieve their memories? Who had the "brilliant" idea of doing such a barbarity? And here it does not end, how is it possible that more time is devoted to the scene of Arata trying to convince the brother of Kazuomi to join the ReLIFE program to the scene of recovering the memory of the protagonists? And still it continues, Who decided that the scene of recovery of the memories was the best form to close the Ovas? Obviously, being the last (even after the credits) and be short of time, you could barely see something of the way they both remember what they experienced during the program and little else. There is no emotional impact, there is no strength, you do not feel that despair of having remembered the person you love. And then it was terrible that hug shown at the distance and badly animated to then put the sign "FIN." Those who read this in the manga know that this scene lasted A WHOLE CHAPTER. These geniuses adapted one of the most important and memorable chapters of the manga in two minutes of a post-credits scene. There is no excuse. Chapter 220 deserved something much better; in fact, chapters 219, 220 and 221 at least deserved a complete Ova. The 222, if they were short of space, could have been adapted as a scene during the final credits; and then the sequence of the 4 drinking together in their adult forms may have been the post-credit scene. Also, as I said at the beginning, it was not necessary to make a summary of the series, it was enough to adapt the final chapters and that is it; after all, there was still going to be a lot of material on the outside and what the people wanted was precisely what they did not have in the end. A real pity and another wasted opportunity to do something good. Honestly, for what they did, it would have been better if they had not produced any Ova and that this money had been invested in other projects, but not in charge of this crew. This adaptation can only be defined as an infamy ... And I suppose I should thank them for not leaving a 100% open ending ... 3/10.

I have never written a review here in my life, but the abysmal ending to an absolutely wonderful anime that was my total favourite for a couple of years has pushed me to reevaluate my passiveness here. If you have not read the manga to this wonderful series, perhaps you would not be nearly as infuriated as I am with this sequel. However, even if you haven't seen how it SHOULD HAVE unfolded, I am certain every single one of you who enjoyed the first season will feel that something is very OFF about the sequel. This is all due to terrible pacing. It's FMA all overagain, only this one is crammed into even LESS time. Some of the most major events of the second part of the manga are completely omitted (such as expanding on the Cultural Festival and how Kaizaki came upon his revelation about his own feelings), while others are just mentioned in passing, as though they are unimportant (such as Ohga's brother being a NEET, with whom both ReLIFE test subjects related strongly). All in all, it was a terribly rushed sequel, and you could even notice it in the fallen animation quality that this was a fact in every aspect. Not just cramming more than a hundred chapters into 4 measly episodes that do the story no justice, but not even a very well-drawn ones. I was very much looking forward to this, wondering how exactly they would pull it off. I must say I am very disappointed. The music is still the charming, playful soundtrack that we know from the first season, so nothing is lacking there. But there is an overall shallowness of this sequel that permeates everything else - the story, the characters, the enjoyment and the overall score I have for it. If you believe this story deserved a better ending, you should read the manga from after the first season leaves off. See how this sequel should have been like. ^^

I'm writing this late review because I realized this is one of my favorite shows of all time. Obviously I'm not going to cover the plot from the first season, I'm just going to focus on these 4 episodes which are the conclusion to the anime. First of all I did not read the Manga so I have no idea what are the changes applied and/or if it's better than the anime itself or not. This anime, more specifically, these last 4 episodes really bring your emotions and feelings to life, it's a mix of sadness, hope, excitement, anxiety and relief. The more you are intothe plot and the characters, the more you'll enjoy it. After all these years watching, school, slice of life and romance anime, I feel like this show has been waiting for me. It's my favorite in these genres and I don't think it'll be overruled by any other anime so soon. I can't find negative points, neither plot holes.. It all just comes together perfectly in a show that will either blow your mind or at least make you glad that you watched it. ReLIFE: Kanketsu-hen, is a must watch after the first season (it wouldn't even make sense not to watch it), but there's something I can assure you: If you thought ReLIFE was good, you will love the conclusion of this show. 10/10 is all I can say about my experience on this anime, Simply outstanding.

English : I don't understand why people like that OAV. They have rush 115-120 chapters in 4 episodes and with 0 explication. I'm sad for this manga as is so great and OAV wastes the end. I don't think it hurt, but rushing to finish this manga so fast is really a big waste, and a mistake the directors shouldn't have made. I really invite those who have seen the FVOs to go see the paper manga because we really lack explanation. French : Je ne comprends pas pourquoi les gens aiment cet OAV. Ils ont 115-120 chapitres en 4 épisodes et avec 0 explication. Je suis triste pource manga car il est si bon et OAV gache la fin. Je ne pense pas que ç'est fait a mal mais se précipiter pour finir ce manga si vite est vraiment un gros gâchis, et une erreur que les réalisateurs n'auraient pas dû commettre. J'invite vraiment ceux qui ont vu les OAV à aller voir le manga papier parce que nous n'avons vraiment pas d'explication.

I hate and hate myself so much when I have to write a negative review for one of the best series I've seen since I started reading manga and watching anime. But I have to do it anyway, since I am angry for the fact that the 2nd season was executed so poorly, music made my ear bled, more than last half the story got chopped off and packed so dense, even neutron star is light. Story: 3/10 Poor The story got pretty much chopped off: The original manga (amazing web manga, go read it) has 222 chapters, 108 of them was made for season1 with 13 episodes, the rest of them is pretty much the season 2 with 4 EPISODES. I got cut off so badly, adapted so poorly that I cringed watching the 2nd season I've been waiting for so long, so much dissapointment. Art: 7/10 Good Not so bad, although not fully true to the original, this is just fine or an anime adaptation. Character: 10/10 Outstanding If the plot wasn't so short, I'd give it an 11/10 for interesting characters and great development. Sound: 1/10 Pathetic I hate it, hate it so badly. This is the main reason I hate this season and only thing I disliked in the 1st one. They literally re-used the soundtracks they had for season 1 and you know what? They don't fit the story at all. Whoever is in charge, please fire the guy responsible for the soundtracks, they suck so badly, since season 1 and nothing had changed. Enjoyment: 2/10 Dreadful I'm not angry, I'm disappointed. No.... I AM angry and disappointed as well. Only if they put more budget on this amazing series and negotiated better with the author, we would have had a masterpiece this season. Overall: 3/10 Poor Let's just say: Just go read the manga, it's more worthwhile.

Absolutely a 10/10, easily. A common complaint here will be how "rushed" this conclusion was to such a masterful first season. But given the fact the writers were green-lighted for 4-episodes to make a reasonable ending that spanned 100+ chapters makes this conclusion all the more incredible. I praised the original ReLIFE for being the masterpiece that it was, and this was the long awaited conclusion that did it justice, in my opinion. Many anime don't get the endings they deserve but thankfully for us, this one does so it can be passed down over time as a must-watch classic for anyone. Production took a hit but allthe important parts were there. The character development was fleshed out for the time they had. I'm just really glad I was able to take this ReLIFE journey with Arata, Chizuru, and company. Animes like these are what make me think so fondly of anime storytelling, and if nothing else, you are sure to be punched right in the gut during the closing scene. And on a closing note: Thank you for making this happen!

Tl;dr: Average anime made into good anime when budget constraints taken into account. Read manga for full experience. (Spoiler-free review) On the surface, Relife: Kanketsu-hen felt extremely average; maybe below average. After reading the manga (which I LOVED) this adaptation left so much to be desired. It cut out so much of the backstory, the buildup, the tension, and the pain which nearly every character - including the side cast - had to push past and overcome. Unfortunately, the triumphs and heart-wrenching moments from the manga are missing here. Without these important character moments, which I won’t spoil in case you haven’t read the manga (READ IT),this conclusion doesn’t hit nearly as hard as it could have. HOWEVER, with that being said, I believe that it performed splendidly given the clear budget constraints of this 4 episode finale. While these 4 episodes rushed through the second half of the story, I watched them under the assumption that it was a struggle even to get funding for that much. The lack of funding is clear in just about every shot, with some nice tricks used in some places to try and hide this (the montage in the mall, for example). Taken in this light, I find that while the rush of the second half is not appreciated, it is understandable. The studio did what they could with the resources available to them, and from that perspective these 4 episodes feel a lot stronger to me. I never judge anime based on real-world restrictions, but I couldn’t stop thinking about them here. This brought my score from ~4-5 up to an 8. This is because I realized they were able to take a fantastic story and condense it into ~90 minutes and still keep it coherent. This is a herculean task and I believe they did a commendable job. Please bear in mind that this is basically ReLIFE: Abridged. It cuts out nearly all of the story from the second half, but keeps the major plot point. If you like to read manga, I suggest reading this one from start to finish as this anime doesn’t do the story justice; and it truly IS a wonderful story.

You may forget about the person you love but the feeling will still remain, no amount of time nor space can separate us. Now that my friends is the power of love. I have to "ReWATCH" the whole anime from top to bottom since it has been 4 months the last time i saw it just in order for me to dig in deeper with my emotions and oh boy it really delivered quite some punches. A man who has bad luck in life has a second chance in highschool. Such a very interesting plot. Meets a girl who also has the same fate as him, overtimethey gradually fall in-love. If only that will happen in "ReaLIFE" that would be F'n awesome! If it does happen to me i'd probably do the same thing when i was in highschool. Regrets are part of our life, it's what made us who we are, no second chances, learn from mistakes, we can't take back what has already been done, but, what all we need is to move forward positively (don't mind me i was just talking BS ReaLtalk). Just like Ryou Senpai said don't forget the old self that made you who you are, this highschool is just an illusion. We eventually have to go back to reality. Now lets go back to this love story the last part has a tiny bit similarity on kimi no Na wa, but with more definition/distinct because they actually called for each other and made lovey-dovey scenes and oh boy i was really hoping for that scene they both deserve each other good thing the authors made the right decision and good job on keeping us on the edge! Unlike kimi no Na wa they just asked for each others names, then cut! Role credits! But even if they did learn about each others names i probably would guess they would just say "Oh sorry i thought i know you from somewhere" and just go on with their daily lives "but why are you crying?" "Ohh that? I beetle got stuck on my eyelids". 😂😂😂 For you Rom/Com Fanatics out there! This is a must watch anime it has lovable artistic design, beautiful character devs and most of all the a heart warming story. So without further ado a 10/10.

ENG ver So, where can i begin...maybe in the part where it dont have any sense only to have made four episodes for and arc more extensive than the first season. The manga clearly had feelings that this four did not have at all (i could be sure of it, i didnt barely feel anytinhg watching this) The excuse of ''Ova" dont make it to be worst than the first season, it lost every good thing that it previously have, for example the sense of melancholy and angiush, the forced and the apresurated wayof making every single episode is absulotely unfair to a story like this one. The caracthers dont have any progression as strong as manga,dont need to be equal ,just it tried hard to be but, "nothing good can come from the rushed", but please i don't aks too much, just, at leats, dont lose the essence of your mc!!!. The animation was poorly. the first episode of it is the clear example, sometimes the first one is the best animated, only for the "engage" of the aundience.. this is not. The first season had a great animation this is why i was't expected something like that. I dont dislike it at all, but it was very dissapointing. Having said this.. READ the fking manga what are u waiting for? Thx for read :) (PD: i need to say that this is my first review i dont usually write but i had the need to do it, so here is) SPA ver. Bueno, por donde empezar... quiza por la parte en la que no tiene ningun sentido que esta adaptacion solo tenga 4 episodios, para un arco mas largo que el de la primera temporada en cuestion de capitulos del manga. El manga claramente transmitia sensaciones que estos simplemte no lo hacen del todo y eso sin decir que gracias a lo forzado que fue su pobre "adaptacion" casi no tiene desarrollo argumental coherente. Y poner como excusa el hecho de que es un "Ova" solo para hacer algo de esta pobre magnitud, que ni poniendo sobre un pedestal podra llegar a un punto similar como el de la primera tempora. lo cual es verdaderamente injusto para una serie con tanto potencial como esta. Los personajes escasamente tienen alguna progresion coherente, todo gracias a la idea de apresurar todo al maximo perdiendo todo sentido de la palabra adaptacion en su ser. La animacion fue pobre. Tengo que admitir que esto me sorprendio para mal, teniendo en cuenta que la primera temporada estuvo muy bien animada. Un claro ejemplo de ello seria el primer episodio, usualmente se usa como metodo de enganche con "buena animacion" que decae con cada episodio (digo usual porque obviamente ya no se hace con tanta frecuencia.) No me disgusto del todo tengo que admitirlo. Pero fue muy decepcionante. Habiendo dicho todo esto. LEE EL MANGA Y ENTENDERAS QUE ESTOY DICIENDO no tengo nada mas que añadir. While ReLife was one of my favorite animes from 2016, the OVA unfortunately didn't live up to that promise. With that said, I quite liked the way that the series was tied up. Lets get down into the nitty gritty of what worked and what didn't. Lets start with the obvious. 4 episodes could not possibly hope to cover all the source material left after the first season, and therefore a lot of things had to be cut. While I have not read all of the manga, I did read enough to get a sense of just what was cut and what wasn't. While I thinkthe studio did a good job of ending the story, it still felt rushed. It also suffered from a low budget, which most notably shows in that every character which is not central to the story is only a colorful shadowy outline. There were also several montage scenes with stills narrated by one of the characters which, while certainly appropriate sometimes, felt more like the result of these budget restrictions. Even though the OVA had these restrictions, it still managed to finish the story in a way that didn't make me feel as if I'd swallowed something bitter. By focusing all the energy on the main pairing of Kaizaki and Hishiro, the studio managed successfully to close that storyline in a satisfying way. This did lead to the loss of some of the soul of the original anime, as the playful cheery and fully realized characterizations of the original was missing in the OVA. This is understandable, but regrettable and it lowers the overall quality of the show. While the mumbo jumbo surrounding the science of the ReLife experiment was never convincing, the OVA forgoes any tries at explaining how it works. This is not a bad thing, as any explanation would have put more focus on how incredibly unrealistic the whole setting is. And lets face it, the reason that people watch this show isn't because of those elements, but to see the main characters grow and bond with each other. And while the show as a whole is not nearly as good as the original, I was still left with a sense of satisfaction when it was over. And perhaps a wistful longing for a more developed second season which could have truly done ReLife justice. On the other hand, I'm glad that I got to say a proper goodbye to the characters of the show. For all its faults, ReLife: Kanketsu-hen left me with a warm heart and a happy smile.

FOLKS, This ova made me feel 2 things, Sadness and joy. Now sure it could have been way better if they followed the manga a little bit more but that still did not change the way the ending made me feel, It just hits your right in your heart. It really saddens me that it’s only a 4 episode Ova since i really came to like a lot of these characters, this show makes you get to know them on a personal level and seeing how this all turned out. It just hurt my heart. I found the music in Relife to also be a very good part aboutit, the music made the scenes even better by controling the mood. The Characters in Relife are very loveable and their experiences pull very hard on your heart strings. The thing that I found that Relife shows you the most is to just enjoy the time you have which I find a very good Plotpoint. It was a short and fulfilling show, and I Enjoyed it a lot! Overal relife was a Great series and i am happy that i stumbled upon it! And i’d Highly recommend giving this show a chance! Now sure it has a some flaws like undeveloped characters but it’s still a show worth giving a shot!! STORY : 8 ART : 9 SOUND : 8 CHARACTERS : 7 ENJOYMENT : 9 OVERALL : 8 (Karui best girl.)

This is a sequel to the ReLife first season. If you plan to watch this, it is almost absolutely necessary to watch the entire first season (unless you've read the manga and only want to watch the finale). "There's something a little sad about fireworks. As they fade, you feel sort of lonely" How you endure the working life of adults depends on your experiences growing up into adulthood, especially the final stages of your journey towards graduation before being thrown into the hectic working life of an adult. Our protagonists are given the chance to go through this stage of life once again through the ReLife program. Togain something in their former selves that would allow them to re-enter society as a fully functional member of society. We follow the ongoing journey of Kaizaki as he fulfills his final period of time left in high school/Relife. Knowing his memory will be wiped after, he attempts to sort his feelings (especially for Chihiro) and how he will follow through enduring graduation with his classmates and friends. Chihiro herself is at a loss of how she feels, but she opens up to her friends now; who are able to support her knowing fully well how she behaves and her personality. Songs were well laid down, the plot is easy to follow and emotionally strapping. I've never had such a bittersweet high school experience as this but this series made me feel like there were many things I could've done to make it better, the words I should've said and the opportunities lost as time flows and pulls us towards tomorrow. This sequel comes in a short 4 episode ova, and it saddens me deeply that it wasn't as long as I thought it would be when they announced a sequel. They did a wonderful job doing it however, whether it was an ironic decision to make it short like the one year time our protagonist spent in their ReLife or not. "The fireworks may vanish but our memories remain" And so will this series for me. It was short, enjoyful and fulfilling. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did and to those of you still in high school, these are the final years before your adulthood. Enjoy the small moments with the people you cherish and make the most of it while you can.

What if you were told that there’s a chance to relive your high school days again? High school is a place to learn, develop, and begin the stairs of adolescence. The opportunity would be an experience like almost no other. ReLife offers a story of life experience, one that tests the water of a character’s values and chance for reinvention. ReLife’s return consists of a 4-episode OVA that brings the staff and cast back from the original series. While I had hoped for a full season to capture the true essence of the manga, it’s important to note that these four episodes are imperative for theoverall story plot. The main characters return and their personalities are what you’d expect from these OVA episodes. Furthermore, we get the comedy gags that fans may be familiar with from the previous season and manga. The story itself isn’t complicated to understand. With an established premise already being set, these episodes focuses on expanding the characters’ roles along with their relationships. These include learning more about Ooga’s family, building an important connection between Kaizaki/Hishiro, and reflecting on their life experiences and values. While some of the elements of this story is easily predictable (in particular the romance), it never ceases to stray from its storytelling. There are hints dropped throughout these episodes that heavily hints on a developing connection between the main characters. Furthermore, it takes place in a high school life setting and there’s almost no limit on how characters can enjoy themselves. The first three episodes includes a cultural festival with maid outfits, butlers, and dates. While it seems silly at first glance, it’s also hard to not fall in love with the characters in their roles. The moments when Kaizaki and Hishiro are together can be described in so many words and can easily make viewers cheer for them to get together. The final OVA episode serves as the ultimate end game that ties to dots together. While this OVA series may sound almost like a big ship tease, it’s about more than that. It highlights the importance of human life and what one can do if they had a chance to relive a part of it again. For Kaizaki, I believe he learned a lot from his experience. He begins to value himself and what he can do for others while learning from his past mistakes. It’s a title that invites reflection. Plus, I feel like these OVA episodes accomplishes at expanding and concluding the plot of the original series. After all, the first season felt rather open ended and invited questions of ‘what ifs’ and ‘how will it end’. Luckily, we have the answers now. As a fan of the manga, my personal impressions from the OVA left me wanting for more but it’s evident that there’s not much else they can expand on this. An experiment doesn’t last forever and neither can a story. From just these four episodes though, it manages to capture the attention of the audience and get its point across at how important life experience is for high schoolers. The psychology and inner thoughts serve as a constant reminder of character connections. However, I will say that after a while, it feels the show can be a bit tedious as many of the dialogues gets repetitive. If you’re not a fan of this type of storytelling, then it may be hard to enjoy. Staff from the previous series return to make this happen so expect the anime adaptation style to look very similar. Luckily, it manages to retain the quality with the character designs, setting, and facial expressions. A big part of the comedy comes from the humorous character expressions and I can gratefully say that this anime manages to capitalize that once again. It can range from silly looks that characters throw at each other during casual conversations to a more serious moody tone during emotional moments. Character voice mannerism on most parts are adapted in consistent with their personalities. The one that caught my attention the most is Hishiro as she is able to open herself more to others. ReLife: Kanketsu-hen (ReLife Final Arc) serves as not just a gift for the fans of the anime and manga but also as a way to give this franchise its deserving sendoff. I began reading this series since its debut and can safely say that it’s been an emotional journey. The final arc made me fall in love with this series all over again and proves how an unorthodox plot like this can work in modern times.

The specials took everything that was good about the first season and removed everything that wasn’t. Although rushed, it manages to condense the emotional meat and bones into a tight, well written love arc. With a foundation of likeable characters and a season 1 that was already building their relationship, the show manages to completely ditch Kariu and Oga, which is a great relief. Aside from a decent ending, Kariu’s arc in season 1 was a pain to get through, filled with anime cliches and contrived conflicts. I do think Oga is a good character tho, and Kariu isn’t bad after the arc ends. Instead, thespecials focus on the relationship between Kaizaki and Hishiro. Kaizaki continues to be a likeable character, whose maturity and sociability make him easy to root for. Meanwhile, Hishiro finally becomes a real character (S1 Hishiro starting out as the generic emotionless girl every high school anime needs to have), showing some actual life experience and social ability. Not as an extrovert, but something akin to those introverts who still manage to gather a collection of close friends. Highlighting this is an earnest effort to make real connections which makes it hard not to root for Hishiro. With this foundation, a romance that feels as much fuelled by their similar pre-ReLIFE experience and the interactions we see between them throughout the show becomes the main focus. Generic high school anime tropes (omg look all the girls are dressed up as maids for the festival) are still present, but for once the show is fast enough that it never really annoyed me enough to take me out of the experience. Instead, the display of Hishiro’s effort on planning a christmas date, Kaizaki pacing around a table as he waits for a text to show up, and phone calls out of a desire to hear each others voice works so much better with the looming end of the ReLIFE. The blending of the giddy feeling of falling in love with the certainty that this will be over makes these scenes hit so much harder, makes each interaction feel so much more emotional. It really squeezes a lot out of this in 4 episodes. The writing isn’t perfect - there are a few things that feel weird (such as Kaizaki immediately taking back his confession and saying it was super out of the blue when the girl he’s with explicitly asked him on a date), and anime tropes are still everywhere. The writing is rushed, leaving the relationship feeling somewhat shallow, lacking all the small stuff that makes romance really work. I couldn’t help but wonder a few times exactly what it was that these two were actually talking about during their phone calls (as these scenes generally only show them talking while replacing dialogue with music) Still, with the two focuses being actual adults, the writing overall manages to reflect that and bring a relationship that feels a little more mature, a little more realistic and a little more immersive - contrast it to Oga and Kariu where the entire time i was vividly aware that this was a high school anime romance with the dumbest conflicts someone could think up. Non sequitur, I love the music for this show. I wouldn’t listen to it outside of the show, but it works super well in both the first season and these specials, with its choppy piano being able to convey a wider variety of emotions than the more widespread slice of life soundtracks. It really benefits the show a lot. Overall, it was fun to watch

Will make this short. As someone who hasn't read the manga, honestly, this Final Arc wasn't too bad. I liked it quite a bit, even if it did seem fast-paced. The attention was, thank god, shifted to Kaizaki and Hishiro instead of the rubbish from the first season. Maybe if this was longer it would have made for a better watch. But I am not one to fuss about something like this. I am no diehard fan so this was fine. You can expect technical aspects like art to stay constant too. I enjoyed this a lot more than the season before, mainly because of how sweetit was. 7/10. Was good, really was, but not the best but several miles.

DO NOT WATCH BEFORE READING THE MANGA!!! I really had to make a review to say the above words to warn everyone. This 4 episode skip a large part of the story [around 100 chapters] which is pretty much 90% of the development and what really makes this anime a tear jerker. Not only is a 100 or so chapters skipped but even remaining ending Arcs are stacked on top of each other interjoin to make 4 episodes so the story flaws in a different way to the manga. A lot of the development is skipped, its like presenting the couple being together withoutthe development that got them there. I'd highly recommend if you just finished ReLife anime to start reading from VOLUME 6 until end and then watch this sequel Unfortunately we do lose animation value as it cheeps out onto main Area by having a picture slideshow instead of animated scenes and important tear jerker scenes and sentences cut out. It is a very high paced 4 episodes. Sound didn't really hit me that great except for ending of episode 3 which made me turn volume to max blasting it to neighbors which resulted in a score of 6 instead of 3. Overall its a 6/10 Fair score from me as i am thankful to be able to see some scenes animated but unfortunately could not cry or feel sad at all unlike the manga where even re-reading could make me cry a river.

This review is sum up of the complete relife series. As the name suggests, first i thought that it will be a normal high school anime where a shut in neet goes back to high school but never judge a book by its cover. Its a very enjoying and amazing anime which will take you from the dark nature of the coorparate society to a colorful youth filled with enjoyment,friendships and love. This anime will show the importance of living every moment to the fullest. "There's something a little sad about fireworks. As they fade, you feel sort of lonely but the memories...."

A letdown from the first season due to not having enough episodes. As a prior anime only watcher, scenes didn't transition smoothly. Cuts were made that felt rather clunky. It wasn't as emotionally engaging as season 1. A lot of the manga was cut out. What remained is melodrama for 3 out of the 4 episodes concerning our two MCs: whether or not they will get together. The OVA did animate the last chapters of the manga, but chose the more melodramatic/boring chapters. If the first half was dedicated mostly to Kaizaki, then a second half would have been dedicated to Hishiro-san and her pastand the issues she had to overcome. As a viewer, you get none of that. No answers or room to question why Hishiro-san is unemployed for that matter. Why was she chosen to do ReLIFE when she's academically capable? Season 1 gave you pieces of the answer. Not until reading the manga after chapter 120's do you see why she was given a RELIFE in the first place. Now I'm starting to piece together the scenes that seem haphazardly spliced. It's a shame Hishiro-san wasn't fully fleshed out. I loved the cast and it's also a shame that the gang could hardly be seen hanging together. I'm talking about the baton scene, Kariu confronting Kaizaki not to run away or the graduation trip/sunset. Friendship was a pivotal theme in season 1 and manga. If anything, this OVA made me curious about what really happened in the manga. It's watchable, but not as memorable as season 1 or the manga. It felt like they took bits and pieces to string a narrative of whether or not the main pairing will get together. Like the manga, I wasn't too interested in the romance between the MC's. Watch it. Then read the manga. I just wish the OVA animated more like the graduation trip Kaizaki and Hishiro planned for their friends. It had critical character development for Kaizaki. I thought the season 2 of this would be at least 12 eps or 8 but nevertheless we at least got a sequel to this god tier anime. It may be 4 eps but god damn it hits you with the feels. The music and soundtracks used in every moment is perfect and nothing special is to say about the art style quite normal tbh. The main reason why i love both season 1 and season 2 of this anime is the character development through the series and how every action Arata Kaizaki Takes makes an impact within the high schoolers lives they may forgethim but still the impact is still there.Personally I would recommend this anime to all of those who enjoy Slice of life/Romance anime Cause its way up their in those genres.This may be the only anime i can personally relate my life to thats why i give this god tier anime a 1000/1000!

Basicly you still can get clear story and enjoyment from watching this sequel, so don't miss it. It still provide nice slice of life element and some moral values. But i'm a little bit disappointed with this sequel, it is too short and moving/end too fast, it would be better if some good scene from the webtoon was not removed, it would be much better if some scene was included. The webtoon version is made more chronological and clear, but not too slow. The art is still wonderful, if you like "adult art" with cute line, then i recommend this great anime.

ReLIFE: A terrible adaptation of the anime dishonors the great ending of the manga For a long time the manga of ReLIFE aroused many emotions; and when we found out that the anime would adapt the final arc, the joy increased enormously. Unfortunately, after watching the 4 Ovas that adapted the end of the manga I can not feel anything other than a deep disappointment. It is impressive how the director Tomo Kosaka and his crew destroyed the great work of Yayoiso. Actually, what TMS Entertainment has done has no name. By the way, from here spoilers come. In the first place, it was logical that these Ovaswere not going to cover all that remained of the manga; after all there were more than 100 chapters to adapt and it would have been crazy to try it. For that reason, I understand that the decision was taken to make a super summary highlighting the key moments of that part of the story to focus on the outcome. In addition, let's be honest, what we all wanted to see animated was that final reunion, that moment in which both recover the memory thanks to the matching accessories of their cell phones, that great talk of both on the sidewalk of the park where they give their first kiss , those moments of both as a couple and co-workers; and that long-awaited talk of the couple and their supervisors in their adult form while having a few beers. But, surprise! None of those moments were present in the Ovas ... None! What kind of scam was that ?! Why we waited 2 years for these Ovas? It is incredible that the desire of the Japanese to not establish couples in the anime reaches these levels. Honestly, this is a shame. Of all the moments I mentioned, only one was shown; and they did it in such a frightening and hurried way that any emotional impact was lost. I refer to the scene where both recover their memories. I still can not forget how rewarding, exciting and masterful this sequence was handled in the manga. It was such an intense, so vivid, that it aroused a throng of emotions. Unfortunately, in the anime that was so insipid that it did not even arouse the slightest interest. First, why did they have to change the way they retrieve their memories? Who had the "brilliant" idea of doing such a barbarity? And here it does not end, how is it possible that more time is devoted to the scene of Arata trying to convince the brother of Kazuomi to join the ReLIFE program to the scene of recovering the memory of the protagonists? And still it continues, Who decided that the scene of recovery of the memories was the best form to close the Ovas? Obviously, being the last (even after the credits) and be short of time, you could barely see something of the way they both remember what they experienced during the program and little else. There is no emotional impact, there is no strength, you do not feel that despair of having remembered the person you love. And then it was terrible that hug shown at the distance and badly animated to then put the sign "FIN." Those who read this in the manga know that this scene lasted A WHOLE CHAPTER. These geniuses adapted one of the most important and memorable chapters of the manga in two minutes of a post-credits scene. There is no excuse. Chapter 220 deserved something much better; in fact, chapters 219, 220 and 221 at least deserved a complete Ova. The 222, if they were short of space, could have been adapted as a scene during the final credits; and then the sequence of the 4 drinking together in their adult forms may have been the post-credit scene. Also, as I said at the beginning, it was not necessary to make a summary of the series, it was enough to adapt the final chapters and that is it; after all, there was still going to be a lot of material on the outside and what the people wanted was precisely what they did not have in the end. A real pity and another wasted opportunity to do something good. Honestly, for what they did, it would have been better if they had not produced any Ova and that this money had been invested in other projects, but not in charge of this crew. This adaptation can only be defined as an infamy ... And I suppose I should thank them for not leaving a 100% open ending ... 3/10.

I have never written a review here in my life, but the abysmal ending to an absolutely wonderful anime that was my total favourite for a couple of years has pushed me to reevaluate my passiveness here. If you have not read the manga to this wonderful series, perhaps you would not be nearly as infuriated as I am with this sequel. However, even if you haven't seen how it SHOULD HAVE unfolded, I am certain every single one of you who enjoyed the first season will feel that something is very OFF about the sequel. This is all due to terrible pacing. It's FMA all overagain, only this one is crammed into even LESS time. Some of the most major events of the second part of the manga are completely omitted (such as expanding on the Cultural Festival and how Kaizaki came upon his revelation about his own feelings), while others are just mentioned in passing, as though they are unimportant (such as Ohga's brother being a NEET, with whom both ReLIFE test subjects related strongly). All in all, it was a terribly rushed sequel, and you could even notice it in the fallen animation quality that this was a fact in every aspect. Not just cramming more than a hundred chapters into 4 measly episodes that do the story no justice, but not even a very well-drawn ones. I was very much looking forward to this, wondering how exactly they would pull it off. I must say I am very disappointed. The music is still the charming, playful soundtrack that we know from the first season, so nothing is lacking there. But there is an overall shallowness of this sequel that permeates everything else - the story, the characters, the enjoyment and the overall score I have for it. If you believe this story deserved a better ending, you should read the manga from after the first season leaves off. See how this sequel should have been like. ^^

I'm writing this late review because I realized this is one of my favorite shows of all time. Obviously I'm not going to cover the plot from the first season, I'm just going to focus on these 4 episodes which are the conclusion to the anime. First of all I did not read the Manga so I have no idea what are the changes applied and/or if it's better than the anime itself or not. This anime, more specifically, these last 4 episodes really bring your emotions and feelings to life, it's a mix of sadness, hope, excitement, anxiety and relief. The more you are intothe plot and the characters, the more you'll enjoy it. After all these years watching, school, slice of life and romance anime, I feel like this show has been waiting for me. It's my favorite in these genres and I don't think it'll be overruled by any other anime so soon. I can't find negative points, neither plot holes.. It all just comes together perfectly in a show that will either blow your mind or at least make you glad that you watched it. ReLIFE: Kanketsu-hen, is a must watch after the first season (it wouldn't even make sense not to watch it), but there's something I can assure you: If you thought ReLIFE was good, you will love the conclusion of this show. 10/10 is all I can say about my experience on this anime, Simply outstanding.

English : I don't understand why people like that OAV. They have rush 115-120 chapters in 4 episodes and with 0 explication. I'm sad for this manga as is so great and OAV wastes the end. I don't think it hurt, but rushing to finish this manga so fast is really a big waste, and a mistake the directors shouldn't have made. I really invite those who have seen the FVOs to go see the paper manga because we really lack explanation. French : Je ne comprends pas pourquoi les gens aiment cet OAV. Ils ont 115-120 chapitres en 4 épisodes et avec 0 explication. Je suis triste pource manga car il est si bon et OAV gache la fin. Je ne pense pas que ç'est fait a mal mais se précipiter pour finir ce manga si vite est vraiment un gros gâchis, et une erreur que les réalisateurs n'auraient pas dû commettre. J'invite vraiment ceux qui ont vu les OAV à aller voir le manga papier parce que nous n'avons vraiment pas d'explication.

I hate and hate myself so much when I have to write a negative review for one of the best series I've seen since I started reading manga and watching anime. But I have to do it anyway, since I am angry for the fact that the 2nd season was executed so poorly, music made my ear bled, more than last half the story got chopped off and packed so dense, even neutron star is light. Story: 3/10 Poor The story got pretty much chopped off: The original manga (amazing web manga, go read it) has 222 chapters, 108 of them was made for season1 with 13 episodes, the rest of them is pretty much the season 2 with 4 EPISODES. I got cut off so badly, adapted so poorly that I cringed watching the 2nd season I've been waiting for so long, so much dissapointment. Art: 7/10 Good Not so bad, although not fully true to the original, this is just fine or an anime adaptation. Character: 10/10 Outstanding If the plot wasn't so short, I'd give it an 11/10 for interesting characters and great development. Sound: 1/10 Pathetic I hate it, hate it so badly. This is the main reason I hate this season and only thing I disliked in the 1st one. They literally re-used the soundtracks they had for season 1 and you know what? They don't fit the story at all. Whoever is in charge, please fire the guy responsible for the soundtracks, they suck so badly, since season 1 and nothing had changed. Enjoyment: 2/10 Dreadful I'm not angry, I'm disappointed. No.... I AM angry and disappointed as well. Only if they put more budget on this amazing series and negotiated better with the author, we would have had a masterpiece this season. Overall: 3/10 Poor Let's just say: Just go read the manga, it's more worthwhile.

Absolutely a 10/10, easily. A common complaint here will be how "rushed" this conclusion was to such a masterful first season. But given the fact the writers were green-lighted for 4-episodes to make a reasonable ending that spanned 100+ chapters makes this conclusion all the more incredible. I praised the original ReLIFE for being the masterpiece that it was, and this was the long awaited conclusion that did it justice, in my opinion. Many anime don't get the endings they deserve but thankfully for us, this one does so it can be passed down over time as a must-watch classic for anyone. Production took a hit but allthe important parts were there. The character development was fleshed out for the time they had. I'm just really glad I was able to take this ReLIFE journey with Arata, Chizuru, and company. Animes like these are what make me think so fondly of anime storytelling, and if nothing else, you are sure to be punched right in the gut during the closing scene. And on a closing note: Thank you for making this happen!

Tl;dr: Average anime made into good anime when budget constraints taken into account. Read manga for full experience. (Spoiler-free review) On the surface, Relife: Kanketsu-hen felt extremely average; maybe below average. After reading the manga (which I LOVED) this adaptation left so much to be desired. It cut out so much of the backstory, the buildup, the tension, and the pain which nearly every character - including the side cast - had to push past and overcome. Unfortunately, the triumphs and heart-wrenching moments from the manga are missing here. Without these important character moments, which I won’t spoil in case you haven’t read the manga (READ IT),this conclusion doesn’t hit nearly as hard as it could have. HOWEVER, with that being said, I believe that it performed splendidly given the clear budget constraints of this 4 episode finale. While these 4 episodes rushed through the second half of the story, I watched them under the assumption that it was a struggle even to get funding for that much. The lack of funding is clear in just about every shot, with some nice tricks used in some places to try and hide this (the montage in the mall, for example). Taken in this light, I find that while the rush of the second half is not appreciated, it is understandable. The studio did what they could with the resources available to them, and from that perspective these 4 episodes feel a lot stronger to me. I never judge anime based on real-world restrictions, but I couldn’t stop thinking about them here. This brought my score from ~4-5 up to an 8. This is because I realized they were able to take a fantastic story and condense it into ~90 minutes and still keep it coherent. This is a herculean task and I believe they did a commendable job. Please bear in mind that this is basically ReLIFE: Abridged. It cuts out nearly all of the story from the second half, but keeps the major plot point. If you like to read manga, I suggest reading this one from start to finish as this anime doesn’t do the story justice; and it truly IS a wonderful story.

You may forget about the person you love but the feeling will still remain, no amount of time nor space can separate us. Now that my friends is the power of love. I have to "ReWATCH" the whole anime from top to bottom since it has been 4 months the last time i saw it just in order for me to dig in deeper with my emotions and oh boy it really delivered quite some punches. A man who has bad luck in life has a second chance in highschool. Such a very interesting plot. Meets a girl who also has the same fate as him, overtimethey gradually fall in-love. If only that will happen in "ReaLIFE" that would be F'n awesome! If it does happen to me i'd probably do the same thing when i was in highschool. Regrets are part of our life, it's what made us who we are, no second chances, learn from mistakes, we can't take back what has already been done, but, what all we need is to move forward positively (don't mind me i was just talking BS ReaLtalk). Just like Ryou Senpai said don't forget the old self that made you who you are, this highschool is just an illusion. We eventually have to go back to reality. Now lets go back to this love story the last part has a tiny bit similarity on kimi no Na wa, but with more definition/distinct because they actually called for each other and made lovey-dovey scenes and oh boy i was really hoping for that scene they both deserve each other good thing the authors made the right decision and good job on keeping us on the edge! Unlike kimi no Na wa they just asked for each others names, then cut! Role credits! But even if they did learn about each others names i probably would guess they would just say "Oh sorry i thought i know you from somewhere" and just go on with their daily lives "but why are you crying?" "Ohh that? I beetle got stuck on my eyelids". 😂😂😂 For you Rom/Com Fanatics out there! This is a must watch anime it has lovable artistic design, beautiful character devs and most of all the a heart warming story. So without further ado a 10/10.

I'm gonna write this review in eng and spa. Escribire esta reseña en ingles y español. ENG ver So, where can i begin...maybe in the part where it dont have any sense only to have made four episodes for and arc more extensive than the first season. The manga clearly had feelings that this four did not have at all (i could be sure of it, i didnt barely feel anytinhg watching this) The excuse of ''Ova" dont make it to be worst than the first season, it lost every good thing that it previously have, for example the sense of melancholy and angiush, the forced and the apresurated wayof making every single episode is absulotely unfair to a story like this one. The caracthers dont have any progression as strong as manga,dont need to be equal ,just it tried hard to be but, "nothing good can come from the rushed", but please i don't aks too much, just, at leats, dont lose the essence of your mc!!!. The animation was poorly. the first episode of it is the clear example, sometimes the first one is the best animated, only for the "engage" of the aundience.. this is not. The first season had a great animation this is why i was't expected something like that. I dont dislike it at all, but it was very dissapointing. Having said this.. READ the fking manga what are u waiting for? Thx for read :) (PD: i need to say that this is my first review i dont usually write but i had the need to do it, so here is) SPA ver. Bueno, por donde empezar... quiza por la parte en la que no tiene ningun sentido que esta adaptacion solo tenga 4 episodios, para un arco mas largo que el de la primera temporada en cuestion de capitulos del manga. El manga claramente transmitia sensaciones que estos simplemte no lo hacen del todo y eso sin decir que gracias a lo forzado que fue su pobre "adaptacion" casi no tiene desarrollo argumental coherente. Y poner como excusa el hecho de que es un "Ova" solo para hacer algo de esta pobre magnitud, que ni poniendo sobre un pedestal podra llegar a un punto similar como el de la primera tempora. lo cual es verdaderamente injusto para una serie con tanto potencial como esta. Los personajes escasamente tienen alguna progresion coherente, todo gracias a la idea de apresurar todo al maximo perdiendo todo sentido de la palabra adaptacion en su ser. La animacion fue pobre. Tengo que admitir que esto me sorprendio para mal, teniendo en cuenta que la primera temporada estuvo muy bien animada. Un claro ejemplo de ello seria el primer episodio, usualmente se usa como metodo de enganche con "buena animacion" que decae con cada episodio (digo usual porque obviamente ya no se hace con tanta frecuencia.) No me disgusto del todo tengo que admitirlo. Pero fue muy decepcionante. Habiendo dicho todo esto. LEE EL MANGA Y ENTENDERAS QUE ESTOY DICIENDO no tengo nada mas que añadir. While ReLife was one of my favorite animes from 2016, the OVA unfortunately didn't live up to that promise. With that said, I quite liked the way that the series was tied up. Lets get down into the nitty gritty of what worked and what didn't. Lets start with the obvious. 4 episodes could not possibly hope to cover all the source material left after the first season, and therefore a lot of things had to be cut. While I have not read all of the manga, I did read enough to get a sense of just what was cut and what wasn't. While I thinkthe studio did a good job of ending the story, it still felt rushed. It also suffered from a low budget, which most notably shows in that every character which is not central to the story is only a colorful shadowy outline. There were also several montage scenes with stills narrated by one of the characters which, while certainly appropriate sometimes, felt more like the result of these budget restrictions. Even though the OVA had these restrictions, it still managed to finish the story in a way that didn't make me feel as if I'd swallowed something bitter. By focusing all the energy on the main pairing of Kaizaki and Hishiro, the studio managed successfully to close that storyline in a satisfying way. This did lead to the loss of some of the soul of the original anime, as the playful cheery and fully realized characterizations of the original was missing in the OVA. This is understandable, but regrettable and it lowers the overall quality of the show. While the mumbo jumbo surrounding the science of the ReLife experiment was never convincing, the OVA forgoes any tries at explaining how it works. This is not a bad thing, as any explanation would have put more focus on how incredibly unrealistic the whole setting is. And lets face it, the reason that people watch this show isn't because of those elements, but to see the main characters grow and bond with each other. And while the show as a whole is not nearly as good as the original, I was still left with a sense of satisfaction when it was over. And perhaps a wistful longing for a more developed second season which could have truly done ReLife justice. On the other hand, I'm glad that I got to say a proper goodbye to the characters of the show. For all its faults, ReLife: Kanketsu-hen left me with a warm heart and a happy smile.

FOLKS, This ova made me feel 2 things, Sadness and joy. Now sure it could have been way better if they followed the manga a little bit more but that still did not change the way the ending made me feel, It just hits your right in your heart. It really saddens me that it’s only a 4 episode Ova since i really came to like a lot of these characters, this show makes you get to know them on a personal level and seeing how this all turned out. It just hurt my heart. I found the music in Relife to also be a very good part aboutit, the music made the scenes even better by controling the mood. The Characters in Relife are very loveable and their experiences pull very hard on your heart strings. The thing that I found that Relife shows you the most is to just enjoy the time you have which I find a very good Plotpoint. It was a short and fulfilling show, and I Enjoyed it a lot! Overal relife was a Great series and i am happy that i stumbled upon it! And i’d Highly recommend giving this show a chance! Now sure it has a some flaws like undeveloped characters but it’s still a show worth giving a shot!! STORY : 8 ART : 9 SOUND : 8 CHARACTERS : 7 ENJOYMENT : 9 OVERALL : 8 (Karui best girl.)

This is a sequel to the ReLife first season. If you plan to watch this, it is almost absolutely necessary to watch the entire first season (unless you've read the manga and only want to watch the finale). "There's something a little sad about fireworks. As they fade, you feel sort of lonely" How you endure the working life of adults depends on your experiences growing up into adulthood, especially the final stages of your journey towards graduation before being thrown into the hectic working life of an adult. Our protagonists are given the chance to go through this stage of life once again through the ReLife program. Togain something in their former selves that would allow them to re-enter society as a fully functional member of society. We follow the ongoing journey of Kaizaki as he fulfills his final period of time left in high school/Relife. Knowing his memory will be wiped after, he attempts to sort his feelings (especially for Chihiro) and how he will follow through enduring graduation with his classmates and friends. Chihiro herself is at a loss of how she feels, but she opens up to her friends now; who are able to support her knowing fully well how she behaves and her personality. Songs were well laid down, the plot is easy to follow and emotionally strapping. I've never had such a bittersweet high school experience as this but this series made me feel like there were many things I could've done to make it better, the words I should've said and the opportunities lost as time flows and pulls us towards tomorrow. This sequel comes in a short 4 episode ova, and it saddens me deeply that it wasn't as long as I thought it would be when they announced a sequel. They did a wonderful job doing it however, whether it was an ironic decision to make it short like the one year time our protagonist spent in their ReLife or not. "The fireworks may vanish but our memories remain" And so will this series for me. It was short, enjoyful and fulfilling. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did and to those of you still in high school, these are the final years before your adulthood. Enjoy the small moments with the people you cherish and make the most of it while you can.

What if you were told that there’s a chance to relive your high school days again? High school is a place to learn, develop, and begin the stairs of adolescence. The opportunity would be an experience like almost no other. ReLife offers a story of life experience, one that tests the water of a character’s values and chance for reinvention. ReLife’s return consists of a 4-episode OVA that brings the staff and cast back from the original series. While I had hoped for a full season to capture the true essence of the manga, it’s important to note that these four episodes are imperative for theoverall story plot. The main characters return and their personalities are what you’d expect from these OVA episodes. Furthermore, we get the comedy gags that fans may be familiar with from the previous season and manga. The story itself isn’t complicated to understand. With an established premise already being set, these episodes focuses on expanding the characters’ roles along with their relationships. These include learning more about Ooga’s family, building an important connection between Kaizaki/Hishiro, and reflecting on their life experiences and values. While some of the elements of this story is easily predictable (in particular the romance), it never ceases to stray from its storytelling. There are hints dropped throughout these episodes that heavily hints on a developing connection between the main characters. Furthermore, it takes place in a high school life setting and there’s almost no limit on how characters can enjoy themselves. The first three episodes includes a cultural festival with maid outfits, butlers, and dates. While it seems silly at first glance, it’s also hard to not fall in love with the characters in their roles. The moments when Kaizaki and Hishiro are together can be described in so many words and can easily make viewers cheer for them to get together. The final OVA episode serves as the ultimate end game that ties to dots together. While this OVA series may sound almost like a big ship tease, it’s about more than that. It highlights the importance of human life and what one can do if they had a chance to relive a part of it again. For Kaizaki, I believe he learned a lot from his experience. He begins to value himself and what he can do for others while learning from his past mistakes. It’s a title that invites reflection. Plus, I feel like these OVA episodes accomplishes at expanding and concluding the plot of the original series. After all, the first season felt rather open ended and invited questions of ‘what ifs’ and ‘how will it end’. Luckily, we have the answers now. As a fan of the manga, my personal impressions from the OVA left me wanting for more but it’s evident that there’s not much else they can expand on this. An experiment doesn’t last forever and neither can a story. From just these four episodes though, it manages to capture the attention of the audience and get its point across at how important life experience is for high schoolers. The psychology and inner thoughts serve as a constant reminder of character connections. However, I will say that after a while, it feels the show can be a bit tedious as many of the dialogues gets repetitive. If you’re not a fan of this type of storytelling, then it may be hard to enjoy. Staff from the previous series return to make this happen so expect the anime adaptation style to look very similar. Luckily, it manages to retain the quality with the character designs, setting, and facial expressions. A big part of the comedy comes from the humorous character expressions and I can gratefully say that this anime manages to capitalize that once again. It can range from silly looks that characters throw at each other during casual conversations to a more serious moody tone during emotional moments. Character voice mannerism on most parts are adapted in consistent with their personalities. The one that caught my attention the most is Hishiro as she is able to open herself more to others. ReLife: Kanketsu-hen (ReLife Final Arc) serves as not just a gift for the fans of the anime and manga but also as a way to give this franchise its deserving sendoff. I began reading this series since its debut and can safely say that it’s been an emotional journey. The final arc made me fall in love with this series all over again and proves how an unorthodox plot like this can work in modern times.
