Synopsis
On one noteworthy day in the Adventurer's Guild, Kazuma Satou encounters someone unexpected—a fan of his named Ran. Surprised that he even has a fan, Kazuma attempts to play it cool to impress her. Unfortunately for him, the guild's receptionist arrives with a request to defeat a giant golem guarding some ancient ruins, and Kazuma accepts only to keep Ran's admiration. Upon Kazuma and his party's successful return from the ruins, Kazuma continues to shamelessly brag to Ran. Capitalizing on his desperation, the receptionist approaches him with another quest that requires him to return to the same ruins. God's Blessing on This Wonderful Art! is yet another hilariously absurd adventure in the KonoSuba universe, delivering exactly what fans of the series have come to love—chaotic party dynamics, awkward misunderstandings, and a whole lot of over-the-top ridiculousness. This OVA keeps the comedy sharp and the energy high. The chemistry between Kazuma and the rest of his dysfunctional party—Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness—is as strong as ever. Watching them bounce off each other never gets old, and this episode adds even more charm to their already ridiculous group dynamic. The comedy lands consistently, blending pervy antics with perfectly timed reactions and visual gags that make the wholething feel like a short but satisfying extension of season 2. While it's not a must-watch for the main story, it adds just enough extra flavor and laughs to be worth the time—especially if you're already a fan. It may not reach the comedic peak of some other KonoSuba moments, but it’s definitely a solid addition to the series and a fun little detour before jumping into the next season.

I really like the world building we get from this OVA. The fact that pretty much all the crazy advanced magic in the universe is the result of another shut-in NEET like Kazuma. It has a lot of implications for the story going forward, but mostly it's just hilarious. And the whole sex robot thing, brilliant. The little golem hunting quest that our main cast gets to go on is also fun, showing us yet another botched mission by the worst adventuring party ever. Honestly as a group they could make anything fun to watch, because of the unique ways they'd all find to screwit up. So, really funny stuff, very on brand for KonoSuba, if you're a fan of the series you'll likely very much enjoy this. 8/10

Quick take: Konosuba Art offers little laughs compared to it's parent counterpart and continues the trend of making me feel sorry for the characters rather than having a good laugh at their expense. It's worth it if you're going to watch the movie directly after, as I think it makes the whole situation a bit funnier, but otherwise, it's nothing more than an OVA that you could easily glance over. The story is simple enough and focus' mostly on Kazuma. It creates some comedic moments, but seems to also focus on the tragedy that is our protagonists' story. I end up feeling bad for Kazuma morethan I feel happy from laughing. I found the art to be enjoyable and better than the average anime from the late 2010s. I also found the sound to be enjoyable as well. The music was good and never distracting and the OP was nice to hear. The acting (English) was spot on and lent a lot to the comedy portrayed. The character development and situational humor is subpar compared to the rest of the series. Konosuba Art is worth it if you're going to watch the movie directly after, as I think it makes the whole situation a bit funnier, but otherwise, it's nothing more than an OVA that you could easily glance over.

Amazes me that people rate this show poorly, the show isn't supposed to be some god tier story like FMA brotherhood or some god tier plot and pacing like Death note. Its supposed to silly, relaxed, and comedic. You watch this show and its OVAs for the characters and the humor, this show is top tier and the only people who can find fault with it are pretentious and literally just want to hate on this show. Its like hanging out with your friends without a worry in the world, thats how I describe this show, and thats why I love this show.

KonoSuba Ova 2 At least I have to say that this ova was somewhat more quality than the first. Here again, an attempt was made to bring bizarre elements into focus and to remove the fan service. It worked to a certain extent, this single episode was quite strange as one would expect from the series. However, it contained hardly any actual joke and was mostly monotonous and flat. It doesn't come close to the actual level of the series and yet remains disappointing. However, it contains a little more connection to the actual world of KonoSuba and should therefore at least be looked at. Even if theseries doesn't have a story anyway, this is at least a fragment of it.

Another hilarious outing from the crew of Konosuba. In this, Kazuma and the gang are recruited to go and handle some golems at a ruin that are scaring the local villagers. The hilarious angle of this OVA is why they end up going to deal with the golems, but I won't say anything so as to spoil it. If you're a fan of Konosuba, you already know what to expect here. Ecchi, fan service, S, explosions and absolutely NO morals. If you're not a fan of Konosuba, you should not watch this and instead go start season 1 so youcan become a fan of it. It's the funniest Isekai anime ever made. Seriously.

Just personal scratch. Advised, possible spoilers. Opinion & Informal Art: 7/10 Overall, the same good art quality from the second season. Anatomy and proportions looked appealing. Subtle service shots were appreciated (like when Aqua was looking through one of the desks). Direct service shots looked appealing. Like the later half of the first season and the entirety of the second season, breast anatomy and physics were paid special attention to in this special episode more so than what I'd see in an ecchi-dedicated show which is a nice touch. Interiors were nicely detailed and looked fine. Exteriors looked fine too. However, the quality of nature showcase such as trees, foliage, and up-close shots of the landscape were the same from both main seasons: average and not too pretty. Animation: 7/10 In my personal opinion a noticeable step-up from the main first season and more in line with the good quality from the second season. The animation, compared to the first season, was more fluid, enjoyably erratic, and had a lot of personality to it. The odd facial expressions, body language, and shifts in any of the motion were flamboyant and added a lot to the kind of atmosphere the last quarter of the first season and what the second season were trying to go for. Overall, I like the direction the animation took for this special episode compared to the main first season because it is more or less a taste of the broad quality improvements I saw in the second season. Characters: 5/10 Character dynamics followed the exact same formula from both seasons in which the weird points of each character were pretty much their sole driving force for any of their actions, screen time, or role in the plot which I found meh about this show in general and is what I felt was a let down. Plot & Development: 5/10 No plot or character development, but follows the same shenanigan formula from the second season which wasn't too bad. Music: 5/10 Same bgm and soundboard form the main seasons. No sound design to note. OP and ED the same from the second season. Conclusion: 5/10 Average open-ended conclusion for a special episode. Overall: 5/10 Overall, good art, good animation, average plot regardless if this show is a parody of isekai, and an average special episode overall.

This was a pretty fun OVA, you had the basic formula of an Konosuba episode mixed in with a side story that didn't really need telling but turned it into something fun. I think this could have easily been apart of season 2 it fits right in. Story: Mainly showing the lengths that Kazuma is willing to go to, to make himself seem better/cooler than he his while also still begin a scum, plus some backstory on a character you wouldn't expect. C+ The art and sound were average to a bit wonky here, not sure how to explain it but it felt a bitoff. C Overall it was still fun to watch, gave me some good laughs and its a formula that can keep working as long as they use it right.

[6.0/10] _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Y'know what? I think this OVA was better than the majority of season two. It brought back a lot of the charm that I missed with Konosuba's second outing and instead of recycling the same jokes and creatures, they ended up giving us a cute story that was just good enough, in my opinion. Season two was bogged down by stale character dynamics that were already getting old in season one. It also didn't employ any of the tactics its similar sitcom brethren tend to add to their second seasons, such as an additional cast member or a small over-arching narrative. Instead, we got thesame old stuff. To the point where the series was re-using creatures from the first season to virtually the same results. It was a bit of a bore. While it improved as it went on, it was still disappointing when compared to the first season. With this OVA, it provides exactly what I've missed in this series. Goofy antics and characters in a slice-of-life adventure, but also some originality. While the dynamics are as banal as ever, what ends up elevating this episode is the frantic pace and constant progression of the isolated narrative. From the rather mediocre second season, we get a surprisingly sweet detour with the OVA that thankfully doesn't focus on the unbearable fan-service that the first season's OVA became plagued by. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ [Robots, Masochism, and Fangirls] This story starts with Kazuma realizing that his reputation has increased in this starter-town. So much so that he even has a fan now! Her name is Ran and her design is utterly hideous. Distractedly so. Konosuba generally has solid, if a little lazy designs, but this character who plays a solid secondary role in this episode was difficult to look at. Regardless, she's there to create the main conflict for Kazuma. She explains how much of an inspiration he is for her, and in regular Kazuma fashion, he lets that get to his head. He flaunts his successes. Firstly, being the eradication of a massive golem, and the second being the excavation of some secret ruins. This of course leads to two separate, yet equally entertaining flashbacks that make up the meat of the episode. We even get some potentially cannon lore about the previous, Japanese visitor that roamed this world before Kazuma, which was fun. The story, in predictably comedic ways, ends up creating some solid sequences of both action and banter that, while undoubtedly cliche for the series, are ultimately fun enough. That's the easiest way to describe the OVA. Fun enough. It isn't standing out in any way, but then again it is a comedy anime and it is an isekai and it does have fans to please. If all those things add up to something it is relatively predictable humor and character interactions. If you weren't a fan of a screaming blue-haired god or an eccentric loli or a masochistic warrior, then I doubt you'd enjoy this. There isn't much new here. But there is a charm in the old, especially during the glimpses where I felt like I was back in the first few episodes of season one, seeing these characters for the first time and truly loving this series. While these moments didn't last long, they were there. One such moment involved some wicked banter before the Golem attacked. While I always seem to shit-talk this series for its less-than-creative character dynamics, when these four are stuck together and are bouncing off each other, there is enjoyment to be had. It's only when they become separated where you begin to truly see just how shallow these characters are in terms of the kinds of insights and reactions they can provide. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ [Key Frames, Smears, and Color] The animation is in-line with the rest of the series. They thankfully don't rely on goofy faces taking up the majority of the punchlines because while that felt unintentional and funny in season one, it quickly became overdone and forced in season two. The animation here is as cartoony as the series usually is. Low-detail models and wonky over-exaggerated character animation has always been the highlight of the presentation in this series. Their use of smears in the fill-frames is great and makes for really elastic and entertaining models to play around with. The presentation apart from that is very mediocre, of course. We still have a plethora of generic backgrounds that don't have any actual, interesting detail to them and of course the less-than-impressive directing. I do want to shout-out the editing though, as it is quite good here. There are a few jump-cuts that got me to breath air out of my nose, and that's a good sign. Konosuba's abrasive music queues are still there and still hit-or-miss. We get some good moments where the music cuts and the character delivers a stinger, we also get the same swelling choir that we've gotten a hundred times before. These just get somewhat old. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ I'm quite happy with the way this OVA turned out! It could've easily been yet another pandering bore like the previous one, and it could've easily been just as boring as a lot of the first half of season two was. Instead, we got twenty-five minutes of frenetic moments that while yes, undoubtedly rested on this series' previously established laurels, occasionally recaptured the essence of what made the first season so lovable. The series was never laugh-out-loud funny to me, but then again most shows aren't. It was always quaint and easy to enjoy. I hope that if we do end up getting a third season, that it follows route with the OVA and delivers more quests, more adventures, and less redundancy and repetitiveness.

U need to watch the season 1 and 2 before u start watching this in order to understand the super one line joke.(God those jokes r making me laugh even now). This series is made for pure enjoyment. I am repeating it again, its for pure enjoyment not any story shit or emotional strike. It will make u laugh every every second. For the rest just watch it and be amazed. HAVE FUN !!!!

Al hope seemed lost when Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 2 came to a close. There would be no more EXPLOSIONS or 'Kazuma desu' for us to enjoy. But then, as if it were a gift from Aqua-sama herself, Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo 2! OVA (which will now be referred to as simply 'Konosuba') graced us with its presence. Did it live up to the expectations? I mean, of coruse it did. It's Konosuba, what do you expect? - SPOILERS AHEAD (Obviously) - Story: 8 (I might as well include a summary since there isn't currently a summary on the OVA's page). Following the events ofthe second season, Kazuma and his ragtag group of allies are living the "high life" after defeating 3 of the Demon King's generals. The episode begins with Kazuma at a bar contemplating questioning his decision to order Whiskey even though he can't handle such drinks. Then, a newbie adventurer named 'Ram' confronts him and tells him how much she looks up to him as an adventurer. Seeing this as a chance to have a girl like him, he immediately gives his Whiskey to Ram as she will she will have to be able to drink these kind of drinks in order to be an adventurer like him. Following that event, Luna (the manager of the guild) orders Kazuma to have him and his guild travel to the ruins of an ancient castle and slay the golems that reside there. The rest of the episode shows Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness confronting the golem and defeating it (with Megumin now wanting one as a 'pet'). Later, Kazuma continues to tell Ram about his adventure and poking fun at Mitsurugi Kyouya (the chosen one of the world and the one who wields an ancient sword) who he had previously "defeated" in Season 1. Kazuma and the gang are then ordered to investigate the ruins further. They find the diary of the man who had previously lived there (and happened to be reincarnated from Japan like Kazuma). The man appeared to have created many unsuccessful attempts at robots who would serve him (in more ways than one). Following the destruction of the ruins, Kazuma returns to the guild only to find that Ram was being paid by Luna to look up to him which would motivate him to do his job in return. While this story isn't quite as outlandish as some of the other plots we've seen from Konosuba, it certainly gets the job done. In addition, we even see some more insight to some characters, notably Kazuma and even Luna who would usually only make minor appearances throughout the series (I'll go more in depth in the 'Characters' section). Whenever we see Kazuma and the gang at the ruins, we see nothing but humor which is what Konosuba does best. The most significant, if not surprising aspect of this OVA, is the backstory we get. We learn the backstory of the man who had created the 'Destroyer' (which was the enemy of the Season 1 finale), which was also the man who was reincarnated into this world and the one who created these robots. This serves as exceptional world building, and when paired from what backstory we got from Season 1 of the man, we get a complete backstory as a result. However, the choice to make this OVA feature backstory when the possibility of a Season 3 is still up in the air seems questionable. Though it could also be seen as a way to tie up loose ends. Overall, the story does a good enough job to keep us entertain and serves as a way for multiple gags and innovative jokes to be used. Art: 9 Konosuba has always been a series where people debate on whether the animation is good. Some see it as lazy, while others see it as a breath of fresh air. However, there is no doubt that the transition of animation between Seasons 1 and 2 were minimal, but noticeable. Luckily, this OVA serves as a good middle ground between the two. We get the hilarious expressions that we've (mostly) come to love from Season 2, and the polish from Season 1. Some highlights include the first scene with Kazuma at the bar, the battle with the giant robot, and the final scene with Kazuma's hilarious expression. It's clear that the animators had more time to work on this as it manages to surpass the majority of previous episodes and stand alongside the great animation of the Season 2 finale. Sound: 8 It's Konosuba. The soundtrack is great as it is. We see a bit of new music in this episode, but it primarily contains tracks we've already heard. If it's not broke, don't fix it. Character: 9 Believe it or not, for not only a Konosuba episode, but a standalone OVA, it does a great job of character development for nearly all of the characters, even if it is subtle in some cases. First of all, there is Kazuma. Since the end of Season 2, him and his allies have grown a reputation of being a group of misfit oddballs that somehow get the job done when it matters. We see Kazuma being aware of this in the first bar scene when people mention his reputation with drinking. However, he still retains his overconfidence when talking to Ram. In addition, Kazuma's trait of being sly is featured heavily in this episode. He supposedly leaves Ram to believe that he is a great adventurer who can defeat a Golem with no difficulties whatsoever and convinces Megumin to join him and fight the Golem. Nevertheless, Kazuma remains to be the Kazuma we all know and love. The final scene displays his reputation among adventurers so well that we feel sympathetic for him. Though he isn't praised constantly for being the hero that will save the world, people rely on him and his allies to get the job done in whatever way possible. When he sees what Ram and Luna have been doing behind his back, we truly feel sorry for him as he practically cries due to being treated as somebody who's only purpose is to defeat enemies rather than being seen as a decent person. That leads to Luna who though doesn't get as much screentime as any other typical side character, still gets a enough development to be praise worthy. Her notable scene is also the final scene in which she reveals that she had paid Ram to motivate Kazuma to get some work done. When she notices that Kazuma had heard their conversation, it is clear that she doesn't see Kazuma as a complete idiot when it comes to his personality, but she can't quite describe what makes him something that isn't that. Nevertheless, she along with Ram are the driving forces of the plot which is a nice change of pace considering that they would usually only adventure if it benefited themselves. Honorable mentions go to Darkness who gets one brief moment of character development near the end. She states that once Kazuma is let down by Ram and her true motive, that her, Megumin, and Aqua should be nice to him. However, in true Konosuba fashion, all three of them laugh at him behind his backs when they see what unfolds between him, Ram, and Luna. Enjoyment: 10 It's Konosuba. That means explosions, hilarious expressions, multiple gags (both new and old), and even a sympathetic scene. It doesn't stray from the Konosuba formula, but that doesn't make it bad. It's funny. For an anime like Konosuba, that is the selling point. As such, it delivers. Overall: 8 In short, Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 2 OVA is the definition of a 'solid' episode of Konosuba. It has laughs from beginning to end and brings out the best of our favorite characters. It even throws in some backstory and character development. If you've watched and enjoyed Konosuba, then you'd love this. Bonus - Best Quote Though I'd normally be reviewing a series, I'll still give the OVA the bonus treatment. My favorite quote of the episode was: "Kazuma-san, you're kind of a good guy!" - Ram and Luna Though the "Steal!" at the end was a close second...

Crimson black blaze, king of myriald worlds, thought , I promulgate the laws of nature, I'm the alias of destruction incarnate, in accordance with the principle of all creation. Let the hammer of eternity descend unto me!!!!!!!!!!!!EXPLOOOOOOSION!!!!!!!!!BOOOOOOM!!!!! And the OVA of Konosuba season 2, has ended, so what??????? Mediocre 5, story: Ok, so the usual plot, the usual scenario, the usual bad luck were Kazuma's party were still experiencing it , frankly this OVA can qualify as episode 11, in fact Studio Deen should have included it with the regular airing of Konosuba season 2. Mediocre 5, Art: Let me see, the same character illustrations, the same situation where wedon't see any good fanservice except for Aqua's commando butt and frankly Rem's butt doesn't count as well, , it goes to show that original creator, Natsume Akatsuki is an assman. Mediocre 5, Sound: Well, you guys are smart, so go figure it out as to why I give it such score. Poor 3, Character: The thing is, in this OVA Kazuma went from funny to boring as well as the rest of his harem, Rem and that Big Boob Luna didn't do much except make Kazuma's character worse, also their jokes and gags were pretty much worn-out, to the point that I find Aqua, Darkness and Megumi as irritating than funny. Decent 4, Enjoyment: Frankly the only part I enjoy here is Rem, who was seemly trying to punked Kazuma, were she did, but end up being found out together with Luna by the stupid latter and got to have their panties stolen...........yeah, he did used the "Steal" spell, but, I would have wish that the two would have gave Kazuma a good beating, it may have add some laughs, too bad Studio Deen didn't thought about it. Poor 3, Overall: Everything were already worn-out, and frankly the OVA was rather boring, it's like eating curry for the 4th time in a row. EXPLOSION!!!!!!!!!!!!

Warning possible Spoilers Not really sure what to say about this OVA other than it felt like some kind of origin story for the giant killing machine that we saw in the first season, hey at least we got to see the gang again. The story of this OVA is that Kazuma and the gang have to investigate an area of ruins which they discover to be the origin of the person who created the giant killing machine from S1. Now this OVA kinda lackluster compared to other Konosuba episodes even the OVA for season 1 was much better than this, it just felt toned down I meanthe characters were still fun and there were some funny moments, but I was expecting something more other than a life story about the person who made a giant killing machine although he did create a giant mecha robot that did fondle with Darkness' breasts and a robotic masochist anime girl that was something Kazuma wasn't expecting plus that he was being tricked into thinking he had a fan who was really just being paid to cheer him up which didn't work out so well for them, but there really wasn't anything special with this OVA. The characters were still the usual people they are just a ragtag bunch of misfits yet there wasn't really much misfitting this episode and Aqua actually didn't cause any mayhem for once so surprisingly they got the job done.......mostly a few explosions did cause a few problems, so other than that there really wasn't much new with the characters. The artstyle was pretty much the same as usual, but there were some cool stuff like a giant mecha robot which after the battle did show Aqua's unique skill to build a robot made out of milk cartons which was surprising and the robotic anime girls looked pretty funny too although the masochist one is definitely one you wouldn't want to bump into. The comedy was still good, but lacking like something was holding back the developers or they just couldn't think of something amazing like we've seen in the past couple of seasons, but at least we got to see Megumin's cat scratch the hell out of Aqua. Overall this was ok for an OVA even though it was lacking compared to the previous stuff the series has offered to us, hopefully whenever a season 3 is made they'll improve this and give us another fantastic season of seeing our new favourite misfits messing up once more.

Kazuma getting a fangirl...it can't be possible! Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 2 OVA is an isolated episode about well Kazuma showboating to a newbie adventurer by the name of Ran and the dysfunctional main party goes adventuring due to this with their unusual quirks and hijinks. By all means this OVA has the typical hilarity and comedic edge as the 2nd season of Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!, that hasn't changed in this OVA neither is Kazuma's karmic luck and how even by LA even stating LA's first statement to this review that something is up. But even by the structure of this OVAwith each quest the main party takes on having more to an increasingly weirder "threat" as well as information pertaining to these quests being linked in some way. Besides that, this OVA does give us something in terms of plot that ONLY refers back to a certain incident in the first season but LA won't obviously spoil on that on. In terms of animation, the animation done once again by Studio DEEN is done by the typical KonoSuba's enforced low quality animation but the animation shines in terms of focus on detail in some animation to it's fluidity in some scenes. Nonetheless Studio DEEN's specialized take on their animation on KonoSuba is expected quality as per usual. In terms of voice acting, well it's top notch once again especially from Jun Fukushima's adlibbing-esque and reactionary talents that makes this OVA bearable, heck Aqua is also bearable due to her being a catalyst to Jun and two words for Sora Amamiya made this OVA *ahem* "GOD requiem..." Overall, the voice acting is great and to be expected from these voice actors playing their roles for 2 seasons. Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 2 OVA is a nice isolated OVA with a nice reference back to the first season and just typical hijinks antics from the dysfunctional party to a nice karmic payoff as the ending.

I went into this expecting the same quality OVA as the one from the first season. I didn't get what I expected. Here's a short review explaining why you might as well spend 20 minutes of your life on something else. Story: 4/10 Kazuma and the crew walk into a dungeon, fight a thing, masochistic Darkness acts as a masochist, back to the guild. Same old jokes. Same old scenarios. Same old interactions. The only laugh I got out of this OVA was a bad keyframe. Art: 3/10 It's either over animated with too much movement for simple scenes, either badly keyframed. As I said before, the animation islaughably bad. Sound: 5/10 Aqua makes me want to punch her because of her annoying squealing voice. Nothing outstanding. Some sound errors here and there that most people probably didn't notice. Character: 3/10 We were introduced to a new character, and I honestly don't know her name, so I'll call her "White Hair Spot McGee". White Hair Spot was a forced attempt at a joke, and that's pretty much it. She's also awfully designed. Enjoyment: 2/10 I got a laugh out of a bad keyframe, and that's it. Overall: 3/10 Don't waste your time on this.
