At least there was an ending. It was hurried and messy and it skipped a lot of stuff, but well at least there is an ending. So many anime's out there that don't have that. The OVA itself was hurried, they skipped a lot of explanation. I think if they made short OVA series it would've been a lot better. It's also too bad they didn't even show the ending properly like in the manga. Guess I'm glad I read the manga, otherwise it would've been a disappointing ending. If you only saw the anime I do recommend reading at least the last chapters of the manga so you mightfeel more satisfied about their ending. If you have the time you might read it as well from the beginning to end.

This OVA was made simply because they had to conclude the anime somehow. It skips multiple meaningful arcs to the story and tramples on everything that had been done until now to conclude the story. For people who watched S1, S2 and Kako-hen, I recommend continuing the manga before coming to this OVA. Regardless, the OVA was a short, fun watch that brings together all characters we've seen until now and is definitely a trip of nostalgia as you look back on Nanami and Tomoe's final moments as master and shinshi. TL:DR- Read the remaining arcs of the manga, then watch this. It feels rewarding if youdo that, but rushed otherwise.

I started this anime just a few days ago and I knew that the anime will be a cliffhanger. Before watching, I checked how many seasons this anime had and found out that there's only two seasons and OVA's only. The Kako-hen was good though but many side stories were cut off because they didn't made a whole season instead of an OVA. Not gonna blame them though. But what I did was to read the manga after watching the kako-hen because I loved this anime so much, it gave me different feelings that I couldn't describe into words. Reading it just a few ahours then I watched this OVA, the whole OVA just covered the true ending of the story which is good on its own, it covered every important points of the ending. If something is missing, its the remaining chapters of the manga. Hence, I recommend everyone to read the manga right after watching this.

I have not personally read the manga, but I have heard from people who have that there was way more to this story towards the end, including mentioning the ritual that made Tomoe human... as someone who has only watched the anime all the way through, I was very dissatisfied at this overly rushed ending. There could've been so much more said, so much more explained... this anime had the potential to have a beautiful, fulfilling ending, but this OVA just did not deliver on doing that in many aspects. Overall, this was the most disappointing ending to a great anime that I haveever seen. Knowing what I do now after watching this, I wish I could go back to right after I finished the Kako-hen season and just read the manga from there. --((SPOLIERS FOR THIS OVA AHEAD))-- Don't get me wrong, I loved the fact that Tomoe and Nanami got married; in fact, that was something that I'm sure every Kamisama Hajimemashita fan was looking forward to seeing happen in the show at some point. However, the wedding scene in and of itself was sad. Where was the wedding kiss? Where was them giving their wedding vows to each other? Where was the transformation process of Tomoe turning into a human? And not to mention the fact that just everything about this episode, including the wedding itself was rushed.

♥♥ I personally loved this and gave it a 10/10, it really put an end to the series itself even though I wanted a season 3. This final episode really helped the anime have a real finish even though I know some people are not as satisfied. If they do decide to make a season 3 later I'll also be very happy as well. This ending really made me cry at the end with the music and how Tomoe turned human and really gets to spend his life with Nanami and even how their gonna leaving everyone. I'm really gonna miss this series!!♥♥😭 This episode actually mademe cry and anime series make me rarely cry so this was a wonderful anime series to me! I really wanna thanks everyone who was involved with this anime series especially the creator Julietta Suzuki and TMS Entertainment for animating this anime! It would be really cool if they do decide to make a season 3 I'll be waiting if it does eventually comes out (if it does!). ♥♥♥(Still Crying!!!😭)♥♥♥

I think the only people who could’ve been happy with this “conclusion”, are people who have read the manga and already know the full story. This OVA is just a slap in the face to the anime watchers. They gave viewers an ending without tying up any of the loose ends to some of the plots that were introduced in season two. It left more questions than answers, leaving the audience overwhelmingly dissatisfied and I'm honestly insulted they thought this would give the fans of this anime closure. This short 12 minute long episode was the most lazy and rushed way to end what isessentially a great anime. I’m keeping my fingers crossed and hoping there is a season three with a proper ending so that I can forget this ever existed...

Note: Review based on this OVA only and is not compared to the manga. --- After watching the previous Kamisama Hajimemashita seasons/episodes I was really looking forward to watch this OVA. I was sad and excited for the ending of one of my favourite series so far. However, after completing this OVA I can say that my expectations were too high. To begin with, the OVA was really short (12 minutes), it seemed like a lot of scenes were missing. As one of the other reviewers said it felt like it was rushed, which I kinda agree to. This short ending left a lot of questions for meunanswered. I did not understand why certain things happened, etc. Furthermore I feel like the progression of characters wasn't shown in this OVA, specially Tomoe's. To sum up I'd say this OVA was slightly disappointing and confusing. On the other hand, the romance and the warmth of the anime stayed along with the music and visuals. It was really nice to experience it once again. Overall, I would give this OVA a 7/10: Ratings (OVA): Story 7/10 Art 8/10 Sound 8/10 Character 6/10 Enjoyment 7/10 --- The anime itself is amazing and cannot be ruined because of a single OVA. I recommend still watching this OVA and possibly reading the manga too. - Dom

I wasn't disappointed. Not at all. After watching the whole kamisama Hajimemashita, I felt glad that I discovered this anime. It brought back the good feelings of delight that I have forgotten in the past. I'm glad, so glad. The plot of Kamisama Hajimemashita is not perfect, mostly at the time-travelling part. I'm slightly uncomfortable from it and it kinds of makes my head hurt although I understand what its trying to let me understand. Still, it made me feel at ease. There are not much anime with many seasons and ovas that actually finishes the whole series and give it a proper ending. KamisamaHajimemashita is one of those show that offers me so many good memories that I'll remember as I continue my anime journey. The ending was great and I think that it is well-deserved. Although it could've been a PERFECT ending in my opinion if they show some of their daily life when both of them became human. But still, this ending is already perfect and I'm happy that they ended up together. Thank you TMS Entertainment for producing a fine piece of art, thank you voice actors, staffs, singers and more for helping each other to make this anime possible. Although this anime is perfect, I will not put it in my favorites. However, I will remember the feelings this anime offer to me as time passes by. Thank you very much. - Sincerely, Agent_Redacted

Overall, I really enjoyed this OVA :-) However, I think that a big part of my enjoyment was because I also had just freshly finished the manga. There's a lot of missing plot that they didn't cover, and by a lot I mean entire arcs are missing. But I think that's because of limitations of how many episodes the studio could make, and if you read the manga, you can treat it just as an animated version of the last few chapters. I think if you didn't read the manga, the OVA will be less enjoyable because coming from an objective point, it's really rushed andthe character development isn't shown at all and feels kind of fast. If you read the manga and watched the anime though, this is a nice short way to end the series and give you closure! Even though the anime is missing a lot of arcs and character development, it's essentially just an animated version of the last few chapters and you can fill in the missing anime arcs with what you read in the manga. Loved it, and love this series even more after coming back a second time around years later!

SPOILER WARNING!!! the ending of the anime was absolutely devastating and surprisingly made me cry... Alot. i feel like the end was sorta rushed and could have ended in a way better way. instead of Tomoe becoming a regular human being and Naname giving up her role of land god- cant they stay together just the way they were? Naname was a human god after all so I'm sure that MUST have at least increased her life span... plus it could have been great if Tomoe became a regular human while still living with Naname in the Mikage shrine.. the music fit very well with the ending ofthe anime and teared me up quite alot. its a shame the anime didn't have a different ending, but nonetheless i still enjoyed it alot and it was a ride worth the time.

Reading through these reviews, it sounds as though some of you may have missed the four OVA's that precede this one. That'll certainly put a large time gap in the story! In fact, it's honestly the only reason I'm writing this - to catch some of y'all before you skip too far ahead. I, personally (as someone who did not read the manga), feel that the story rounded itself out pretty well in completion... Aside from the whole Akara-ou thing - what the hell happened there? Overall, though, while perhaps hastily concluded, I find myself to be satisfied with its wrap-up. You know, I was waiting so long to watch season 3 of Kamisama Hajimemashita, till I forget about this anime. I thought season 3 will be like previous season, with 13 episodes, but it's not. After I watch this OVA (it supposed to be season 3), I am disappointed. It skipped so many chapter in the original story. I thought maybe this OVA just animated the ending of the manga, or something like that. Nothing special in this OVA (the important ceremony to turn Tomoe into human was not showed). If you like Kamisama Hajimemashita and already watch till Kako-hen, you should read the manga first tillend, and then watch this OVA, or your expectation will ruined.

I give this anime 10/10! I loved this anime! The romance was so touching. I feel like this was the perfect ending. I won't spoil anything for those who may want to watch it or are currently watching it, but I recommend this anime full on if you are considering. The ending, however, left me wanting to see more, which in my opinion is how an anime should end. It's full of love and kindness and shows how not just the main characters, but also supporting characters develop themselves more and more. Overall, the anime is very well done and I am so satisfied! Iam so happy that I was able to find the ending!

AMAZING. AMAZING. AMAZING. This was such a perfect ending, even though I wish it wouldn't end. You won't be able to fully appreciate this OVA if you haven't seen all the seasons of Kamisama Hajimemashita and the OVA's. This definitely brought back all the feels and left me balling my eyes out in the end. However, I wish there would be more seasons to show what happens after. Story: 10/10 The story is a masterpiece and wrapped up everything perfectly. It was an mazing ending. Art: 9/10I feel as though the art was different compared to season 1 and 2, but nonetheless, it was still really great. Sound: 10/10 The sound was perfect. I especially LOVE LOVE LOVE all the music included. Characters: 10/10 The characters will stay in my heart forever, I love them all. Enjoyment: 10/10 This is by far my favourite anime of all time. I hope there will be more seasons to show what happens after.

This is absolutely appalling. 12 minutes of straight confusion since they thought it intelligent to skip what seems to be a whole arc of the damn story. Even though its obvious they skipped major parts, they skip MORE parts between the mentioning of the ritual and their actual wedding. How did anyone think that this was a good idea to do? What the hell was the thought process? If this was an attempt to drive people into fits of rage and go buy the manga for the full story, its probably going to work. If you ever bother with this, literally skip to the last fewminutes of the wedding, otherwise this completely ruins what they built up over 2 seasons.

The only mind came to my head, after watching this OVA was "WHAT THE ACTUAL hell". Kamisama Hajimemashita was one of my favorite anime and manga. Both had their charms. I loved music, characters, atmosphere... And I was waiting so much for season 3 (well probably 4 to be exact). And this OVA was like a slap in a face. It was dreadful. I had a feeling that authors just wanted to get rid of this anime. It is sad and disappointing. I really do not recommend this OVA. If you want to keep feeling of original anime charm, and continue loving Kamisama Hajimemashita, please oh please avoid thisOVA at any costs!

I was very disappointed by this OVA. I felt like the characters weren't loyal to their image throughout the anime (let alone the manga) and that there was a huge lack of emotional depth since they didn't even show the characters' struggles or complex feelings with the situation or ending and just showed them accepting everything with nothing but happinness which doesn't reflect upon the overall characters' setup throught the anime. The story in this OVA was poor, again because of the lack of emotional depth, the text was pathetic and the animation was bad. I didn't enjoy watching this OVA at all, andas a person who loves this anime and adores the manga I felt like the anime desrved a better summary then this.

I couldn't have asked for a better ending! This OVA, albeit short, definitely meets the expectations as it rounds up the lovely story of Nanami and Tomoe finding their way in a life spend together. It's the good ending I've been personally rooting for since the start and I'm very pleased to be given the actual animation of my preference. The art and music was as great as ever and together with so many characters this OVA felt truly nostalgic. It was great to see the people who helped them along their journey to join them in the end one more time. The OVA was ableto let me relive all the joy from the entire series in as little as 13 minutes! A job well done! If you've been following the Kamisama Hajimemashita series from the beginning, be certain to watch this final piece for it will give you the fullfilment you desired all along!
