Spoiler free just saying how I feel don’t wanna write too much, Wasn’t the best ending to a series but at least it didn’t fuck anything up like soul eater nor it had to be the best ending like code geass. I’d say pretty mid ending for a top tier anime I guess I expected the ending to live up to the ending. But overall nothing too deep just a normal ending I mean just because you didn’t had the best ending doesn’t mean you had a good story overall. And overall this anime is top of the list for me had so many goodmoments glad I watched aot and I’m going to rewatch this shit again. For this movie solely. Animation 9/10 Music 7/10 Story 6/10 Entertainment 6.9/10

I hate this movie more then the first Attack on Titan movie. The sole reason I hate this movie more is because they had to make a second recap movie. Even though the first one was completely pointless, your better of just watching the actual show. But regardless if you like recycled aspects of a good show crammed into two hours, or you want a quick recap of the second half of the first season. Then this movie is just for you. The problem of this movie is that it’s pacing is slow rushed. When you have a really good anime but you are going tohave to cram +11 episodes into a two hour time frame. Important narrative moments and intense scenes are over within seconds and we move to the next scene. The audience is given no time to let the emotional weight settle in, as a result there is no emotional weight. The sound design is not too bad, but only because I have a level of nostalgia for the soundtrack of season one. The sound design as a whole was pretty good but I don’t like it. Mainly because as said before the recycled aspects are just reusing what had been created prior so it’s just a lazy excuse of creating more Attack on Titan content. The animation was pretty good, considering the most important scenes had some pretty good animation in season one. It is enjoyable to see what is basically a highlighted reel of the best animation in the second half of Attack on Titan season one. I don’t want to talk about the characters of the film, mainly because I’ve already talked about how good they were in my review or season one. If I’m being honest the film recaps the portion of Attack on Titan that has the worst character building. Only really focusing on two characters. A crammed and rushed mess of what is an unnecessary recap movie. Considering the film only recaps a portion of the first season. Why would you bother creating a recap movie? Overall, I rank this 3/10.

With the first one, I could pick out specific parts that were omitted for the sake of keeping this feature-length, but I remembered even less about the Female Titan arc than the first one. This one focuses on Eren learning how to control his newfound ability, while his friends begin their time in the Survey Corps. Now there's even less focus on Eren's friends (minus Mikasa and Armin) in order to focus on the more important story elements present in the second half of season one. It was good, but the story beats you'd usually find in a movie are practically nonexistent here; one scene lastsaround 45 minutes, so I'd say that killed the pacing a bit. It's still a good story, but it's definitely told better in the show. If you have any way to access the show, you should take that and leave this be.
